This was one of most relaxing pedicure experiences I've had in awhile. The inside of the shop was so cute, I loved the music playlist which set the tone for relaxation and the glass of wine offered during my service was the cherry on top. Love this place! Teri, the owner is such a doll! So sweet and does amazing work. They can do any design which I love. I usually just show her a picture and she can replicate it with ease. I love that it's appointment only because the salon is calm and relaxing. It's in a perfect location right by lakeside so it's easy to get to even with all the construction on Severn. All changes saved So my normal nail tech was unavailable and it was my birthday weekend. Shame on me for waiting to book an appointment. So I did a thorough research of nail salon options. TBH I stopped going to traditional nail salons about 3 years ago. Any who, I decided to give to give Lacquer a try! I booked a full-set through the Yelp app. This is definitely a plus in my book! However, it timed out on me so I called to schedule it but ended up double booking. I didn't wait long when I arrived and they began service immediately. About 15 minutes into my appointment, the owner switched my nail tech. The young lady that took over is a pretty new nail tech and I could tell by the way she was handling my nails. Her application was not the best and I voiced my concerns with her and the owner. I don't quite understand why one would a tech who isn't fluid in the service I requested to take over. I am very meticulous about my nails. The owner assured me that she would correct anything I didn't like. I ended up being okay with my nails. I noticed more flaws after left but they made it through my birthday weekend. I've scheduled a refill but with another tech. I pray it goes well. Hopefully I can get back to my regular tech soon. Let me just say I was not impressed. I made an appointment for a higher priced pedicure and told them when I arrived that I made an appointment online. I was on the way to lakeside nails and seen this place first. I walked in, and was politely greeted. There was no wait so I was asked to wash my hands then have a seat. I showed her what I wanted and she got right to it. She offered me a drink, I took a glass of wine. We held a good conversation and she finished my nails. This was my first time coming to Lacquer for MY BIRTHDAY two days ago. It was also my first time getting acrylic in years. A terrible job was done on my nails by An Nguyen. The nail beds weren't even cleaned up afterwards. I had to scrape the acrylic off my skin. I was so excited for my appointment and left pissed and disappointed. A former regular at Lacquer even told me my nails looked terrible and they were wrong for what they did. Definitely not worth $55 and I will never come back again nor recommend anyone there!! read more

Stumbled upon this salon after following them on Instagram and my usual nail tech was out of the shop for a few months so I decided to give Lacquer a try. Booked and appointment online with K. When I arrived the salon was really nice and clean. K was unavailable to take me that day and I ended up getting my nails done by Teri and OMG I was so glad I did. I really like her. She did an amazing job. Everyone in the salon is nice including the customers and I always enjoy the conversations. They offer you wine or water while getting your nails done. They have a nice selection of colors to choose from. I have been going to them since February and I absolutely love it! My only complaint is the parking lot is pretty small and they share it with another business. I usually park down the street and walk. Other than that I love them! read more

I wish I could put zero stars. I had a terrible experience while trying to walk-in for a mani pedi. I called twice before heading there to double check it they took walk-ins as stated on Instagram and online. The phone was answered but someone just breathed at the other end of the phone and was unable to answer my questions. I walked in and was immediately told I needed an appointment. I explained what I saw online and she was unable to explain further. She stopped servicing another customer to make a call and came back to hand me a pen and paper and said I would be called back. This was annoying experience and I don't see what the hype is about. They could have at least hand someone on site that can speak English. And if it is appointment only, they should keep their sites updated. read more

I was visiting from out of town and wanted to pamper myself. I got the milk and honey pedi and sns mani done and absolutely loved it! The place is very elegant and clean. Both techs did a great job and my massage was amazing. Whatever they used on the milk and honey pedicure was heavenly. My husband even complimented on how silky smooth my legs were! I tried this place twice and I'm done. It's not that a bad job is done, it's the lack of professionalism and customer service that has really soured me. The first time I went, I had an appointment and sat almost an hour before my nail technician even acknowledged my existence. If it wasn't for their cancellation policy, I would have left. When I finally was being serviced, instead of doing what I requested, the nail technician talked me into another service. My nails looked nice leaving, but when I removed them, I found my natural nails were damaged and that was my main concern that she assuredme wouldn't happen. Months later I found another technician I followed on Instagram was working there so I made an appointment hoping for a better experience. 10 pm the night before the appointment I got a text from a number I didn't know saying the air had gone out and they would be closed the next day. They did not identify themselves and because I had a number of appointments the next day I had no clue who it was. After multiple questions, I was finally able to find out it was for my nail appointment. They apologized and stated they would call to reschedule the next day. That was a week ago and I've heard from no one. This is all I needed. As such I won't be back. read more

I would not recommend . I drove from Slidell to get my nails done because they said they would be able to give me what I wanted. The shape was incorrect, the nail tech was not paying attention and she drilled my finger. It started bleeding and she put a paper towel on it then started to put cuticle oil in it over and over. The gel polish is dripping and has bubbles in it. The Instagram definitely will deceive you I'm not sure which tech is the best but the lady I had did her own thing. I shouldn't have came in with a idea because it didn't matter. I told her and she attempted to file my name after it was polished already. The salon is beautiful and immaculate, and everyone from the technicians to the other customers were all so friendly. It was a great atmosphere. Worst experience in the history of all the nail salons I have visited. I waited over a month for a nail appointment with Mariella. When I got my confirmation days before the appointment, I was assigned an appointment at a different time with a different technician for a different service. Even though I had the text message confirmation for my original appointment, Mariella told me there was nothing she could do and she couldn't see me until February. She told me to book with another technician since "they were all trained the same way." I made an appointment with An, who, after seeing a picture of what I wanted, waited until halfway through the service to tell me she couldn't do the design. She asked Mariella - who was in the salon the whole time I was there - to do the design for me, but Mariella refused. When I asked why she refused to service me after I came in per HER instructions, she just said "I am done for the day, and you don't have an appointment with me." I left without getting the design I was promised (and still had to pay for my nails). During that one encounter and two phone calls - one before and one after - I was seriously disrespected by Mariella in a way I have never been disrespected by a nail technician. I have called Teri, the owner, twice, per Mariella's instructions (again), and Teri has refused to call me back. Terrible experience, horrible customer service, and I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone. To make matters worse, I have somehow been blocked from leaving a review on their app, Vagaro, even though I have a receipt showing I have been there. read more
