We had a FaceTime call first (she was going out of town) so she could see what needed to be fixed and I was able to hear what her plan would be to correct it. I loved it! I was on board and booked my appointment with her. The day of I sat in her chair and she proceeds to put her hands through my hair ... "ohhh yeahhhhh". We talked about the plan, she told me the steps she was going to do and proceeded to gingerly cut away. I also got a shampoo and blow-dry with my haircut. Loved that nice touch on massage! She left me looking 10/10 when she was done! She was so gracious telling me if there is something that needed to be fixed to let her know and she'd do what she could to get me in. I did make one quick trip back but that was not to her fault. We knew that we were going to have to do a grow out to really correct the issue since we are trying to save some length. I am that girl that either doesn't brush her hair in the morning (true story) and just makes sure it's laying nice by running some pomade over flyaways because I do not like using heat! OR I take 5 minutes and use that round brush blowdryer (get you one! so fast!) and the picture I posted was that day. I'm very happy with the results. She had alot to fix and she delivered! Gabby was the only Stylist available last minute, but it worked in my favor. I was lucky to get an appointment within two hours for a blowout. I kinda miss the turn, so ended up parking on the street, but there is parking in the plaza lot that they are in. But otherwise there is plenty of street parking for free along Olive Avenue. Gabby is so sweet, and although I don't mind a heavy-handed Stylist, she is very gentle. The whole experience was very relaxing and satisfied with my end result. My only complaint and the reason I gave only four stars is, I didn't love the shampoo bowls. They don't have the rubber neck support in the bowls, and I just felt like I kept sliding down in the chair and it made me think too hard and not be able to enjoy the shampooing experience. I will definitely come back to see her on these days that I am feeling lazy. I just want to be pampered a little bit. I ended up having her flat iron as well. Blowout alone was $65 and with flat iron was $80 total.

I asked for a French bob and showed the stylist a picture. I left with what looked like a mushroom haircut. For what I was charged, I expected a lot better. Then there was the pricing. The website advertised "Cut and Style $90." I was charged $150 because I was later told styling was a separate charge. When I questioned it, I was told there was a notice at the bottom of the mirrors saying styling was extra. I never saw that notice before or during my appointment, and I was not given an itemized receipt explaining the additional $60 charge. If styling costs an additional $60, that should be made very clear before the customer agrees to the service, not explained afterward. So, in my experience: disappointing haircut, surprising pricing, and definitely not the $150 experience I expected. A barber could have done a better job for $25. I won't be returning.

I work with my hands for a living, and my nails genuinely needed proper cleaning and prep before tips were applied. Instead, I found myself having to repeatedly ask for basic prep work while being made to feel uncomfortable for speaking up. The tips were then applied with excessive glue/product underneath the nails, leaving thick chunks underneath that make the nails difficult to properly clean. When I expressed concern, I was told the glue "had to be there" to make the nails strong. I have been getting my nails done for decades and have never had a technician argue with me for not wanting large globs of hardened glue underneath my nails. When I said I wanted to stop the service, I was told "let me fix it," but the issues were never actually corrected. The nail lengths and shapes were inconsistent, the filing/shaping was uneven, and there were visible imperfections, debris, and rough edges throughout the work. I also had concerns about sanitation. The UV lamp being used appeared dirty and damaged, and the drill/e-file bits looked visibly unclean between clients, which made me increasingly uncomfortable during the appointment. I originally went to Ani with straightened, fine brown hair in hopes of highlights and a better cut for my hair type. Upon her expert suggestions and great eye, she gradually got me to a highlighted golden blonde color without at all damaging my hair along the way. My hair has so much more curl and volume now as well. I have fully embraced the blonde and my curls and have never looked back. I'm usually lazy about booking appointments and was only seeing her every 2-3 months. By the time I would be in the styling chair my roots were all grown out and I was in a serious need of some assistance. In December I switched to her $44/month roots and toner membership and it's been great so far. No more embarrassing roots! iColorHair is in a great location, right across from the super delicious Porto's. And Jenni herself was so personable, easy to talk to and vibe with! When you're with someone for 3+ hours, you want to get along with them!
