We've gone 4X in 8 days! Since my initial review we have tried: salads, the orzo soup and pita sandwiches. The veggie pita is the best I've ever had! Meat options tasty and generous, GREAT falafel. Salads have a lot of cukes, tomatoes, olives and cheese and homemade balsamic vinegarette. Everything has been so delicious. Working our way through the delectable menu! Original review: DELICIOUS! I want to start by saying I saw 2 other reviews stating portions weren't enough. I'm feeling kind of speechless because we got so much it's going to be lunch tomorrow for both of us- and we have healthy appetites. Seems the 2 reviews were written around opening day, so perhaps there were some kinks starting out. Take note I took my photos after my husband devoured almost a whole kabob and I'd eaten a chunk of kafte and some of my veggies. As for price, for such tasty food I didn't feel it was pricey at all. The flavor, uniqueness, variety and quality is way above places like Daphne's, who averages $12 for combo plates. And I like Daphne's just fine. Seriously, we're talking about a dollar more for EXCELLENT food. And the portions are comparable to Daphne's to give a benchmark. There are so many options to choose from. I can't wait to go back and work my way through the menu, but I'll describe what we had. Husband: Chicken kebab plate. Marinated , tender delicious chicken. Two healthy sized kebabs. All dishes come with rice, pita bread and a choice of dip and you get to pick one of several other sides. He got the lemon roasted potatoes (bursting with flavor!). Yup, he carbed out, but it was our first visit and we wanted to eat what appealed most. For dip, he chose tzatziki (very generous portion). And if you get the chicken kebab they pour a chicken au jous over the rice. Mmmmmm. Me: Kefte beef plate: Kefte is my go-to dish at other restaurants. This is the best I've ever had. It was so tender! How did they do it? No idea, but it's fantastic. Lightly seasoned and cooked to perfection. I opted for the mixed veggies as my side. They were roasted, seasoned and delicious. And quite bountiful: red onion, green and red peppers, yellow squash and zucchini. I also got tzatziki. We can't wait to go back and try it all. There's gyro, lamb, a green bean dish, salads, and a couple types of hummus. If you like fancy soda they carry Stubborn and two floral teas. One is watermelon tea. Yum! Place is sparkling clean, all staff wearing masks if important to you, and lots of outdoor seating. My family and I stopped in for dinner to try out Ladera Greek Kitchen. I used to come here when it was a Chinese place, and was excited to see a new opportunity arise that is local to my house. The place is decorated nice, though I've never been to Greece, I felt the vibe. The food is ordered at the register and they bring it out to you when it's done. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and the place was pretty full. I ordered the gyro plate, with fries and a side salad. The gyro meat was tender and the tzatziki sauce was on point, along with the pita and fresh veggies. My niece ordered the pita with the chicken, and that was really flavorful and I will try that one next time. We order the hummus, also good, came with pita triangles on the side. She ordered the feta fries, they were topped with feta and had a wonderful sauce mixed in that really sealed the deal. Staff was friendly, and service was great! I recently decided to try this corner restaurant as I frequent the Great Harvest Bread Company and noticed quite a while ago there was a new Greek Kitchen next door. I'm feeling as though I have to share because I am literally, as the owners cousin Demitris says, "addicted". This is my new 3x a week dinner. I'm 100% hooked on the Grilled Vegetable/Hummus Pita...OMGosh it is the best thing since apple pie. Their hummus is bar none the best I've had and their grilled veggies are FANTASTIC. My husband loves their Gyros Pita and fries. The owner George is very kind and his staff including Cousin Demitris who is straight from Greece, help make the vibe of this amazing restaurant even better. The place is immaculate and the gourmet soda machine is unique and has the best soda I've ever had. Try this place out if you have a minute, I know it will not disappoint. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the food here. Had Greek once a long time ago, and I wasn't a huge fan. But coming here changed my mind. I always love a good spanakopita!!! And it didn't disappoint!!! The potatoes and rice were so lemony, and I LOVE me some lemony, tarty ANYTHING. The lamb souvlaki was probably my favorite thing!!! I'll definitely get the spicy feta dip next time, too. I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures. Haha! This place never fails though. I get the Greek salad with the grilled chicken breast. Everything is crisp and the chicken has always been well trimmed and seasoned. The salad is HUGE. If you are worried about not getting enough, stop there, it's plenty and then some. I have also had the falafel. Great flavor and never burnt! The dipping sauce is very yummy. My daughter gets a chicken skewer with rice. Whatever the lemon sauce is that they use is addicting! Hubby gets the classic gyro. Oh my goodness. Mouth watering and also MASSIVE. Last time, we ordered the feta fries. These also have the lemon sauce and it's very hard not to grab another even when completely over stuffed!! Just do it. I never write reviews but I had to after stumbling upon this amazing Greek restaurant. We ordered the Greek chicken pita and the Souvlaki (pork) pita with side salads. The price seemed a little high at first, however, the food was simply outstanding! The chicken and pork were very juicy and the veggies were fresh. The pita was super soft! The side salad was substantial and packed with cucumbers, olives, pepperoncinis, onions, and feta. The dipping sauces were very flavorful as well. We can't wait to come back and try more! read more

I'm not sure why this place is highly rated, it so bland. The gyro meat is very dry, no crispy yummy edges, the pita is hard , the salad is nothing special and the fries are drowning. The tzaziki sauce is basically yogurt. I added more dill, salt and it needed lemon. The rice is just a bland white rice. To be honest my fiance and I didn't even finish it because it was like eating cardboard. No flavor what so ever. We should drive back for a refund. What a waste of money. I'm so disappointed. I am changing my review to a 3 star, based on customer service. The owner did contact us right away in regards to our review, he was very professional and he took care of our issue. We live in such a contained neighborhood that when a new type of restaurant comes in we hope it's going to be as good as it can possibly be can I see the reviews for this one aren't too bad but because I believe the people in this small neighborhood don't know what they're eating. Or have no expectations of what it taste like other than what these people are serving them. I stopped in for lunch about 11:35 on a Wednesday two other people in the restaurant I ordered a side of falafels with tzatziki sauce and a drink came to almost $10. Price is not an issue the issue was with with the falafels like little hockey puck soaked in grease and burned hard to bite through. The young girl behind the counter asked me how my falafels were and I told her exactly how I felt about him and she did nothing to correct the issue which is the biggest mistake you can make if you're in the restaurant business. The other one would be arguing with a customer I watched the older women in their argue with the only two women customers in there having lunch but they didn't pay for their tzatziki sauce when the woman customer went up to ask for some. I'm not going back in I don't think it's going to be worth it I think I can drive down Jefferson and find much better food read more

Pita wraps are about $9. Falafel pita - 2/5 Gyro pita 4/5 The falafel pita was not good - the falafels were served cold and there is only a drizzle of a bit of yogurt on top. The pita contained large chunks of tomato and watery lettuce. It was very disappointing. Wraps at Cava are WAY better. The gyro pita my partner said had some flavor. However, same issue as mine, the large chunks of tomato, watery lettuce and lack of condiments made it dry. Also - the staff are very young, and not friendly at all. First of all, I generally love the food here and will admit that it is probably my favorite Gyro spot in Temecula. They do it well. However, this is now the third time my order has been incorrect and I wanted to address it. my order was a craft a pita with all veggies except for olives and a gyro plate. They gave us a time estimate of 10 minutes. No problem. We arrived for pick up about 15 minutes later and were told our order wasn't ready yet. No problem! Again, taste and quality are pretty good and more than worth the wait. Finally we get our order and are excited for dinner. After the extra long wait, we get home, and I open my pita to find no veggies on it at all and just a smear of spicy feta. It may not seem like a big deal, but after frequenting this place and having similar issues, I hope it gets addressed. read more

If I could give 6 stars I would. My husband and I have been meaning to have Greek food for (embarrassingly) years, but he had a not so great experience with gyros a long time ago and we never got around to trying a new place. Well I asked him today to look into some Greek places and we would get dinner delivered. I let him do all the research and he found Ladera, and SOOO glad he did! Because he had a not so great taste experience with lamb gyro meat in the past but wanted to try it again, before we set up our delivery order I called and asked if they would make his order with half gyros meat so he could try it, and half chicken in case he didn't like it. They made a one time exception, and so glad they did because he LOVED IT! Not only did we order the gyro but almost everything else on the menu (!) since we hadn't had Greek food in almost a decade. We ordered the eggplant dip, hummus, chicken lemon soup and beef and rice stuffed dolmas. I kid you not, EVERYTHING WAS OUT OF THE PARK FANTASTIC! We tasted everything as soon as we got it and ended up eating dinner at 4:30 because we couldn't stop eating! We quickly called them to let them know how much we appreciated them making a special order for us, and that my husband was now a fan of gyro meat again, and the chicken was also delicious. Meat was moist and tender with SO much flavor. Hummus was rich, smooth and so creamy. The eggplant dip was smoky and delicious, and dolmas with its lemon sauce was heavenly. Soup was also wonderful--we have plenty of leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Excellent customer service and food to match. Don't pass this place up! We will be returning customers, over and over again. LOL we dug in so fast we didn't have time to take pictures, but will do next time! read more
