Saw the lovely signs and stopped by on the way back from Winter Park into Denver, this tiny bakery was a complete gem. They also have hot foods, breakfast sandwiches on croissants or bagels, but being that it was the afternoon and we didn't want to spoil our appetite for dinner, we just got some sweets. I tried the vanilla frosted sprinkled doughnut, and it was probably the most perfect donut I've ever had. My friend also had the custard filled maple donut, and was raving about it. We washed it all down with some hot chocolate, these were also hot steamy and delicious The lady working was a sweetheart, this bakery deserves a lot more attention !

Wow wow wow. I mean wow. The donuts were phenomena! I truly enjoy the texture and how big they were! They are pricey though :( the lady working the counter was very nice and threw in a free donut for being a local (they didn't have local discounts). It's a quaint little donut shop and there wasn't many people when I went. My favorite was their glazed donut which I'm usually not too fond of (too simple) but there's was delish! It sucks that I live so close because I'm forcing my self not to go back too frequently! If you're into yummy high quality donuts you NEED to stop by. Also make sure to bring cash! There's a 3% up charge if you use your card!

Fun little spot to grab a quick bite! Clean restroom too. Service was polite and they have a good selection of pastries!

Kolaches are amazing!!! Worth the stop. Closes at 3:00. Donuts good too. Need I say more.

Worth the 1.5 mile detour off I-70. When we were leaving Breck to go home to KC this came up as the highest rated donut place within a 30 mile radius. All of the donuts were fresh and tasty. The prices were fair and the lady behind the counter was so sweet! Vanilla cake crumble donut- 10/10, apple fritter-11/10, cronut-100/10..

The little bit of apple fritter I could take a picture of since it was gone too fast. Best apple fritter of my husband's life, he says.

Stopped in Empire and tried the donut holes, cronuts, apple fritter and the sausage egg and cheese kolache. All the donuts were well made but my husband is a big apple fritter fan and we try them anywhere we go. He said that these are the best he's had in his life! Crisp on the outside, tender with apple chunks throughout, not too sweet. I usually think apple fritters are okay but I'd choose to eat this one over any donut now. Wow! How is this place in Empire?!

I think I just had the perfect donut. It was fresh, flavorful, and had just the right texture - even later in the afternoon. I see that they also sell breakfast items. I also had some very good coffee.

They were busy when we stopped in on a Saturday morning - busier than usual because apparently the other coffee shop was closed. The staff was apologetic for the chaos but they did an awesome job holding it down! I got an iced vanilla latte, the breakfast sandwich on bagel, and a donut. The donuts are from a local baker and they were delicious! The coffee was also very good. I enjoyed the breakfast sandwich but I think I didn't realize it did not automatically come with cheese. That's on me, so this is my tip to you - it's delicious and would be even better with cheese. There is a little bit of seating inside but a ton of seating outside, which was perfect because it was a nice day. You should definitely stop in if you happen to find yourself in Georgetown. I know I will!

I'm the furthest thing from a health nut you could imagine, but went with veggies wanting to give my hard working heart a tiny bit of a break! I expected sautéed, but it was basically an arugula salad under the egg. Greens, red onion, bell pepper, tomatoes... how does this work? AMAZING! DELICIOUS! Best bite I've had in months. They had some staffing issues so Mama herself (I'm guessing) was there to help out. Fantastic experience all around.

The only thing I didn't like as much was the hashbrowns, they were just okay. I also ordered the jalapeño bread French toast (recommended by our server). I love jalapeño flavor, but I remember thinking it sounded kind of weird for French toast... but I'm glad I tried it because it was so good. They make their breads in-house and I would definitely get that again. I also tried some of my friend's banana bread and that was really delicious too. Didn't get a chance to try these since we had to get to the hot springs soon so thought it's too much food to finish in time, but they had a French toast flight and a Benedict flight, which I've never seen before. Pretty cool, I love anything where you can try multiple flavors. Overall, would reccomend this brunch spot in Idaho Springs. Would come back!

We came in around noon-ish and they were busy though we were able to easily grab a table outside. Their menu offers both breakfast all day as well as lunch. I got their turkey BLT and my friend got their breakfast platter. Mine came with fries and hers came with eggs, choice of meat, choice of grits or potatoes, and choice of french toast/waffles/pancakes. Because of the aforementioned altitude sickness, I did not get to enjoy but a few bites of my sandwich there but had it later and find it to be a delicious, hefty sandwich. The fries were very good! I was jealous of my friends french toast as it looked delicious. She reported it was. As well as the bacon. Much like Idaho Springs itself, this is a cute spot. Definitely worth stopping in, as well as visiting the other businesses in their downtown area. Parking is scarce, but there is both a free parking lot, as well as paid street parking.

I don't even know how long it's been since I first got to know about this mountain town coffee…read moreshop. It's been on the "must go" list for a while but I finally had a chance to visit it on a beautiful mid-February day today. It sure was worth the drive and time all the way from the south Denver. The moment I stepped inside, the warm welcoming atmosphere was sensed. As soon as the lady upfront greeted me cordially, I felt more comfortable and relaxed. The instantaneous gratification hit me where I almost uttered "I am glad that I took the time to come here!" I wanted to peruse the menu. To my "Give me a moment" statement, the kind lady said "Of course, take your time. We also have a Valentine's Day special drink right here!". It was a white chocolate based mocha which sounded quite sweet so I asked her if it was sweet to which she said "It's very sweet but we can always adjust it to half the syrup!" All kinds of considerate words were made in each of her reply. I decided to go simple today; I went with the drip coffee which comes with unlimited free refills. The lady gave me one of the cups and told me where the pot that contained the drip was located. Alongside the pot, there was a super mini refrigerator that contained two jars of cold milk: one is half and half and the other is oat milk. What a kind care the shop does to keep them chilled. The simple drip coffee was just what I needed; it hit the spot. And tasted clean with no burnt notes at all. Quality coffee indeed. As I was immersed in this review writing in the ambient setting, the shop started to fill with guests. Although it's so tucked in this little mountain town, there appear to be "coffee fanatic fans" that know this place. And like me, I assume that many of them are not the local town folk. There is no wonder why they are drawn to it; they know where to find great coffee spots. I loved every single bit of this cozy place. My recommendation is only one of the multitude of others that know this place.
