    Egg Sandwich

There were plenty of reservations available for two on a Sunday. It's a small place with a nice, colorful vibe. The food was tasty. The punch bowl serves 4-6 and was a lot for two people. However, it wasn't too strong. The egg sandwich was tasty and came with crispy potatoes. Server was nice and attentive.

My friends have several allergy and dietary restrictions, so Ladybird had a great menu offering with those in mind, and the staff here is so pleasant! While it was busy on Sunday during brunch hours, the staff was helpful and checked in on us now and then. The portions were small for the food items (nearly $20 for the frittata dish which was like a slice of quiche + side salad), which is what I ordered off the brunch menu. Given the service and the menu that is accommodating to many different dietary restrictions, I recommend this spot!

Booked for boyfriend's birthday dinner and had an amazing experience. All four of us, including the two non-vegans who came with, were absolutely blown away by how delicious everything that came out was. To quote one of their astonishment at how amazing everything tasted, "How do they keep getting away with this?!" Service was top-tier, ambiance incredible as we were able to sit near the open window thanks to great weather that evening.

I thought the food here was delicious and really creative. The avocado dish is half an avocado on a bed of rice that seems to have been lightly battered and fried, and everything is covered with a smoky and savory miso sauce. The crispy sweet potato shreds on the side add a bit of textural variation. I thought this was pretty unique. The tonkatsu sandwich had super crispy bread without being dry. The eggplant on the inside was cooked through, but not mushy. And the sauce on the sandwich was creamy and flavorful. The pickle on the side also had a really distinct herbal taste I couldn't place. My meal came out to about $50 with tax and tip, which is a bit pricey, but worth it.

Dined here for my birthday and wow, absolutely incredible. The Tiramisu French Toast was life changing, seriously unbelievably vegan. sweet enough on its own without syrup. The Frittata was huge and so balancing, the mushrooms really made the dish for me. Also, can't skip out on the fantastic coffee-based beverages. Will be back soon!

Beautifully sophisticated decor, deliciously floral cocktails, and personable/attentive service. My partner and I stopped in for a drink in our quest to barhop through East Village. We were seated with no wait and enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere of the bar. The bartender was genuinely nice and down to earth, provided very detailed recommendations of the drinks when asked, and checked in to make sure we were taken care of. It's hard to find genuinely great hospitality workers and everyone who worked at Ladybird were genuinely nice and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed the Ladybird Reunion cocktail which is equal parts fragrant, sweet and tart. The tartness of the passionfruit cuts the sweetness a bit to make a perfectly balanced cocktail. My partner had the Dodo cocktail which is on the sweeter side but still tasty. My partner and I can't wait to come back to try their vegan tapas. Maybe we'll get a bottle of wine too.

What a good experience. The space is small and cozy with a big food impact. Our servicer's name was Mattie very attentive. Food was served quickly and efficiently. The appetizers bao were to die for. Although, my spouse is not vegan, he enjoyed every bit of his birthday meal.

This was my second time dining here, and once again, everything was amazing. Ale provided fantastic service, making the experience even better. The atmosphere is always welcoming and stylish, the food always delicious, as well the drinks. The French toast is absolutely amazing. From the Trio of B.E.C. buns to the matcha waffle and café con leche, everything was flavorful and well prepared. I'll definitely be coming back again!

I really enjoyed the food here. I passed by it when I went to Cadence last week and made a note to come back. I'm glad I did. The sweet Thai baos were phenomenal (sadly didn't get a picture as we inhaled them). I've never had kimchi Mac and cheese before and it was a delight. The dumplings came in a curry sauce and they were some of the tastiest dumplings I've had in a while. The only thing that I felt was lacking was the matcha tres leches. It looked and tasted more like a trifle, which admittedly is still good. However, the majority of the layers of matcha cake were dry, and the true tres leches part was at the very bottom.

Unique plant-based menu and beautiful, quirky interior in the East Village. Brunch was delicious and service was outstanding.

Ladybird is very nicely decorated, but the food is quite lacking. The dumplings were good, but almost had an oddly indian flavor to it. I've had better vegan dumplings before. The Kimchi mac and cheese wasn't good. I don't recommend ordering. The kimchi flavor was too strong, so it just tasted like kimchi with noodles. Perhaps the other items on the menu were better. Service was okay, although it took a little long (even though it wasn't busy).

Hi Rachel, great question! Sunday-Thursday the kitchen accepts orders until 10:00 p.m. Fridays & Saturdays the kitchen accepts orders until 12:00 a.m.

Is there covered outdoor seating that works when it's raining?

The outdoor seating is in a covered shed, not sure if it's ok for rain though

What is the dress code if any?

No dress code when I've been!

Is the fondue still on the menu? (The Champagne and Artichoke... not chocolate)

    Unfortunately, not at the moment.

How far in advance can you make a reservation?

Apologies for the delayed response. Reservations can be made up to three weeks (21 days) in advance of your preferred date. The next available date goes live daily at 9:00 a.m. I hope you can join us soon!

Is there just one bao in the po boy bao order?

    Is the menu 100% Vegan?

    Yes.

What is the difference between patio, patio enclosed, sidewalk seat on Resy? Which has the least amount of people? No one is picking up the phones and I can't leave a message, left a message on the website as well.

Patio and patio enclosed is our enclosure outside on the street. The sidewalk is our tables on the sidewalk

Is this a nut allergy safe place?

The menu changes regularly, but Ladybird normally does not use any nut-containing ingredients. Please alert server of your nut allergy prior to ordering and Ladybird will accommodate when possible.

    How loud is it?

No it’s not loud. It’s very small and chill. You will hear people talking at their table and maybe faint music but I would not call it loud.

Ambiance: This place has a nice ambiance, definitely very "New York" -- dark (you can't see how dirty the floor is) and loud music (maybe too loud). We sat upstairs (we had a reservation) and of all the people on the top there was a party of 4 (us), a party of 8 (all dudes celebrating something) and the rest of the tables were on a DATE - which I thought was funny. Service: We were served by Ann-Marie who was so delightful. She was kind, super nice, and took the time to speak to us (which is basically how we figured out she wasn't a native New York City person). She gave us good food suggestions and we were very happy with our selection. Food: Here is what we ordered * Steak Frites: My two boys got the steak frites and I have to say the steak was awesome! I had a bite of each of theirs and they each ordered it differently (one Medium Rare/Medium and one Medium) and they both were prepared PERFECTLY. The fries were overflowing. * Caeser Salad with Salmon: My wife got the salad with Salmon (they only have a few salad options) and she enjoyed it. * Prawn and Crab Risotto: I got this and I have to say it was VERY bland. I wouldn't get this if you are looking for taste. I had to put salt and pepper on it to make it have any semblance of taste. Value/Price: I would say this is not over priced but it is not cheap either...bill is attached. I would recommend it to folks who are looking for a good place to either go out on a date or a family type meal.
