    Seychelles villa living room/dining area/kirxhen
    George M.

This is an amazing property. The Seychelles villa came with two well appointed bedrooms, living room/kitchen/dining area with a billion dollar view. I was awaken by the gentle swooshing of the Pacific surf, gently ebbing and flowing on the sandy beach, about 10 feet below the balcony and 20 feet from the waterline. Each bedroom and bathroom was clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. Check-in (across the street) I was staffed by knowledgeable and attentive staff. I want to permanently move-in....

So in love!! My partner and I were fortunate enough to stay here for a night. We're locals, but from time to time we need a little staycation. This villa was majestic. It was extraordinary to feel like we were in another place. It's quiet and private. They have a community area with stunning views of the beach. It's not called Sunset Villa for no reason. You absolutely must watch the sunset if you ever stay here. My partner and I laid out there with our glasses of wine taking it all in, remarkable. And the ocean sounds never get old. Our room, Lanai was incredible. It was spacious, immaculate and had a ton of amenities. You also get a fabulous view of the ocean from the bed. I was amazed. I will definitely be back!

We have stayed in Laguna Beach several times as we are in the process of remodeling our home. We stayed in various hotels and then we stayed in this one and fell in love. By far the best little hotel in Laguna. It's like an Airbnb except it is run by a nearby hotel. But it is fully stocked like a home and it feels very comfortable. The views from the suite we stayed in were amazing. I joked that I would like to sell our home and just rent from them long-term. The beds were also really nice! We will definitely recommend this place to our friends and if we have a need to stay in Laguna, we will only be staying here.

This is the best place I've ever stayed in Laguna Beach. We stayed several days in the 2 bedroom 2 bath Martinique. The view from the kitchen, living room and balcony was amazing. I didn't think it could be any better then we met our next door neighbor in the Seychelles villa. Basically same floor plan but the view looking to the north was even better than ours. So the big common deck area is also nice with a few seating areas and a fire pit. The location could not be better IMO - walk across the street to Ralph's for groceries. Orange Inn for breakfast or lunch. Steps to the beach. Secured parking. Walk a block or two to great restaurants and shops. The Cliff is my favorite for dinner and live music under the stars. Duet boutique and the Hat Lady are my favorite shops.

Loved everything about our stay. Julio was very helpful. Place was clean and spacious. The views were amazing.

Wow did we love this place!! It's situated right on the beach with amazing views! We stayed in Villa Antigua which was a two bedroom villa. It has a private garage with one space for each unit. The manager met us outside the garage door and allowed us in. Then you will be given your own remote. For those with mobility issues, this is not for you!!! The are many, many, many, steps to get to your unit. They did help us with our luggage but we ended up carrying as much as we could. I certainly got a workout that entire week traversing those steps.

Out of the mouths of babes ... when the 7-year-old walked in and looked around, he said "Wow - I could get used to this!" This is Laguna luxury, in the heart of downtown, just across from Ralph's ... but at night, all you'll hear will be the sound of waves outside the windows. The 3-bedroom unit is spectacular, with a kitchen loaded with appliances, top line cutlery, GE Pro dishwasher, and a spacious fridge. The view out to the water is gorgeous, and you climb down private stairs and let yourself out onto the beach, with a handy shower built into the rocks to wash the sand off later. Beds and linens are comfortable, and the bathrooms are plush too, with Gilbert & Soames toiletries. Shopping bags are provided for that run to Ralphs, so you can fit in with the eco-vibe in LB. A garage actually has space even for a decent size SUV (along with that of other guests), which is a big plus given LB's limited parking. Plenty of towels, bath robes, guides to the area ... everything worked and worked well. A topnotch facility.

If you're looking to stay at the perfect location, on the beach, in beautifully furnished surroundings, then you need to check out these Villas. We've stayed numerous times in several of the units, and each one looks like they are right out of Architectectual Digest. Seychelles, Martinique & Calypso Villas are our favorites. Tim is a gracious and accomadating Host and will make sure your stay is memorable.

Boom!!! The loungers are super comfortable and the ocean is right there waiting for ya.

They are so kind and made sure our stay was a pleasant one. The hotel itself is right on the sand. There's beautiful views all throughout the hotel and from the rooms. The location is perfect and close walking distance from many great dining spots. You want to walk whenever possible because parking is a bit stressful and walking allows you to enjoy all that Laguna Beach has to offer. One of my favorite things about the room was being able to open the windows and sliding door to the beautiful ocean breeze. It's the best! (We couldn't do that for a portion of our stay because a couple of the neighbors continued to smoke. Not the hotel's fault because it is non-smoking but we were bummed that we kept smelling it in our room.) The room was nice, quaint and clean in general. For the price per night, I would say it might be due for some up keep just from normal wear and tear, such as new pillows and things like that. It wasn't super fancy or anything but the location of it offered beautiful views! The hotel and staff are lovely overall. We would genuinely stay here again.

She explained all the hotel's amenities. In addition to the room charge, a $40 resort fee got us: 1. On-site parking; 2. Welcome sangrias; 3. Chocolate chip cookies each night; 4. A European styled breakfast each morning from 7am to 10am; 5. Wi-fi; 6. Beach chairs and umbrellas. Parking in Laguna Beach is a premium, so parking at the resort was great. The city of Laguna offers a free shuttle with a bus stop almost in front of the hotel. So we parked our car and took the shuttle all over town. The property is a well maintained, quant renovated 26 room Italian style resort. It's clean, charming, and has lots of character. It felt nice being at a small property and not at a large commercial hotel. We felt like we were back in Italy on vacation again! Just walking past the front of the hotel, you would not know that there is a luxury resort inside. They have a heated swimming pool (83 degrees), a sauna, and a secluded sun bathing lounge area and several other amenities. We opted for the heated wellness treatment which is a jacuzzi hot tub for two with mineral water. But they also offer single and couples messages and other message therapies. They have a quant internal courtyard for dining as well. We enjoyed a great European breakfast each day which was well prepared, fresh, healthy, and served by great hostesses. We especially liked the frittatas, fresh squeezed orange juice, hot coffee, and iced cold lemon water. The property is a historic landmark, so it doesn't offer handicap accessibility. So if you or someone in your group is in a wheel chair or uses a walker then this property won't work for you. Overall we really enjoyed staying here and would definitely go back again.

The service was excellent and can see that staff takes great care and attention to making sure everything is taken care of. We very much appreciated all the amenities this inn had to offer such as the welcome drink, evening cookies (delicious!), sauna, sunblock at the pool, towels, lovely breakfast.. all complimentary (breakfast with resort fee). We also appreciated the 10% military discount. We stayed in room 23 which was a standard queen bed with garden view and liked that spot because it felt central, private, and quiet. The room is on the smaller side but it was fine. It does not have a fridge but they provide an ice bucket. We ended up putting our bottled waters on top of the AC box and that kept it cool. Being that the inn is beautifully historic, there weren't many outlets inside the room. The bath robes were very plush. Both lamp shade knobs didn't seem to turn properly but we made it work somehow. Otherwise, we felt well taken care of throughout our stay and so glad we came. Aside from the inn, there is a walk to get to Victoria Beach. We walked south along Coast Highway to Victoria Place and found the underpass from there. We also took the free trolley outside of the hotel to get around town. It could be quite a wait for the trolley as we waited 30 mins. There is a QR code on the sign to track the trolley locations.

The front desk staff made multiple suggestions about things to do/see, places to eat and the like and each one led us to something very good. The room was nice - not large and fancy but entirely comfortable with a king size bed. The air conditioning is powerful and kept the room cool even during a series of very hot days. The hot water comes out promptly in the tub/shower and sink. Onsite parking is convenient and easy, and because it is enclosed the car doesn't heat up when left there during the day. It is an easy walk to many local attractions: Downtown shops, beaches and multiple good restaurants (Urth Cafe, a block and a half away, is particularly good for breakfast). The Laguna Arts Festival/Pageant of the Masters, is a bit under a mile away but, again, a relatively easy walk and worth it given the difficulty of finding parking in town. This will be our go-to hotel when we go back to Laguna Beach.

I researched every hotel I could find that was within walking distance to the beach in Laguna. I was not sure what to expect since reviews were a little inconsistent. I was very impressed by the ambiance of this hotel! It's gorgeous! It's warm, tropical and beachy. Very unlike a chain hotel. There were a lot of beautiful details that made the hotel unique. The bed was very comfortable too. Our room had direct access to the pool and that was a nice feature. Other reviews mention the high cost, I agree, it was costly with additional fees. However it's not an economy hotel. It's directly on the beach and I expected to pay a premium rate because of that. A welcome note and fruit were left in the room upon arrival. The staff were great, Sam checked us in and he was very sweet. Cons - Our room was not serviced for our 2 night stay. We removed our dnd sign from 11-3 and no one came. For $600 a night this is wild to me that our mats were still wet and no coffee refilled, I didn't see the cleaning staff once throughout our stay. - There is no true restaurant at this hotel. Bites and drinks but no substantial meals. Wasn't surprising to see takeout bags all throughout the halls. - As others stated $75 a night parking fee is wild but you can take your car out as much as you like since there is no Valet - zero amenities in the room -- you have to pay for toothbrush, no water bottles or even carafes of water. Overall the staff, outside of the lovely check in woman were essentially non existent. No cleaners, and even in the morning there were 2 men but they didn't greet or acknowledge anyone. Again for $300 it would be fine and expected but for $600 and on some days even $1K a night on the 4th of July this is wildly overpriced for what you get.

The Office woman made me feel like a fool when she rolled her eyes and said in a tone that I interpreted as exasperated, "There's a latch at the upper top corner of the gate." She was right. There was a latch but it was painted the same color as the gate and I didn't notice it. I only noticed the key hole. My bad. As I floated in the pool, I said to myself, "You are Bad Dog." When I reported the incident, I expected at least a professional investigation and clear communication. Unfortunately, neither was provided. The most frustrating part was the lack of communication from hotel management. I had to follow up seven separate times before receiving any meaningful response regarding my claim. Even then, the information I received was inconsistent and contradictory. One hotel associate told me that security cameras were being reviewed, while another later informed me that there are no cameras in the parking lot at all. This lack of coordination and transparency made an already stressful situation even worse. When the hotel finally responded, they pointed to a limited liability disclaimer allegedly printed on the parking placard. However, the placard I was given was already torn when I received it, and I was never asked to read, acknowledge, or sign anything related to parking liability. Using a damaged placard as evidence that guests were properly informed feels misleading and raises serious concerns about how these policies are communicated. While I understand that hotels may have policies limiting liability, I expected better security measures, more professional communication, and a genuine effort to assist a guest whose property was damaged on-site. Instead, I encountered delays, conflicting information, and a complete lack of accountability. Based on this experience, I would strongly encourage future guests to exercise caution when parking here and to carefully document the condition of their vehicle and any parking materials they receive. The hotel's handling of this situation has left me with little confidence in its commitment to guest service and customer care.
