Conviennent and tasty shave ice near Waikiki hotels. Went in the afternoon - no line and was able to order on the spot. The small is pretty big already - but it does melt pretty quick! It does take a bit for the shave ice as they look to make them one at a time. Flavors meshed together with the texture of the ice. Would def come back!
We got the House of the Sun with red bean, ice cream, and mochi toppings. This was such a tasty treat. My favorite was the blue shaved ice (blue hawaii) - it reminds me of cotton candy but less artificial/sweet tasting. The other two flavors, lime and guava, were tasty too. Loved the combination of flavors and toppings we got. Generous portion too.
I saw this cute little dessert store next to the steak house next door. The girls were the sweetest helping me out with the ones to pick and what they recommend. It's shaved ice and it's so good. I got the black milk tea with ice cream and the smallest one, as I was by myself. It's really delicious and a nice treat, almost like the best black milk tea I've ever had. I couldn't finish it, so it's definitely made for two people. I was able to catch the sunset and enjoy my food and treat. I definitely recommend this place, it's so good never had anything like it. The girls were awesome and the vibes are pretty chill. I'm in HNL once a month and will be back.
Came here for some shaved ice as it was just steps from our hotel, is said to be one of the best shaved ice spots on the island, and my brother comes here whenever he visits Waikiki and swears by it. So, since it was a hot day, what better way to cool down than enjoy a nice shaved ice dessert you can actually enjoy any time of the day or night. This place is not exactly easy to find as it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb, but once you do find it, you'd probably never expect it to look like a small parking garage's ticketing office...well, it probably was. Anyway, we went ahead and ordered one shaved ice with matcha flavor, with mochi balls, and extra scoops of azuki (red beans)....just because we really love our red beans! And, we also ordered a more colorful shaved ice with matcha, mango, and strawberry flavors and topped with azuki red beans too. Yup, there's a good reason why they say that this is one of the best spots for shaved ice.....the shaved ice is nice and fine and stacked tall in the small bowl, with your choice of flavors poured down the side till soaked into the ice. Wow.....a small spoon of flavored shaved ice, witha small scoop of red beans really hit the spot! Too bad this place is literally a hole-in-the-wall take away place only, so you either stand around and eat it (away from the main driveway) at the side, or wherever else you can find to sit and enjoy it as there are no chairs or tables here. I must admit that I am not a sweet tooth, and trying to cut down on sweet syrupy stuff, but this shaved ice was really good, and it reminded me of my childhood days....when my waistline and sugar intake wasn't a big concern :S
Lahaina Shave Ice is an unsuspecting location for some great shave ice. We walked to it and it wasn't too far from the restaurant we were at. It's located in this parking lot, so it was easy to miss. They offered different flavors, flavor combinations, and sizes. We got the Tiger's blood and Lava Flow both in keiki size. This didn't look like a keiki size because it was huge! Our family couldn't even finish it! We loved the condensed milk and soft ice. It definitely filled out shave ice craving. There is no seating outside so you have to find somewhere to sit. It sucked having to walk with our shave ice slowly melting. Thankfully we weren't far from a Starbucks and sat over there.
Kind of a weird location. It is located at the entrance of a parking garage so everyone was like watch out guys, be careful, move!, etc. We stopped in after having dinner at Ginza which was like two doors down. They have an extensive menu of flavors and the portions are huge. The young ladies working that evening were nice. Took a little while to get them and there's no seating area. You just have to stand on the side of the street and hope to not get run over. The texture of the ice was not as fine as other places. Reminded me more of a snow cone. The flavors were just ok although, the mochi was good. My brother loves it, but it just wasn't my favorite place for shave ice. I would most likely skip it next time even though I will be back for Ginza!
Saw this place on TikTok and knew I had to try it. It was pretty easy to locate, but can also be easily missed if you're not looking. Nestled at the entrance of a parking lot, Lahaina Shave Ice sits proudly and boasts a humble existence. Staff were super friendly and helping me pick out my flavors and even made some choices for me. I ended up getting the kids sized (keiki) shaved ice with lychee and passion fruit with ice cream and snow cap (pick the condensed coconut cream vs condensed milk). It was pretty good and hit the spot with the evening being so humid and warm. Would definitely return
Popular shaved ice spot located near a parking garage that's just take out, shorter hours and accepts cards too. My friends got tutti frutti with mochi and one in a melon with jelly. Nice to share, good quality shaved ice and condensed milk, mochi was goo and they give you a straw to also drink but I felt like the end of our shaved ice was very syrup-y. I think I remember some ice cream at the bottom but I felt like this shaved ice was more of your snow cone type with syrup on the bottom. Lots of different flavors and options to choose from. Sometimes there are lines and no where to really eat sit and eat, we had to walk the strip while eating and sharing. Parking is probably hard too unless you're staying at a hotel nearby, if not there's probably hotel parking.
Best shave ice in Waikiki and definitely one of my top favorites on Oahu! Lahaina Shave Ice is hidden in the parking lot of an apartment building, so it's easy to miss. But if you find yourself in the area, just walk down Beach Walk and you'll find it just south of the Ginza Bairin Tonkatsu restaurant. The first time I visited, I had just stuffed myself with dinner and was looking for some dessert. So I stopped by and ordered a keiki (small) size. First of all, there are only two sizes - keiki (small) and regular - both in the same bowl size but with different amounts of ice. The keiki size was basically a large and since then I have had no reason to ever order a regular here. You can choose 3 flavors or choose from their pre-set combos and not-so-secret "secret menu." The syrup is generously applied, evenly spread, and tastes more natural than artificial! The ice was finely shaved and soft. They also have a lot of topping options. I recommend their mochi (chewy and not overly sweet) and haupia snow cap (very unique - lighter than condensed milk with a hint of coconut) As a bonus, I have never had to wait in line and the ladies who work here are super nice. Basically Lahaina Shave Ice has it all! read more

First visit to a relatively new shave ice shop in Waikiki. Lahaina Shave Ice is situated on Beachwalk Dr. in the Pagoda Waikiki and a bit out of the way from the hustle and bustle from the area. There is some street parking (Beachwalk Dr is a one-way st.) and there is always street parking on Saratoga Rd. as well as the public lot on Kalia Rd. Nice, brightly painted interior complete with a child-sized table and chairs. There is a bench outside and a bench and a few tables inside. Ordered the Keiki-sized (a regular size is also available) Rainbow shave ice with Haupia snow cap and mochi. There are a number of additions offered on their menu.Shaved ice was a bit coarse but it was good...some prefer it more fine. Flavors were good. read more

My fiancé and I happened to find the best food/treats during the last couple days of our trip. We had Lahaina on the very last day and I've been sad about it ever since! If we stumbled on it sooner we would've been here everyday! We wasted our time on other shave ice spots because it was all the 'must visit when in Oahu' lists. But let me tell you! If you're in Waikiki, Lahaina is a MUST. It's is one of the best kept secrets, and much better than a lot of places on those lists. read more

I almost missed this place as it's located under a parking garage off the street! Out of all the shaved ice places I've seen, this one definitely seems like the most affordable! This was $5.75 and it was the smallest size offered (still a really great portion)! This blue flavor combination was awesome especially with the condensed milk drizzle! Staff was super friendly and accommodated to my requests of less syrups! The sno was melting in my mouth and they gave a straw to help finish the sno once it started melting! I absolutely love this place. We visited 3xs while we were in Hawaii. The flavors (pineapple, Hawaiian punch, & grape) were delish along with the soft ice. It melts in your mouth like cotton candy. Discovery of an awesome shave ice thru association. I Yelp'ed 'Lahaina Shave Ice', but actually thinking of (the awesome) Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice. After a hearty dinner at the Waikiki Yokocho, we headed out and walked our way to Lahaina Shave Ice. Lahaina Shave Ice, tucked-in by The Breakers Hotel, is a quaint shave ice place that offers proper shave ice right at the heart of Waikiki. I was so full from our previous meal that I just shared with what my wife had, banana, 'red', and 'blue'. (pardon my amnesia). Coupled with condensed milk, the harmonious flavor is quite refreshing. And don't forget the attention to detail how the ice is constricted, very well done. You know what's best about Lahaina Shave Ice? Keiki. LSI loves keiki. So much so they have arranged some keiki chairs and tables so our little rugrats can also enjoy their shave ice. That very well is a big plus to me. So if you are craving for a proper shave ice around Waikiki, I invite you to Lahaina Shave Ice. read more
My friends and I were craving a tasty treat after checking into our hotel, and this spot was right around the corner! It's a cute little shop with a massive menu, and the servings are just as massive. I originally was gonna order my own Keiki sized shave ice, but I immediately saw how big they were and decided to share with a friend. We got the Starburst flavor, and it was so so delicious! It was the perfect portion for two, and it could easily feed more. I definitely recommend this spot for shave ice if you're ever in Waikiki! read more

This place is amazing. The best shaved ice I've had so far. It's housed in the entrance to an apartment complex parking garage which is odd. It's a small service window, so no seating, you have to walk just a little to find some seating along the street. But wow is it worth it. They only have a regular and kids size. The kids is plenty for an adult. The regular can be easily shared by two people. It's super soft, fluffy ice. We added a scoop of ice cream, condensed milk and the homemade mochi. So delicious! And to my surprise, not overly sweet with all the add-ons. The two workers provided super fast service. I hope to make it back here before the end of my vacation. read more
Wow their portions here are HUGE!! My boyfriend and I got their normal sized and I audibly gasped when they delivered it to us. We actually saw them shaving it in the back and I had thought that that portion was going to be for several people, not just us. We got their Blue Hawaii and Lychee w/ Li Hing powder as a topping. Great shave ice that has so many flavours and is gigantic. The smaller size is pretty big and you can share it with others and their large is just huge. I got a small with Lilikoi, lychee, and Ube milk tea. The lychee and Ube milk tea were really good flavours but I think Waiola's shave ice had a better Lilikoi flavour. read more

Best shave ice I've ever had. It is in the heart of the touristy district of Waikiki, but definitely worth the visit. Absolutely huge shave ice with a multitude of flavor selections and add ons. The owner is such a sweet lady and recognized us each time we came. (Every day for a week!) Great service, great potions, great quality. You will not be let down. Highly recommended! read more

The little one wanted a last shaved ice so we stopped here on the way back to our condo. They have about 20 different flavors. They shave the ice after the order is placed so there is a bit of a wait if there is a line (which there almost alway is). A small size was $5.50 and of course it melts fast so she only ate about a half before the whole thing became untenable. Good shaved ice based on the recommendation of a 4 year old! read more

Loved their ramune and lilikoi flavors with a snowcap. This was one of their smaller sizes and still came with a heaping amount of shaved ice. Staff was super friendly as well. It is a little harder to find parking, so we parked at the International Market and made the walk over. Definitely worth it! read more

Amazing little hole in the wall in a most unexpected spot. Close enough to walk from the major hotels in Waikiki without the Waikiki prices! The ladies that were running it were super nice and I couldn't be happier I found it. If you want to get away from the touristy spots. Come here! The ice is sky high! read more

We walked by this place on our way to dinner and decided to stop before they closed at 8. So glad we did. I got tigers blood (the haupia cap was sooo good!) and my daughter got the strawberry and mango. We added ice cream and boba. 6 of us shared 2 (they are very large). This is SOOOO much better than Island Vintage Shave Ice a few blocks away (and better prices!). The ice is soft and didn't melt super fast. read more
We stayed in Honolulu for vacation, this shaved ice place was within walking distance. So each evening on our walk back to our condo, we stopped for shaved ice. Our kids loved it. It was a nice dessert to enjoy on our walk. My kids tried quite a few different flavors during our week there. Not the best shaved ice in honolulu but I love all the options - you can have up to three on your order. We got the ube, pog, and matcha, all original flavors because I think the others would just be generic flavored sugar. Also added the haupia cap on top. We walked to the nearby beach and enjoyed the shaved ice at the stone tables. It melted a lot by the time we got to the beach but thankfully they included straws to easily drink it. The small size definitely sufficed for our craving and didn't break the bank at $9 including tip!! read more

HUGE! These shave ice are HUGE is all I can say! The regular size is enough to satisfy 3-4 people haha, but it's good for me and my boyfriend to quickly enjoy. So far, we've tried the One in a Melon (melona/pina colada with condensed milk) and Reggaeton (I love Zumba so I love this name!). Can't wait to try more flavors! read more

This is a hole in the wall establishment. I had the boba flavor with home made mochi. They have a bunch of different flavors so you can customize it in many ways. This is a must try if you're in Hawaii. I didn't think I would like it but it definitely changed my mind. I really enjoyed the melted ice cream at the bottom. read more

Today we decided to try this shaved ice I always see it but never really care to stop by because I already had my favorite shaved ice always set in mind. today we decided to come by because it was close to the zoo and it was amazing. The girls were very nice and it wasn't even overpriced. The service was fast about 3 large shave ice in less than 3 'minutes there was no wait and we came in at about 1:00pm the street was pretty slow as it's behind the yard house/hotel but you can't miss it ! I obviously got the condensed milk on top of mine, which makes it delicious, but even the flavoring they used was pretty strong so you didn't get any unflavored ice and when you went to drink it, it no water down stuff! The parking like most in Waikiki is awful so if you're walking around do valet at the hotel right next door or you can walk from Halekoa, Hilton Hawaiian which are both close by ! Definitely give this a try I will be coming back when we're on this side of town ! read more

This is a cute hidden gem! Tucked away, but a big sign off the street to lure you in. Walking in, the store has super cute decor and employees are very friendly and helpful. I ordered the regular shave ice and chose lychee, coconut, and mango as my three flavors. Can choose up to three. Added homemade mochi for fifty cents, they have many add ons to choose from. They're open again!!! As part of their promotion I got a free shaved ice and paid $1 for the toppings. The staff are SO NICE I can't emphasize enough how kind they are!! This place is extremely good. The shaved ice is chopped so finely, it's basically like ice cream. It's super "creamy" since it melts in your mouth. I really enjoyed the Thai tea and milk tea since it really matches those flavors. I didn't like the mango so much. Maybe it got mixed in with the tea, but it didn't taste like mango. This place is located in a small spot behind a building so it's easy to miss. Parking is hard since it is in Waikiki. read more
