    Beautiful sea arch
    Leanne D.

I've been coming to Oahu for many many years and recently found out about this scenic stop so I had to stop by and see it while on the island. It is just a quick stop but well worth the trip! There is limited parking since it is located in a residential area, just be patient and wait it out. An amazing sea arch !

Such beautiful views ! Oahu was so relaxing & not touristy like Waikīkī. A must see on the island.

Cute little spot off the beaten path. It's at the very end of a quiet little neighborhood so please remember to be respectful when parking and checking it out. There are limited spots to park. You can walk out onto the rocks but be careful in the winter with the big waves and high winds.

Went at sunrise and it was the best!!! Very private area! Not a lot of park but it's worth the drive and so peaceful

The location offers stunning views that are absolutely worth seeing, but there are a few things to keep in mind. Parking is very limited, so plan accordingly. The grounds are quite bumpy, so wearing sturdy walking shoes or paying close attention to where you're stepping is a must. Despite these minor inconveniences, it's a lovely spot for a quick visit to soak in the gorgeous scenery.

Awesome place for breathtaking views!! Wear tennis shoes or shoes that can grip and won't slip because it's Rocky area There is a small area of grass where you can sit but for the most part it's a come and view kinds of a place .... Totally worth it !!

My better half had plans to meet up with our amazing friend Nadine who lives in Hawaii. Nadine had texted her a picture of this location. We had been traveling around the island & made a bathroom pit stop right prior to here. Suddenly Nadine drove through a residential area to this dead end & found parking as she literally lucked out. We made it! One doesn't really need to hike to it. It's basically a scenic point where you see a flat horizontal rock formation with a hole in it. You see the waves coming through and enjoy nature at its finest. I walked to the rock that displayed information about it. Be sure to do that also & be careful. It tells a legendary story... Be respectful of this area. It's a quick stop & unlike anything we have ever seen before. You will be glad you did. Thank you Nadine!

    Waves crashing at Laie Point

It's a little sobering when you're driving along the North Shore of Oahu and make the turn off Kamehameha Hwy through this residential neighborhood, then all of a sudden, you are at the end of the world. You come to this little finger of land jutting out into the Pacific Ocean and there is nothing but open water between you and North America, 5000 miles to the East. The only other features are a couple of rocky islands with waves crashing on them and some seabirds riding the winds. We came on an overcast day with medium winds and the ocean waves were kicking up some big swells that crashed on the rocks, making for some great scenic pictures. Kukuihoolua Island just off the shore is a cool looking site with a hole cut through the middle forming a rock bridge. When you hike out to the point, be very careful because there are no paved trails and the volcanic rock is pockmarked and pitted from wind, rain, sand and ocean erosion. It is very easy to trip and wrench an ankle if you're not looking or worse if you land a kneecap on a rock. There is limited space here to park 4-5 cars and not a lot of people come here, but if it's full, just wait a while and cars will rotate out.

We visited at what turned out to be the windiest hour of the windiest day of the whole two weeks we were on the North Shore. It was a Wednesday. We were half way to Papa Ole's for some of their wonderful roast pork with gravy when I had a little epiphany. Why don't we stop on the way to lunch intead of waiting until after? We probably won't feel like walking after we eat a whole plate lunch. So that's what we did. We parked and walked way out on the point to where the fishermen were. Clearly the fishing was good. We saw a guy walk by with a whole bunch of fish on a stringer. It was so windy we couldn't hear each other, which actually enhanced the whole experience. When you're surrounded by this much natural beauty, who needs to talk? We walked out to the point in silence, but I want you to understand the wind was wicked loud. It whipped the incoming waves into the rocks, sending up sprays of white water. Before we came we wanted to know what's up here at Laie Point, so we read the about the legend of "Laniloa, The Mo'o." Then when we got here, whatayaknow, there's a wonderful little marker with the exact same story engraved right into it. In a way I kinda wish I had waited. It would've been more dramatic to discover the legend right on the spot. It is indeed wonderful though, because some people will visit without having previously known of the legend. And without question one's visit is enhanced immeasuably by a familiarity with the story. OK, well, I know it's wacky, but when I decided to write a review of this place, I knew it had to be the kind of a review that had a whole bunch of Ws in it. I think it went well. Great spot to have a lil picnic and just got a short stroll. The views are stunning. Says no parking around here but everyone does it and just make sure to keep an eye on your car! Overall views are to die for

Just a stunning view. It's a blessed place. You gasp when you get there while you're there you can go to the Mormon Temple after which is 1 minute away.

Always A Stopping 'Point' (pun intended), When Taking My Friends Around The Island. Situated In The Little Town Of La'ie In North Shore, A Perfect Lookout Area! Not Necessarily A Spot To Swim. But, I Have Seen Local Kids Jump Off The Cliffs On The Right Side As You Enter The Park. I Usually Write A Novel For A Review. Just Know My Review And This Place Is Short, Sweet & Simple.

We stayed at Turtle Bay, so of course thought of the film Forgetting Sarah Marshall. When someone pointed out the two characters jumped from Laie Point, we thought, why not check it out. The four of us got here on Monday, March 4th around 1:15pm. Parking wasn't too hard. We just parked on the side of the road. Just make sure to read the signs as I think you can only park on the side against the point. It was super windy that day, so we decided not to jump. But we did see a few girls doing it and it seemed pretty safe. They had no problem getting back up. I believe you have to climb up a crevice in the rocks, so I decided to skip it. I could see myself having a hard time getting back up to our starting point. The area itself is beautiful. Great for photo ops. Pretty views all around. It wasn't too busy the day we were here, so we were able to get pix without other people in them. Sounds selfish, I know. But I love capturing places without people in my pictures. Such a pretty spot. Worth a stop for the views. And of course a jump if you dare.

If you go I highly recommend being there when it opens and the canoe show. The canoe show will give you a quick introduction to the different cultures and help you chose which ones you want to explore further. Each area discusses history and has interactive experiences like games (lots of fun), some food tasting (and purchases), history and replicas. When you arrive there are lots of open picnic tables and some really delicious food vendors and trucks. I liked the savory meat pies from the Kiwi truck. Save any shopping for after the luau as your waiter may present you with a 10% off coupon after dinner. We did the "pick your oyster" for a pearl at the pearl factory and it's a fun experience for under $20. Any jewelry you buy will be the costly part so consider waiting till you get back home to have it set at your hometown jeweler. We booked the full package which included a private guide which was a huge advantage. Your guide will descend from some sort of Polynesian culture and heritage and they can enhance your visit sharing their own experiences. There were also bonus amenities to this package which included a check in lounge with refreshing spa water and snacks, priority seating at all events and the first to be called up for the Luau dinner. The Breath of Life show is a little hokey, especially if you have seen many a Cirque Du Soleil show, but the fire dancers at the end made it worth the wait. We added the shuttle pick up to our package which was very convenient; both for parking and also how tired we were after a full day. Be sure to bring sunscreen, refillable water bottle, hat, sunglasses and a fan because most of the experiences are outdoors. Some of the mini theaters have ceiling fans but no air conditioning. There are some misting stations throughout the park, plenty of water filing stations and bathrooms where you can douse your head with water to help cool off (like I did 3 times) on hot and humid days. Our pass was good to return for the next three days but we didn't have time. It would have been worth it to experience the other villages but we wanted to spend our trip doing other stuff.

We booked online so we got a discount, the total being $136.32 per person. Even though we didn't visit the different island villages, we still got access to the Hukilau Markerplace. It's a bunch of vendor businesses outside the entrance so you can still buy food and chill at the tables. Everyone there was really friendly and helped us find the entrance for the luau (not a lot of signage so it was kind of confusing). They took pictures of us before we entered so that we can buy printed copies afterwards. I just asked one of the workers there to take it on my phone instead lol (the photographers aren't allowed to do that but the staff can). We had private table and a view of the luau show. When seated, everyone is served a Pina colada smoothie in a real pineapple! There's also unlimited soda (no alcohol is served at PCC). Our server was super friendly and accommodating. They call people by tables when lining up for the buffet. There's two buffet stations on each side. Overall, I thought the food was just okay. A lot of items were bland like the noodles and poke. My favorite items were the firecracker shrimps, Hulu Hulu chicken, and creme brûlée. The roasted pork had no flavor so you gotta mix it with the special sauce they serve lol. I was impressed at the dessert bar. They had ice cream, creme brûlée, cake, fruits, etc. Afterwards, we went to the theater for the Ha: Breathe of Life show. It's outside close the the Hukilau Marketplace on the right side. They don't have bathrooms in there so make sure you go beforehand. They do allow re-entries but you gotta show tickets so have it on your phone if you only have one designated person holding all the tickets. The show was spectacular! I've seen it both times and I still think it is one of the best live performances out there. They do crazy fire stunts and lots of singing and dancing. They offer plenty of free parking. It's like an hour drive from Waikiki so very far for majority of their guests.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I hope you all get a driver self-nicknamed "Short"…read more We booked a Pearl Harbor tour which included a visit to the Dole pineapple gift shop as well as a drive around the island (with a few stops and drivebys). Our driver nicknamed "Short" was a great driver as well as a native who knew the island and all it's customs, history, and it's little fun facts and quirks. Short is also a life philosopher. I won't spoil it should you get him, but he has a good way of keeping things light hearted but really makes you think about why the world and it's constant feuding is the way it is. The trip started sharply at 8AM (hotel lobby pickup) and after picking up a few passengers at different hotels, we were off. The Pearl Harbor tour and the ride over was excellent. While I knew a lot of what he was narrating, he goes into the back story of why Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. Much different than what you probably learned in history class. Nothing excuses the Japanese military government for doing what they did and he's not an apologist for them, but he laid out the facts leading up to it. Very informative. The movie at the Pearl Harbor center was well done by the Park Service, but we didn't have much time to look around much after that as we needed to keep to schedule. A few passengers were a full 30 minutes late, but he didn't give them the riot act but instead gently and jokingly chided them a little. It was pretty funny! The Dole pineapple gift shop stop was all about buying stuff, so if you've done it you'll be bored. But for first timers, get the Pineapple Freeze at the back of the store. We stopped by three parks and beaches which included the North Shore, a park whose name I forget, and Hanauma Bay. We highly recommend PPF. Just remember as part of a tour, be courteous and be on time. Write it down, put it in your phone, whatever it takes to keep everyone on the tour on track!
