My husband and I ate dinner at Lainey Wilson's Bell Bottoms Up last night. We both enjoyed our meals very much. I had shrimp and grits and my husband had Cajun pasta. Our server, Marley, was awesome! She was attentive, personal, efficient and caring. She made us feel so welcome! I give her 5 out of 5!! Before dinner we enjoyed the Lainey Wilson Karaoke takeover for two hours. Lainey's place had great food!! The Cajun twist on the menu items is plum delectable, and everything was cooked beautifully. Very generous portions! Our server was a very sweet young lady named Darren, she was very attentive. The atmosphere was very fun, the live music was excellent! Zach Scott, he's got new fans in us, and his friend Austin was great too! The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were ginormous; I ordered that and the dirty fries, thinking they'd be little appetizers. I couldn't finish them! The seasoning on the shrimp was so yummy, and the Cajun cocktail sauce was a perfect pairing. The dirty fries had this amazing sauce and mixed with the seasoning, onions, cheese, etc. I almost couldn't stop eating it. Savory goodness! My son's steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, topped with a delicious dollop of Cajun butter. My (teenage)daughter had the Cajun pasta, which was creamy and scrumptiously seasoned. She made sure we all tried a bite, after she composed herself- this dish brought her to tears! My mother had an off menu item, a summer fruit salad dish with prosciutto, she said she could eat that every day! My hubby had the pulled pork grilled cheese, it was a juicy, meaty entree and the candied jalapeños added a delightful flavor-twist that really leveled it up. (For it being labeled as a grilled cheese, it could use a little more cheese.) The sweet potato waffle fries were crispy and delicious. We'll definitely be back, can't wait to plan our next trip to Nash! read more

After having a drink at the Butterfly Bar, we walked along Broadway to see the neon lights at night and stopped in at Lainey Wilson's Bell Bottoms Up. It was just after 10pm and unfortunately they were closing up, but the bartender made us a round of drinks and said that we could take them downstairs to Bayou Keys to see the duelling pianos. Probably one of our favorite bars to visit here. The upstairs patio is such a great hang. Great music and great service. Finally ate some food; and the smash burger was delicious!! The live music was great and the food was tasty. If shrimp and grits is ever on the menu I have to order it. I love Lainey's! It's the cutest decorated bar in Nashvilles downtown! It had three levels with a rooftop, restaurant level, and then a more sophisticated middle level. I can't speak about the food as we only went to the rooftop and had a few drinks. I loved the decor, especially the bell-bottom chandeliers. The bartender was super nice and the drinks were made perfectly. The rooftop has lots of space and covered seating. The band was excellent she played some of Lainey's songs & did really good with Dolly and Gretchen Wilson songs and the guy sang save a horse ride a cowboy there was lots of people up dancing and enjoying the atmosphere. read more

Stopped in for dinner at 4:50 on a Saturday. Place was packed, but not terribly. In my opinion not being on Broadway probably helps with that. There was no wait, and was sat immediately. There were only a couple empty tables. We were given a table directly in front of the stage, front row. There was a live band, but it actually wasn't crazy loud like the other restaurants/bars with live bands. You can actually talk at almost a normal level and hear each other. Our server greeted us within a couple minutes, and very friendly. I got the Bang Bang Shrimp for my dinner since I wanted something light. They were great, underneath was dill pickle slaw. I'm not a big fan of pickles, and very picky about slaw. It was great! I was surprised I liked it. My wife got the Cajun Shrimp, she enjoyed it. And not too spicy at all (she doesn't like very spicy food). The drinks we ordered were good as well. Overall a great experience! read more

He did forget to grab my wife's food and when we asked he brought it out and it was cold from where it had been sitting. They offered to make her another meal or what she had and she got another meal due to the time it took to cook what she got. She got the seafood boil the first meal and the Cajun pasta as a replacement. They removed what she originally ordered and also didn't charge us for the other meal she got. I got the Cajun chicken club and fries and it was very good. My sons got the cheeseburgers and they were good as well! The ambiance I was casual and welcoming for a family during the earlier hours. Such a great hangout. The vibe is nice when you walk in. They have 4 levels total and when we went the street level and rooftop had live music. The second floor is another bar which I think is only open on the evening the same as the basement. Great atmosphere. The service is excellent. From the moment we walked in the southern hospitality was evident. Every person that assisted us was friendly and really nice. To top it off the food was amazing! I ordered the ribeye and I think it's the best I've had. Perfectly seasoned and cooked medium rare just the way I asked. I have my daughter a taste and she ate about half of that 20oz ribeye and she's only 8yrs old. A lot of great places on the main drag and this place off the side is a gem you don't want to miss. I really liked this bar! Unlike many of the others, I felt their food was a little more upscale. It definitely has the New Orleans flavor. I enjoyed the smash burger but the fries were honestly my favorite part- very crispy and seasoned really nicely. I did get a side of garlic aioli for them, which I recommend, but I wasn't aware of the $1 upcharge. My friends ordered the burrata bruschetta and the wings to share. They said both were very good and they loved the wing sauce. For drinks, I ordered the crescent colada which had a bit of a sweet and sour profile, but very good. At lunch time there is no live music, but we returned in the evening to hear some. I admit I only came here bc I love Lainey and also wanted to see "the old FGL House" I had taken my boys to when they were little and we visited Nashville. I can't comment on the live music or the "bar vibe" bc we went kinda early and it was pretty empty (right after the city had sorta reopened after the crazy ice storm). The decor and Lainey touches were fab. The food...shockingly, impressively delicious. Even the bartender admitted to us she had never had such yummy food at any other downtown bar she's worked at. We went to Nashville this past weekend for my bachelorette trip. While on the strip, we were being followed by 3-4 men on foot & 1 in their vehicle. We went into here for help after being escorted from another security member from Bootleggars (he was amazing). He told us this would be a safer place for us to wait for our uber. It wasn't until we got inside that we saw the group of men following us again - waiting outside Lainey's with the guy in the car pulled up around the corner. We went to sit in a booth in the back and a waitress came up to us (the waitress was very sweet). We explained the situation to her and she said she would contact her manager and the security. After about 30 minutes, the same waitress came up to us and said that she had told her manager, and the managers response was "it's not my or our security's problem". I ended up going to their bathroom on the lower level and called the police and within 3-4 minutes 5 or 6 cops showed up at the front. Ironic that once the cops showed up, security seemed oh so willing to help! The cops escorted us to our uber down the street and waited with us until we were out of sight. I say all that to say this....if you are in danger or feel as though you are in danger, do NOT come here for help. Bootleggars security is amazing and extremely helpful. read more

We ended up having to ask where our friends food was at because two of us got our food but our friend did not.....finally when her food was brought out to her the fries where cold.... like make that make sense...... my friend ended up getting a fresh order of fries but then having to catch our servers attention for some ketchup was another battle in itself.... Came here with friends specifically for Bayou Pianos which is a dueling piano bar which plays crowd recommendations. I loved the idea of it so I had to visit. The service was great (S/O to Jarrod, bartender) for the INCREDIBLE service. There was a fun selection of specialty cocktails and everything was so yummy. The ambience and vibe was great on every floor, the decor was amazing. The service was so great from the hostess and waitresses. Let's face it Broadway and the surrounding side streets are just going to be completely filled with celebrity named Honky Tonks. Not a whole lot can set them apart from one another except for me. It's more about the atmosphere and layout if I'm going to spend time in one of these joints. Laineys has a great rooftop. It's just off Broadway so it's less crazy and I feel like you get some better breezes on the roof. As the name suggests, Lainey has lots of pairs of her bellbottoms framed and on display and the decor is overall pretty nice and well thought out. There's live entertainment all the time on the first and third floor, but a bit of a quieter vibe in an enclosed space on the second. Good service here. Pricey drinks as expected. $10 for beer $15 and up for cocktails. The hula hot sauce that Laney sells in a gift shop and is available with waffle fries is incredible. I love it so much. read more

The fries on the first day were a bit too salty, but definitely was perfect on day two. CMA fest weekend was nuts, but we were able to find seating both days, upstairs, at the bar that overlooks the pedestrian bridge. We never got the bartenders names, but there was a super fun, bubbly, energetic gal and a couple of fun dudes on 6/5 and 6/6 from 4pm-7:30pm. They were great! Give them raises!
