Honeymoon Getaway... 3/24/2026 thru 3/26/2026 I planned the honeymoon getaway about a month ago. When I started talking over the phone with the staff they were always very friendly. One of the things that was really impressive to me was when my sister wanted access to the room just before we arrived to decorate the room as a surprise to my newlywed wife. The Lake Arrowhead Resort was very accommodating for that to happen. Just so you know everything worked out perfectly in regards to that. The place is a bit dated.. As you walk around and see things that need to be repaired..To be honest, these things did not change the outcome of our stay.. Our suite was super comfortable and quiet.. The bed was comfortable and we slept well.. We had a great view of the lake from our balcony to enjoy coffee in the morning and the wine in the evening. The bathroom is spacious and away from the spa tub and the shower.. The only thing about the room that was the very limited channels available on tv and some channels had poor picture quality.. We were suprised with a bottle of wine and chocolate dipped fruit and a very nice letter to enjoy our honeymoon.. I am from the Mountain area so a bit of rustic charm was a good thing. I would stay here again as when it's all said and done.. The room was clean and the staff were very friendly.. Thank You Lake Arrowhead Resort For Making This Honeymoon Romantic and Peaceful...

Good food, beautiful view with outdoor seating. What can be better?

I come here at least once a year to get my taxes done. Although doing taxes is stressful, this hotel certainly removes all the stress. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean. The food from the onsite restaurant, Bin 189 is always excellent. What else can I say? I travel frequently and live in many hotels. This is my favorite hotel in the United States. The environment is just beautiful, peaceful, calming.

4/5 We arrived early from Vegas for Mother's Day weekend and tried to check in early. The front desk receptionist was super friendly and accommodating. Since our room wasn't ready yet, they gave us beach access cards while we waited, which we really appreciated. We ended up walking to the village for breakfast (about a 6 minute walk) and did the boat tour while waiting. Around 12 PM, we received both a text and a call that our room was ready. The room was clean and the lake view was absolutely beautiful. The kids loved the pool, and we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. We also went down to the lake to catch the sunset, which was definitely a highlight even though the water was freezing. They had movie night and game room as well. The only downside was the TV in our room. It was pretty outdated, static at times, and we wished it had Netflix or streaming options where we could log into our own accounts. The hot tub could've also been cleaner. Overall, it was still such a relaxing getaway and a perfect Mother's Day trip for the family. We'll definitely be back again!

Stayed one night and really enjoyed it. If you're after excellent spa amenities, a solid gym, and lovely lake views with easy access to the village shops, this place delivers. We came as a couple but it's definitely family friendly -- expect lots of kids and some noise, especially near the movie and game rooms. We had a lake‑view king room: comfortable bed, good size, and a pool‑plus‑lake view. The rooms felt a bit dated but were clean and cozy. The location is fantastic -- an easy stroll to the village and the hotel's private beach access, which was a nice perk. Service and setting were great, and the food was good -- not standout, but perfectly pleasant for the visit. The hotel's family amenities (movie room, game room) are perfect for kids, though if you prefer quiet I'd request a room away from those spaces. Overall, a pleasant stay and I'd come back. Great for families and couples who don't mind a lively atmosphere.

The property and spa amenities are beautiful -- great showers, peaceful setting. I stayed while attending a wedding. I even considered becoming a member. Unfortunately, my interaction with the front desk and security ruined the experience. After a morning sound bath in the spa, my room key didn't work. At front desk, I was asked for my name and ID, which I didn't have on me since I'd just come from the spa. I was made to wait for security. During this time, the front desk staff made comments suggesting uncertainty about my identity, which felt accusatory rather than procedural. When head security came to my room, he was aggressive, snatched my ID from my hand despite me holding it up. Very unnecessary and disrespectful. To test whether this was standard procedure, my sister-in-law...who is white, stayed in a different room, and has a different last name -- experienced the same key issue the following day. She was issued a replacement key immediately, without being asked for ID or involving security. This strongly suggests bias in how policies are enforced. The location is lovely, but the lack of professionalism and equitable treatment makes it hard to recommend.

The review is purely for the wedding venue tour we had here, as well as the food at the restaurant that we got to try. Can't comment on the rooms since we didn't stay here but the lobby and public spaces are all very well kept in my opinion, and very clean. Our wedding tour was very thoughtful and communication was prompt throughout. Shout out to Kim Andersen who walked us through our wedding proposal and gave one of the best property tours we've gotten after we've been comparing between 5-10 different venues all across LA and San Bernardino. The tour was very thorough, ending with a clear proposal that will be very helpful as we make our final decision on the venue. She even kindly accommodated our request to get a tasting in advance, which they didn't have to allow but they graciously did. For any engaged couples looking to do a wedding, I fully trust the service and level of detail this place offers as far as a ceremony and reception goes, and the venue space has a nice balance of indoor/outdoor vibes. The venue is highly competitive with what they offer in their packages and it's re-assuring that they seemed very buttoned up in making sure all coordination is on point for your wedding day. For the food itself, chicken was slightly tough but could just be a one-off. I thoroughly enjoyed my salmon plate and I think it's re-assuring testament that they can do a good job with the food by allowing for a tasting option in advance and allow you start thinking through what menu items you prefer.

an absolute dump~ dont go--staff even says owners don't want to spend a dime on it--my guess is that its being torn down. trashed rooms, trashed hallways, no signals to any of televisions in rooms. carpet has holes and tears, mattress was like plywood, lampshades full of dirt, furniture old and nasty--horrible place--all this and more for $600.00 +--also exterior of building is peeling and full of dry rot--an embarrassment! and we had what they called the "summit" or "presidential" suite...a total joke. some staff was nice especially matthew in restaurant.

We had a Lakeview room so a little pricey I was very disappointed as soon as we arrived the people who checked us in in the front desk basically just said enjoy your stay, didn't let us know about any of the amenities any helpful hints nothing about anything as it was our first time. So we didn't know we could enjoy the steam room or that part of the spa. Me and my husband got couple massages it was mediocre at best $464 for a couples massage no add-ons nothing that was the price for a basic massage which we thought was wild cause it wasn't even a full hour and they didn't even get started right away. Our appointment was for 12. We got started around 1215 by one we were done. The curtains in our room were ripped looked very old I will say bed was comfy and pillows too . Carpet looked old one start for the the food we actually enjoyed the restaurant a lil overpriced but not bad

From the moment we checked in, the customer service was so warm and welcoming. The hotel gave me Home Alone vibes for some reason, and the decorations here are amazing. They even have visits from Santa and elves for the kids, along with a scavenger hunt and prizes. The restaurant is amazing, the coffee spot inside the hotel is also very good, and I absolutely loved our room. We will most definitely be returning next year for the holidays.

When we drove up, I was disappointed. The exterior needs a lot of TLC. The resort is large and very dated. In our room, both sliding doors were loud and squealed. Our carpet was stained as well. Wall paper was peeling in areas. On the other hand, the location couldn't be better. Walking distance to the village and grocery store. In the evening they have a fire pit on the beach and we roasted marshmallows. My kids liked the game room and evening movies. Access to the dock to fish was also very nice. The resort had chairs for guests on both the beach and dock which I appreciated. The pool area was nice and you could purchase food and drinks poolside. Downside, only one spa was working. I was able to talk to other guests at the pool one day. The lady I spoke with said she grew up coming to this resort. Being that Lake Arrowhead is a HOA private lake, having access to a beach area and a fishing dock is uncommon for the area, and a great amenity in staying here. The reason I give this resort a 4 star instead of a lower rating is because of the staff. The front desk was very helpful in many instances and gave us great ideas of things to do in the area. They were always greeting us with a smile. If you can get past the dated decor, this resort is a nice spot near the village.

Friendly and accommodating staff, beautiful scenery, and a relaxing stay. I saw a lot of one star reviews on here and I'm sure some may be warranted, but after seeing some of the people staying at the resort and how they acted... I wouldn't take the one star reviews too seriously.

I'll start with the positives. Everything was clean--which, let's be honest, is the bare minimum--but still, points for delivering. The front desk staff were nice, if a bit on the robotic side. Pleasant, just not exactly warm and fuzzy. We did skip turn-down service, but when we asked for one fresh towel and a washcloth, the response felt... less than enthusiastic. Maybe it was an off moment, but it didn't leave the best impression. We also ate at the restaurant--food was good, not amazing, but definitely enjoyable. The real highlight there was the staff and the view. Both were great, and you really can't beat that lakeside setting. Speaking of which, our room had a beautiful lake view (apparently we got lucky), though looking straight down was... an interesting choice. (See photo.) It seems like a small fix could make that area look a lot better without much effort. And that's where the positives wrap up. The thermostat in the room wasn't working properly--it was 54 degrees in the morning. We mentioned it to staff on the way out, but not exactly the wake-up experience we were going for. The bedding also needs serious attention. The pillows were lumpy, the sheets and blankets felt worn out, and the extra blanket in the closet had the texture of a Brillo pad. Not ideal when you're trying to get comfortable. At around 2 PM, I went looking for coffee and found the coffee spot closed--which is surprising, especially since there's no complimentary coffee offered. I ended up ordering one from the bar for $10.78, and at that price, I expected something a little better. Finally, at checkout, I noticed we had been charged for the restaurant three times when we only dined there twice. It was corrected, but being told they're "usually very diligent about that" wasn't exactly reassuring in the moment. Overall, it feels like the hotel has a lot of potential, but there are several small details that add up. A little more attention to comfort, service, and consistency would go a long way in making the experience match the setting.

This survey is directed towards housekeeping and quality control operations. I stayed in room 235 on 08/01 to 08/03. Upon checking into my room late that evening, I noticed that the bathtub drain was not working properly. Since it was close to 11 PM, I decided to wait until the next day to report it. Around 7 AM the following day I reported the issue to Michelle at the front desk. She was very polite and sent a technician to my room within 30 minutes. The technician advise me that it was too early in the morning to snake the drain and that he will be back later on to complete the service order. I thanked him and gave him approval to enter my room since I was going to be away from the room during the day. As we were getting ready in the morning, I noticed that the inner curtain for the sliding door was missing, and it appeared that someone yanked it off, which basically gave us no privacy. I also noticed an excessive amount of stains on the carpet which appeared to have been from the previous guest since majority of the stains were still moist. At that point I had seen enough and I usually wait until the end of my stay to report my findings and dissatisfaction, but I needed to make it a point to address it now so that front desk was aware of the poor condition of the room. Michelle was very apologetic and offered us a refund on the resort fees. Unfortunately, because of the lack of room availability, she was not able to find us another room for the weekend. I was baffled that housekeeping did not notice the drain issue since they're supposed to clean the tub at the end of every stay. Also, the lack of them not reporting the curtain missing as well as how filthy the carpet was. This room should've never been offered to the public until the repairs and cleaning was done properly . It appears that there is a huge gap in quality control when it comes to housekeeping and I fear this will continue to be a problem if it's not addressed properly. This was my 10th time staying at the Lake Arrowhead Resort and I noticed a huge shift since the resort was sold off and lost its AAA Four Diamond Award quality. Please go back to the basics. Take the client's feedback and concerns and actually do something to address them. This place has great potential with an AMAZING location it just requires quality control, consistency and strong leadership to bring it back to its glory. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any additional questions or if you would like to invite me back to experience another stay of better quality.

Ask the Community - Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa

    Swimming pool hours?

    8am-10pm

Do the tvs have chrome cast?

The TVs do not offer Chrome Cast as an option

Will there be a Thanksgiving menu available?

What is the pet policy? Pet friendly?

Sure why not. It's located outside along the side of the street. I wouldn't see a problem with bringing your dog so long as it's on a leash while you stand in line with him/her.

Is there a gym in the resort?

    Yes. Pretty good one.

    Hi you have a spa?

They do it wasn't open when we were there 2 weeks ago

Does anyone know if you can fish around the hotel from the shore? Are there any fishing/tackle stores nearby?

No fishing off the shore but off a pier and boat. The hotel has a very small beach front. There is a sporting type store where you can buy the boat tickets. The hotel can help you with the fishing activity as it is in their activity sheet.

Does anyone know if there are any vegan options at the restaurant?

Don't know about the restaurant, but for my daughter's wedding, we had an absolutely delicious vegan option--stuffed portabella mushroom. I would suspect that the restaurant could do the same.

Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins is a family owned establishment and has been for decades. Each of the…read morecabins here are stand-alone cabins on 6 acres of forest. They also have a really nice event / wedding venue on the property. We stayed in the Little House on the Pond cabin which shared a small man-made pond with 3 other cabins. (Side note: Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins isn't in Lake Arrowhead proper but about a 20 minute drive east on the 189 in the small township of Twin Peaks - which is a nice mountain town but it's a bit of a drive away from Lake Arrowhead) These cabins are really cute. They are rustic yet comfortable - the sofa & chairs are comfy but I wish the sofa was deeper. There are 2 full size beds in the 2 upstairs bedrooms and the beds are super comfy! The one we slept in had a down mattress pad which really upped the comfort. There was also a nice comforter. On the downside, I am tall and I barely fit lengthwise. My feet were on the bottom rail and my head was up against the headboard. Ample parking: our cabin had its own small driveway to park in. The party lights on the deck were really nice for sitting outside on the Adirondack chairs at night. It was also really nice to build a fire in the fireplace on a crisp night. We had a lantern with a dead battery and the maintenance guy came very fast to replace it. There are lots of dishes and cookware to make snacks & meals and they have lots of things you can check out from the office like smore sticks, french presses, orange juicer, veggie steamer, charcoal BBQ, chop sticks and much, much more. On the downside: One of the big reasons we got this cabin was to have a fireplace...and they charge you $10 for a bundle of wood, which is annoying considering how much we paid to stay here (including an $80 resort fee - that doesn't include a bundle of firewood!!?) Tip: We picked up a fire bundle at Grocery Outlet for $6 that was significantly bigger than the one they had sitting by our fireplace for sale. The other big reason we got this particular cabin (Little House on the Pond) was for the big claw tub and it was very disappointing! First of all, you want a claw tub so you can relax & soak in a deep tub, and this tub is not deep enough to stay submerged. When I filled it up and got in, the water drained out the overflow drain until the water that remained in the tub left me half out of the water. You really want to soak in these things and you better do it quick here! (Note: We mentioned this when we checked out and he said they would look into getting a water level extender to put over the drain or something) Also, their hot water heater isn't big enough to last till this tub is full enough to get in. It ran cold after a while and I had to stop filling and let the hot water build back up and do that a few times to have a reasonably warm full bath. The stairs in this cabin are a neck breaker (very steep), almost like a ladder. The bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. This could potentially be dangerous going to the bathroom in the middle of the night (or for anyone who has a challenge walking). They should at least put in some nightlights on the stairs so you can see them when it is dark. On the admin side, you have to wash all your dishes and take out your own garbage or be charged a $60 fee. I have never (even at lower priced hotels) been told to wash my own dishes and take out my garbage. I kinda get it if you have a big family with 8 or 10 people - I'm sure they've had lots of people leave it a total mess, but for 2 of us it was a bit annoying to pay what we did and have to clean up everything. I mean part of being on vacation is to have people wait on you and not have to worry about these things - especially for what I paid to stay here. Another thing, when we checked in we asked for pool towels and she got us a few but told us in the future we needed to bring our own pool towels...Then what are we paying such a high resort fee for!!? After all is said and done I am giving Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins 4 stars. Again, this place is cute, nice and very comfortable but with all the dings mentioned above, I can't give it 5 stars.

Amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, tennis courts, basketball court, sand volleyball court, hiking trail, WiFi, parking and an on-site restaurant. Cabin accommodations come in different configurations with most rooms including a fireplace and deck offering beautiful mountain or lake views. We've visited the lodge three times now. The last time was October 2020, and it was great to discover that UCLA continues to upgrade its facilities with new amenities including a tavern (they serve adult beverages!) as well as pickleball courts. We've enjoyed our visits every time, but IMO the cabins are due for a renovation/upgrade. After our most recent visit Memorial Day weekend, I would also warn guests to beware of oakworms or leafrollers (moth caterpillars that rappel down on silken threads) which seemed to be everywhere this time of year. We are a family of UCLA alumni and our getaways to Lake Arrowhead always have a special place in our hearts, so allow me to finish with...GO BRUINS!!! [Insert 8-Clap Here]

The main lodge had tea and coffee stocked every day, which was so nice. Rooms also came equipped with a Keurig in case you didn't want to make the trek to the lodge. The staff were incredibly kind. From food staff to receptionist to bar staff, everyone was so accommodating. One small thing though was the drinks from the bar tasted a bit funny. Both mine and my partner's drinks had this weird barbecue sauce flavor, which was odd! The lodge is a quick 20-minute (free) bus ride to the village, which is small but definitely worth a visit. :)

Gail the manager, who has been there for only three months, was very nice and friendly and accepted us like family, they have their lobby filled with all sorts of snacks, coffee, tea, assorted fruits, fresh and delicious apples from the trees, chips, cereal and more, all open to the guests 24/7, she had even made homemade acorns with chocolate kiss on top, were delicious, all in all a great getaway, for sure a gem to be discovered.

The whole experience was great. Booking was super easy, pricing for the area was quite reasonable and then the actual space was super cute and fun. We stayed in the "Love Letter" room which had a fantastic view of the lake. The style was, as noted by previous reviewers, Victorian and beautifully done. We were greeted by Chris and given a tour of the spaces available to us which included a kitchenette stocked with snacks and goodies (midnight cereal, YES!), a wide selection of DVDs and board games. The room had a little fireplace, lounge room, large bathroom (no bathtub) and a super cozy bed. The ONLY thing that was less than perfect as that the blanket was a tiny stuffy smelling. We very much enjoyed this B&B. Be sure to check out the Belgian Waffle and the Village just across the way.

Was a bit concerned based on the reviews but it looks like the unit we stayed at, "Little Petite"…read morehad recently remodeled. This rating is based on the price point this cabin type facility is compared against not your city hotels. Unit was clean, sheets clean no excessive wear, quaint stylish molding around the floor and ceiling. Kitchen nook was basic essential: clean sink, good working fixtures, no utensils, heavy duty paper towels, double ply Kleenex, floors laminate appeared to be installed 1-2 years ago. There is as a large window size A/C unit which they vented through a wall and neatly duct-taped to close off the wall hole. The finishing of the furnace and older dry wall was a little rough but acceptable. Close to Lake Arrowhead city center, was walkable but you do need to walk along the road without sidewalks so we brought a flashlight for safety in the evening. Jennifer the checkin staff was very friendly and warm. There was a bunch of snacks: Lays Chips, trail mix bar, cans of Coke, popcorn of can microwave in the room, selection of DVDs to borrow, your basic Best Western cereal dispenser, Thomas muffins, peanut butter and Jam family size container. Pleasantly surprised there was a healthier option which I had, fresh strawberries and blackberries and family size Naked juice, and yogurt w only 2 grams sugar. The room had the mini k-cup Peet/Starbucks coffee. For Tv options, you do need to register your personal streaming service with the room AppleTV device. Being in the mountains there was 2-3 bars for WiFi. I heard one unit had ants but ours didn't. Will be back.

So, it was strange when this happened: After a really bad booking and check-in experience at Fleur De Lac European Inn, where the owner asked me to leave after wanting extra cash on top of existing booking, when I already paid via another booking website (**at check in, mind you)... walking in and talking with Karen, the owner/manager of 21 years, was a sweet relief from the chaotic energy from Fleur. Karen greeted me with respect, laughs, patience, and a room (#28) that was head and shoulders above anything Fleur was offering, and it was for a similar price. She and room 28 made me feel welcomed, and Karen made sure I had everything I needed, after a bad experience. I would go back just to talk with her, and her staff. Honorable mention is Michael, who was such a positive and humorous energy at the desk. The bartendress, forgive me for not catching her name, was wonderful and welcoming, as well. It's a shame they shut down the bar area around 9pm. It's a place you want to cozy up to, late into the night, and exchange stories well into the evening hours. I'll be back, and will stay there... hopefully sooner than later.

The last time that I was at Lake Arrowhead was during a 6th grade field trip, so I was curious to see how much the area had developed since then. The Saddleback Inn is located near Lake Arrowhead Village, which is a very short and convenient walking distance from the inn if you want to get out and explore. The Saddleback Inn is also adjacent to Diane's Saddleback Grill, a restaurant that is affiliated with the inn. Note: If you want to check in or out, the front desk is located inside the restaurant. Once you check in, you'll be directed to your reserved cottage, which individually stands apart from other cottages. I thought that was awesome because you get more privacy. There is also a 7-11 nearby if you want to grab snacks or drinks. Our cottage (#26) featured a King-sized bed, television, mini fridge, microwave, extra storage space, and a bathtub with jacuzzi jets. The Saddleback Inn is also pet-friendly, meaning both dogs AND cats are welcome to stay, considering that many lodging establishments don't really accept cats. We brought our cat with us during the trip, which she seemed to enjoy. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay at the Saddleback Inn and hope to return someday!

Here's the good: free parking. Now for the rest. Starting with security--or the lack of it. The only visible security was a guy in a security uniform wandering around the "bistro" during breakfast and staring at guests. Other than that, anyone can walk into the lobby, onto the patio, into the bar, up the elevators, and onto the guest floors. No key access is required anywhere. The Wi-Fi situation is also concerning. There's a guest network, but there are also several suspicious room-linked networks showing up. Whether they're legitimate or not, it certainly doesn't inspire confidence. The lobby bistro was disappointing. The food was bland, watery, and overcooked. When I ordered tea, it arrived in a teapot with a broken handle. Not exactly the level of hospitality you'd hope for. The elevator didn't inspire confidence either. The doors began opening before the elevator had fully stopped at the floor, which felt more alarming than convenient. The room itself was pretty janky. A decorative scarf tossed across the bed seemed to be doing a lot of heavy lifting in the design department. The bathroom sink was missing the drain cover, the bed squeaked and creaked with every movement, and the walls were paper thin. We could clearly hear the TV from the neighboring room. There's only a few tv stations and no streaming options. The second floor was noisy overall, with parking lot sounds carrying late into the night and starting up again early in the morning. If you're hoping for a good night's sleep, lower your expectations. The pool and spa area were equally disappointing. The hot tub had food and something dark floating on the surface, and children were using it unsupervised. The view from the pool isn't relaxing either--unless freeway signs are your idea of scenic. What bothered me most was how misleading the photos are. The pool looks lovely online. The room photos show bathrobes that don't actually exist. The food photos displayed throughout the hotel look appetizing and polished, while the actual meals that arrive bear little resemblance to what's advertised. Overall, the photos sell a completely different experience than the one you'll actually get. Aside from free parking, I struggled to find much to recommend here.
