I've bought a 2001 Saab 9-5 Sport Wagon from this place on December 18th of 2014, and I have not had a single problem with it. I love my car. I went here after I totaled my 2008 Impala. Needless to say, I needed something safer, and definitely found it here. At the time I went shopping here, this place had a 5 star rating on yelp (which led me here). I was looking for something foreign, and/or mid-luxury. When I arrived I had my eye on this Saab and a 2003 Volkswagen Passat. I think Simo was the name of the gentleman we worked with. He had all of the Carfax available and I was able to make a decision based off of the solid history of the Saab versus the Passat. We test drove both vehicles, and I liked the pick-up of the Saab better, though the Passat felt like it had brand-new brakes installed. Simo offered us a warranty on the Saab for a monthly fee (I forgot how much it was) but I just bought it as is. One bonus was that Simo offered me June 2016 tabs on the new plates (18 months from December 2014) for $40, as opposed to just leaving with June 2015 plates. Very helpful come the following June. Simo was very honest with us. For anybody buying used, I say it's really on you to do some of the work and make intelligent decisions. Ask questions, do your research, understand the cost of ownership, etc. Another bonus was the sheer selection of cars here. Simo had BMW's for DAYS!! I got my car for around $4K cash, but I was so tempted to get the Mustang he had, or drop another grand for a BMW or the Lexus truck I saw. Dude even had a Dodge Magnum with a Chrysler 300C body front attached. Crazy. Based off of how well my car has been treating me, my Mom wants to shop here for her next used car. My good friend is always trying to buy my Saab off of me too. This place is definitely worth a look. read more

Came in to see a car posted on Craigslist, priced higher than what we were willing to pay, Simo worked with us to try to get us financed, didn't get approval on time considering we live a distance away, we were ready to walk out the door and search somewhere else because the car was $2000 over budget and right as we were ready to leave he offers to drop it down to our beginning price range. Couldn't have had better service or a better result than today. Very very pleased with his flexibility to work with us. Was about to leave completely disappointed and not ready to start the car searching process over again and now am leaving 110% satisfied. We got a great deal, better than what we were willing to pay a day before. Update: This is a really late update but I've never been more dissatisfied with a purchase and the dishonesty of a car dealer. A week into owning the car I noticed my car was shaking when idling and I took it into my mechanic, my radiator was tied on to my motor with a yellow rope. Called simo and asked if he could pay for the damages and he declined. There goes $1200. No less than 2 weeks later my car started making a really loud noise coming from the muffler / shaking a lot. Didn't have time to take it in, two days later I'm leaving work at 2 am in downtown Seattle and my car just kills right after I try to go at a green light. Had to tow my car at 2 am. Turns out my engine was not bolted in properly and was missing a few screws so my engine had dropped and fell out of place (which is what killed my car) broke my two front axels and tail pipe. It's been two months or so and I'm trying to get my money back through a lawyer. Please don't waste your time coming here. read more

It is not often that you can say you had a pleasurable time buying a used car. Let me say this place was a breath of fresh air. Simo the owner was more than helpful. He locked up the shop and ran all over town with us to finish our loan paperwork and DMV needs. The place is small and you will drive right past it if you are not watching. We came to look at a car last month. First, couldn't find anyone, and the office was locked. Then a salesman showed up, was talking on his phone, and didn't come to see us for several minutes. We asked to see a Honda Fit that had been advertised. He said "Fine, just let me get the jumper kit." Several attempts to jump it before it started. Once we get in there is NO DRIVER'S SEAT BELT. It had been on the lot, you know, "not long, about a month." The steering wheel felt sticky. He says " Oh, we'll replace the battery and get a new seat belt." My husband found another broken piece of the plastic framing in the back. When we say we're concerned about what else we might find, he said "It's such a small car, what else could there be?" Monday morning I called the lot for her because her calls would go directly to voice mail. I explained what was going on and all they would say is she did not buy a warranty. I stopped by to take a look at the certain car they are advertising on Internet for believe it or not past 9-10 months.They gradually reduced the price eight thousand and still can't sell it. Now I know why. I stood by the car I was interested in for a good 10-15 minutes before the person "working" there even looked at me. I had to ask if I could see the interior of the car and maybe start it. The guy acted like I was asking him to donate the kidney. I asked for the Carfax and he would let me see it only out of his hand while waving it around !? If you want to be disrespected and have your intelligence insulted than this is the place to go otherwise go to the real, legitimate car dealership. PLEASE READ IF YOU CONSIDER GOING HERE!!! Where to start. My mom and I were looking for a used car for myself. Specifically a Mazda 3. After searching online for a few days I had a couple Mazdas and dealerships on my checklist to peek at, and the '08 white Mazda 3 at Lake City Auto Sales was first on my check list! So we get to the dealership. It's tiny and pretty hard to see all of the cars considering they're parked vertically down the lot, and then another set of cars were parked across those, horizontally. I didn't see the Mazda 3 at first so when Simo (Owner?) asked what I was looking for and I told him, he pointed me towards the back corner of the lot, under a bunch of tree and basically in the bushes. But there was the Mazda! It was in pretty good condition at first glance besides the fact it looked like it'd been sitting for a month or two. We checked it out and I was interested so he moved the blocking cars out of the way to pull out the Mazda. Well, it wouldn't start. And after five minutes of trying he said he'd need to jump it. Okay, no problem, it's probably been sitting. So he tried jumping it a few times and still no start. "It just has to charge" he said a couple times but after twenty minutes of "charging" the damn car still wouldn't start!!! My mom finally mentioned she had a real good strength jump box in her trunk so she grabbed that and finally the car started. So Simo pulls it out, I'm happy and smiling because the car is beautiful inside and out. But guess what happens? The car dies. At that point my mom and I were starting to get uninterested... But he insisted we try again. He tried putting my moms jump box on the battery and wasn't connecting them to the right piece of metal and my mom mentioned hat over and over but he wouldn't listen. At this point she's almost yelling at him to knock it off because the battery, which was already rusted, started smoking!!!!!! But all he had to say was that if we bought the car he would replace the battery. WHY NOT REPLACE IT NOW?! And also this whole time he was on the phone and ignoring us. Okay, so once my MOM finally got the jump box on correctly, we finally gave it one last chance. I mean at this point I wanted to at least drive the damn car. Meanwhile we inspect it closer and realize the back left fender was rusted and almost starting to chip off. I also realized the door panel had chipped paint near the top of the window and it literally looked like someone took white out to cover it up. We asked if it had been in any accidents and he said no.....okay. Asked for car fax. He then goes to get them (keep in mind at this point the car is still "charging") My mom and I were basically ready to leave, this was ridiculous and not like any other car buying experience we've either been through. This guy was asking $5995 for a pile of crap, basically. He took at least 10 minutes to grab the car facts and my mom felt weird about that, she mentions to make sure all of the pages were there (as hey label them at the bottom) so when he brings them to us guess what the first thing I looked for was. Well, the page was CUT!!! they had cut off the bottom of the paper so the pages weren't labeled. And they were dumb enough to do it by hand so the cut wasn't even straight. I couldn't believe this. But as I was reading the fax he got the car started and asked if I wanted to drive it. So we drive it down the highway and I immediately knew it wasn't right!!! There was a clicking sound both my mom and I could hear but he claimed he couldn't hear it and once it was so pronounced he finally said it was from being cold. Cold? No. It also felt like the transmission was slipping but when I mentioned that he told me I didn't know what I was talking about and that it's a great car. We pulled back in the lot, got out of the car and he went inside. Okay? So my mom and I got in our car and left before he could come out- and as were pulling away he gives us a dirty look. I recently got a car from here and it was a complete sh*t show. I had gotten financing and everything and when I came to pick up the car, they pulled it out for me and hit the front bumper and the front bumper fell off. It was literally like pulling teeth to try to get them to fix it. They told me the car had no issues and then a week later I noticed that the exhaust cap was off and it was leaking gas. My boyfriend even talked to them for me and they just swore at him, called him names and hung up on him. I recently just had to get the transmission completely replaced, but thank God it was under warranty by Nissan. I do understand that I should have done more due diligence as a consumer but they completely fucked me over. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. read more

Classic Bait and Switch! I visited Lake City Auto Sales on the 13th of May to see a 2005 Toyota Prius that was listed on Craigslist for $4995. When I arrived, I was told by Fadi that it was a mistake, that they had fixed the mistake right away and that the correct price was $6000. I told him that I thought they should honor the price and he said that he could go as low as $5500. However, it's been 3 weeks now and it is still listed on Craigslist for $4995. https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/ctd/5583184850.html In addition, the ad says 124,914 Kilometers, always garaged, GPS system, highway miles, never seen snow, non-smoker, and moonroof. The car has 124,914 in miles (not kilometers), no GPS, no moonroof, and Fadi told me they had no service records or knowledge from the previous owner because they bought it at auction. I didn't buy the car since they wouldn't honor the advertised price, so there is no money in dispute. When I got there, he wanted to show me a bunch of other cars, so I think that they purposefully advertise it low to get you out there. read more

Don't waste your time with this dealership. Do a quick google search and you'll see the reviews. Not only were they very hesitant of letting me test drive the car, they also denied the power door locks being broken. I took it on a test drive anyways being turned off immediately and took the car to the mechanic. The car kept having little issues. Radio wires cut, hazards not working, dome light not working, a suspension issue making lots of noises when driving, the front brake smoking and smelling really bad. When I got back the dealer told me a test drive is "only 5 minutes" and so told I him I had the car checked by a mechanic and he told me I wasn't allowed to do that. I just left immediately and would not recommend this dealer to anyone. read more

THE WORST car buying experience I've ever had bar none. Simo and his partner Fadi should be arrested for trying to sell these crappy cars to the general public. I'm currently working with a lawyer to try to get my money back on a car I bought for my daughter a couple of months ago that completely broke down after about 2 weeks. My daughter saved up $2500 to put down on a decent, reliable used car. I ended up putting another $2500 and bought the car for $5000 cash. Two days after we bought it, I took it in for a tune-up and my mechanic told me that the radiator is attached with a rope. I decided to have that fixed for $1300 and planned to take Simo to small claims court cause the engine seemed fine. Two weeks after that it just stopped working, and my daughter had to have it towed to my mechanic at 3 a.m. Next day my mechanic called me and said that one of the motor mounts was attached to nothing, and the engine finally worked it's way off and broke both front axles, snapped the exhaust system, and tore through a bunch of wiring! I called Simo and told him to give me my money back or I'll get a lawyer. He told me to go ahead and get a lawyer, so I did, and now I'm hoping he will do the right thing. I'm lucky my daughter was only pulling out of a parking spot when this car broke, and not on the freeway, or I'd probably be in jail by now!! It has now been rotting in my driveway for over 2 months! Not really sure where to start this review, but here goes. I drove up from Oregon to hit some lots for a used car. Stopped by Lake City Auto Sales after seeing a 2005 B7 style Audi A4 with the 3.2l engine and auto trans with 130k miles for $6995. The listing on their website painted a picture of a flawless silver gem, and indeed upon arrival I found the vehicle and was impressed with the cosmetic condition of the car. During the test drive the tiptronic mode in the trans was great but I was a bit concerned by the hesitation while it was in full automatic. Now for the history lesson, read the carfax report provided by the dealer. The car had a wreck listed no frame damage. But after 2010 the car has yet to pass an emissions test. Now for my due diligence, told the salesman (Simo), before I make an offer I want have it inspected with a compression test completed. He offered to have his mechanic perform the compression test and allow me to watch the test so I could verify the results they got. He offered this as a way "to save me money". Sounded like a nice thing to offer, here's the problem...his mechanic was doing a Google search on "how to perform a compression test". At that point I just told Simo I'd rather have an independent shop perform the test with the full inspection. Fast forward 3 hours....inspection done, a ticking time bomb dressed up as a gorgeous silver B7 A4. Passenger side cylinder bank compression is pushing the limits of tolerance for the engine, driver side compression has a 10+ psi variance between the 3 cylinders in that bank, it is throwing cam shaft sensor codes, timing cover is leaking copious amounts of fluid, and the valve cover is leaking. Now, a timing chain, usually not to big of a job, for this car the transmission has to be dropped to do that work. The minimum quote to complete the work was $3k. I returned the A4 to Simo and informed him about the findings of the report. He offered to only charge me $1k to change the timing chain. Stay with me now, he held firm on the vehicles price and then tried to convince me to buy it and charge me to let his mechanic do the timing chain work, you remember the one that was using Google to learn how to perform a compression check. I politely told them there was nothing short of selling the car at half the asking price that would convince me to buy it. They billed this car as in "excellent condition", I couldn't find any way to bring this car up to a "rough condition" mechanically. One last thing, as I was walking out, his partner was saying we'll just replace the timing chain and sell it for $10k. Yeah guys, good luck with that. read more
