We stayed in a Lakewood 2 bath King suite for 4 days Aug 28- Sep 1st. Room was clean upon arrival. We were on the first floor & proximity to pool walkway & pool entrance was way too close for us and we had zero patio privacy. The Staff also used the walkway which butts up against the front of our patio, to park their transport carts on and off throughout the day beginning at 6am & up till 8pm. If you have kids, this would be the perfect room & proximity to the pool. We had a peaceful stay otherwise however on the 3rd day, people ck'd into the room above us, we were able to hear them walk around, open & close clothes drawers and patio doors. Now, back to the room itself; The mattress needs to be updated. Very basic mattress with small cushioned top. Not too comfortable after day 2. Bedding itself also needs updating. Sitting room furniture is not comfortable, fold out bed not useable unless you're a small child. Carpet could be padded better and it may help with hearing everything the people above are doing. There Was no maid room cleaning during your stay which we understand but we had no options for garbage disposal, we had to haul it outside to garbage cans. Fresh towels were available after 3rd day of our stay. Bathrooms are updated with basic shower fixtures, large shower head but overall basic, tile and countertops. Second smaller bath had a basic sized bathtub. Zero ventilation in bathrooms or any rooms unless you open sliding doors. Proximity of Lakewood rooms to the restaurant isn't convenient in rain or cold weather or if you're not able to walk distances as you must walk outside approx 500ft just to enter the main resort building...then you walk further inside to the restaurant, cafe, gift shop or indoor pool as Lakewood building is separate from the main resort. Lack of high end restaurant. "Opening Soon" so we traveled to the Abbey Resort for a fantastic meal! We found a hidden gem, JoJos Pizza! It's small but the food was fantastic and authentic. It's a short 5 min drive from the Lake Lawn Resort and worth it. Pools in or outside the resort did not seem to be heated. Pool bar hut near the main pool was closed our entire stay. To get a beverage you had to redress and go inside the lookout bar. Resort was overall clean and well kept Pools need better cleaning however- bottoms were dirty and had older foliage submerged. Room have Zero USB ports - bring a plugin USB charger as the gift shop was "out". We went to the Walmart close by and purchased a plug in charger. Free internet & cable with 3 HBO channels was available Cell phone reception is good Nearby construction going on of new condos near the Lakewood rooms make having doors open difficult due to noise of construction vehicles beeping continuously. Isle of Capri Cafe is more pre-prepared sandwiches & wraps with frozen pizzas The only restaurant on site, Lookout Bar & Eatery has good burgers, few dinner options but can't review as we didn't eat dinner there. Bar is there but if empty will close earlier than listed close time. Game room is a nice touch $1.00 a play. Staff was very friendly & accommodating at all times!! Once the 1878 On The Lake opens, we would love to return hopefully during a time when the resort offers more activities as the lake tours weren't even running. read more

Nice place to stay, kind staff, good food options, really pretty views. Admittedly curious for adaptive mobility needs... Traveling with my wheelchair dependent toddler. We're in the Boulder building- it was pretty odd and kind of tough having to navigate the 3 stairs (I picked him up and carried him in his wheelchair down the stairs, about 100lbs total), just to get to the elevator, just to go upstairs. If somebody falls, yikes- and that's also a bit of an ADA nightmare. On our way back to our room from dinner, a mom with a newborn and toddler in a double stroller was struggling with the same issue. I was skeptical before visiting based on reviews but we had an overall positive experience. I enjoyed the grounds and the indoor walkways on a not-great weather weekend. Room was clean, a little dated, but okay. Conference center and restaurants were all updated with good service. A relaxing weekend getaway, I'd be eager to visit during the summer. read more

We've gone to Lake Lawn lodge several times for various family gatherings. They have a nice resort with nice property. Their golf course appears to be kept up very well. Their rooms are clean but feel a bit old and dark. It's been a while since they have been redone. If you don't spend a lot of time in the rooms, it will be fine. Most of the rooms (all of ours) have always had a balcony or walk-out area to sit and enjoy the outoors. The pool is a resort pool, very relaxing and clean. It isn't "HUGE" which we like about it. The service all around is 5 stars. They really take care of guests and consistently make you feel welcome. Other than the need for a refresh so it doesn't feel so 80's and drabby, the place is a great destination. read more

Love this place. We pre- rented a speed boat. Called about getting a tube was told that they cannot be added to the reservation but they had plenty . On arrival there were no tubes. The staff worked with us and got a new tube from the back and blew it up for us. They were also very nice showing us the boat operations. A great time was had by all. The lake was not super busy so perfect place for tubing. The boat was in excellent condition and we highly enjoyed it. Would highly recommend the Lake Lawn Marina for a fun day on the lake! read more

Disappointed. Received a $400 gift card for Christmas a few years ago. I recently tried to use it and found out that it had expired. When I called to ask about it, they referred me to the fine print on the back of the card which stated the expiration policy. I am not aware of any gift cards that still expire, especially when the amount has been paid in full, so I was disappointed that there was no effort made to help me recoup any of the value from the card. read more

Very nice place to visit! There are 2 pools, one inside and one outside! There is also a jacuzzi inside! The property is well kept. Nice walking paths around the resort. There are 3 restaurants that serve good food! I love the gift shop! Great Wisconsin finds like Minnetonka moccasins and shoes, resort wear and items you may have forgotten at home. Rooms are clean and cozy. They each come with a microwave, coffee maker and mini refrigerator. Nice bathroom with plenty of clean towels! Free ample parking. Very close to Lake Geneva. There is also a close by Walmart in case you need something you may have forgotten. We visit at least once a year! read more

We sent to Lake Lawn Boat Rentals on 8/12/21. They have all new equipment. Was great. We rented a large pontoon boat and a big tube for 4 kids for 4 hours. We also rented a wave runner for 2 hours. The equipment is all brand new and top notch. The facility has been all remodeled and looks great. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. We love going to Lake Delavan. Clear fresh water, very low boat traffic and beautiful scenery along the lake. My grandkids had a ball! Sure beats the crowded lake at Lake Geneva. The water in Lake Delavan is much warmer too. We always found Lake Geneva to be a bit cold. You can bet this is where we will always go for a day of boating. Its just an hour away from us in Chicago's far west suburbs. Was here with hubby back in Aug. The last Hurraha before school.picked back up. We purchased a packaged deal just at the right time. The resort wasn't busy so we had the place pretty much to ourselves. Beautiful grounds and spacious room with a walk out patio over looking the gardens. Big beautiful trees rustling in the wind as if talking to us. We hung out one night at the lounge by the lake. Good people, great music, reasonably priced drinks. Bartender Mike was very accommodating and friendly. Nice stay-va just a few miles north of Lake Geneva. Most deff. Will return. You can also rent water toys like wave runners or a boat. During the spring and summer months of course. Sigh, given this bitter cold we are having...it is all just a dream away! read more

If you like solving a maize at night after a long drive with poor night vision then this resort is for you. POOR SINAGE FOR NEW RESERVATIONS and very rude employees at the front desk during late hours. I am disabled, When I finally found the reservation building the clerk said about my disability, " oh if you're disabled, and you drove here,". How RUDE. Then with the DOZENS OF LODGES, finding my LODGE at NIGHT as A MATUTE ADULT with night vision issues was a challenge. When I finally found my lodge, thank goodness a nice family was coming through the parking lot and wanted to help me, as a disabled person, carrying all my luggage to my room was a challenge but this family pitched in and helped NO STAFF FROM LLL TO HELP. The staff at LLL gets a C- from me for customer service. The room was nice but I hope the ceiling support beams were cracked for effect and NOT because the second floor was going to come down on the first floor, cracks in the beams and the beans were not seated properly. The bath tub was a nice Kohler deep massage tub. That was nice. Clean room, nice TV but for the price, the signage NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED!!!!! Not easy to figure out which building is the reservation building at night. Also, teach your staff how to behave with disabled guests, the need help. read more

Gave this place a 2nd chance at a fun lake. Booked a "newly renovated" queen loft room and was quite disappointed. They are in the process of developing homes near the property and I'm sure their budget is going that way. Bathroom shower had mildew/mold, ac in loft didn't operate properly, beds are saggy. Room in general needs more than updating and a thorough cleaning. Staff was friendly which would be the only plus side to this property. read more

Just completed our four night stay at Lake lawn resort. Overall it was a decent stay. There are a few pros and cons. The pros: amenities, location, lake access, and water sports were awesome. However, the boats were a bit dirty and had spiderwebs all over them. Other than that it was great. Food was decent, but not amazing. Rooms were recently renovated but the hallways were dingy and the carpeting stunk. The whole building smelled like mold. The staff seems nice and helpful, but we didn't see many around. This brings me to the cons: as stated above it's newly renovated but still very dated in one of the buildings. A lot of things were closed towards the end of our stay such as the café. The food is pretty overpriced for what you get. They have a bug problem and don't seem to be taking care of it. There were huge spiderwebs with spiders in them in almost every doorway, we killed probably 8 to 10 spiders ourselves in our room. There were little micro bugs in our room as well, I noticed them in our ice bucket one morning and saw them on my phone. We also did not notice much enforcement of COVID-19 protocol. There are signs, but we didn't see anyone enforcing things or cleaning down things. As a matter of fact we noticed quite a few people moving in and out of chairs and tables without them being cleaned. We brought our own Clorox wipes and cleaned everything we used. Overall it was a good stay but the resort fee is a waste because they're not doing much as far as maintaining the resort. And they're also not doing any housekeeping, which is understandable during COVID-19, but why still charge us $20 a night? I would definitely say the lake lawn resort deserves three stars. read more

My husband and I went this last Halloween weekend and we were absolutely satisfied! The King Loft Suite 3 bth was impeccably clean. The staff was excellent and the grounds were beautiful. There was not 1 thing that was anything but 5 star! We went golfing and the course is perfectly groomed. Absolutely one of the best places and reasonable for cost. The Outlook restaurant has delicious burgers and breakfast. Wish we had more time to enjoy the spa that is on site. We will be coming back for another relaxing time. Ok stay overall. Pretty view. Nice rustic feel. Food options are overpriced and not that good so I recommend eating offsite. TVs in rooms are pretty crumby. No room furniture just uncomfortable chairs. Blankets and beds could use an update, worn out blankets and pillows. Kids running around everywhere. Pool constantly overrun. If you have no kids be prepared for chaos. Roll the dice. Only my first time. Not sure on a return visit , off season prices are still pretty expensive. Thus my harsher criticism. read more

This is the best place you could stay! Right outside lake Geneva, from the hotel, it's only about a 10 minute drive to the downtown. But don't let that discourage you, there is so much to do at the resort! Just some examples would be swimming, golfing, bike riding, boat rentals, places to eat and arcades for the kids. The rooms were big, open lay out and full of sunlight. the beds are comfortable and the views are incredible overlooking Delavan lake. This is a must if you are thinking about coming to lake Geneva. We went there for a get away in July. Should have listened to everyone that said the place was old and smelled musty. We did have a nice view of the lake from our patio, but the patio was filled with bird crap. The sheets felt like they were made of paper, very uncomfortable. Will not go back. Kicker - We get home and put the luggage away only to find them infested with bed bugs a month later. We had to replace the box spring, mattress, and have an exterminator come buy. $1,600.00. Tried on numerous occasions to contact Lake Lawn Lodge, but never a response. Think twice about this place. read more

I rented a 22' speed boat on three days during 4th of July week and had a great experience with the marina. The staff is so friendly and efficient. They set us up with tubes, skis, wakeboards, life vests, and got us checked out and onto the water in just a few minutes each morning, even on a very busy 4th of July. They were always on the dock waving me in and helping to tie the boat up. When I started to reach to clean up empty bottles left in the boat, they told me that they would get it, saying, "That's what you're paying for." Super convenient location, and very relaxing way to rent a boat for your lake vacation. read more

We had a hotels.com free night here on 8/16. We used Google maps and had no trouble getting here at all. We were able to check in early at 3PM. Our room was in the Lakewood building which is not connected to the hotel but a separate building. All of the other buildings are connected to the main hub. We get to our room and it looks nice enough but there was something sticky on the bathroom door. I am not sure what it was but I cleaned it off. The beds looked good but when my daughter went to bed later she complained crumbs were in her bed.(and she didn't eat in the bed) I was grossed out!. I had to call housekeeping. My bed looked fine but I did let the front desk know about our experience. There was also a hole in the screen door. We couldn't use the small patio because of the rain and there was also a pool that we couldn't use in our building outside. It ended up raining the next morning too. I liked the high beamed ceilings and the room had a big bathroom and soak tub. We went for a early dinner/ late lunch around 3:30PM and on our way back the sky opened up and it started to rain. Our plans to enjoy lake Delevan were pretty much shot. We had to drive to the other side of the resort to use the indoor pool. It needs resurfacing and a good paint job. It is roped off but has a steep drop off. My daughter got in trouble fairly quickly. I was able to swim to her to help her out. There were two towel attendants but they were busy taking and didn't see we were in trouble. The gift shop was pretty cute and had a lot of neat things. There was a coupon for BOGO gelato which my daughter and I ate. We thought our selections were good. We stopped at a local Walgren's to stock up because the room had a microwave and fridge. No fire pits because of the rain so we had microwave S'mores. So besides the housekeeping issue, the resort is charming and I will be sure to check out the Groupon to visit during the winter or fall. It was pretty close to Milwaukee too. Only a 50 minute drive. The do charge a $13.00 resort fee which we had to pay upon check out. And there was a $75.00 incidental charge which we didn't use and it was refunded back. read more

We came in to rent wave runners for a couple hours of fun. We couldn't have had a better experience! The staff was incredibly friendly, and the Marina office had snacks for purchase, very clean change/rest rooms and a big selection of life jackets to use. Highly recommend! read more

After checking in, we got to our room and the main door was wide open as well as the door to the shared balcony. There was not service and the complimentary wifi didn't work. There were cob webs on the ceiling, the dead bolt didn't work, the room tv didn't work, the AC unit didn't work and the vending machine didn't work so we couldn't get drinking water during our stay. On top of that, we tried to get dinner at their 1878 restaurant. When we got there right around dinner time, the host/manager turned us away saying they don't take walk ins and their reservations were fully booked. There was only 1 table sat at the time and we then saw online that every reservation appointment was available that evening. Horrible experience at this property. read more

We rented a pontoon boat through Lake Lawn and it was fantastic! The booking process was very simple. We chose the double decker and it was so fun. i just had a vacation here, it was fun but a ton of things that were suspicious, the back of the hairdryer had a bit of metal or coil sticking out, i tried looking at the mini coffee machine inside the room, it looked dirty and not cleaned. At night when me, my brother and sister tried to charge our devices in the upstairs, there were about 2-3 outlets but only one worked so i had to charge my phone in the morning. i also needed to deliver food to my family in the indoor pool but the interior of the hotel rooms are super confusing, i couldn't find anything and was going in circles for 20 minutes. But i did eat at the restaurant inside, it had delicious food, but i was rushed to order, and the menu was overwhelming because i am 13 years old, when i took a look at the drinks i could only find non age appropriate drinks. and i wish they could connect the whole resort together because me and my family had to walk like 2 miles to go to the indoor pool. overal the experience was fun but was kinda crappy read more

If you enjoy a so-called resort that has bugs in your bed, hasn't been cleaned in ages and has mold in the bathrooms then this is the place where dreams come true. How this place is priced the same as an actual luxury resort is astounding. It's been 4 days since we were told that a manager would be calling us due to having to change rooms because of the bug infestation. They refused to reduce the price at all and found it perfectly normal and acceptable to share a bed with bugs. Safe to say we will never return nor will anyone that we know. Nothing like a nice rash and no sleep to remember the awful stay we had at Lake Lawn Resort. read more

The resort was dated, I was there for my best friend 30 year wedding renewal. First of all on the first day the resort gave the Bride and Groom room away. And this was horrible to the fact they had to go back home while all their guests were at the resort. My wife and I felt so bad we were willing to sacrifice our room.
