I've always been very pleased with the care I receive at This office. Their knowledge base and desire to care for their patients is commendable. My only issue is the bathroom situation. After visiting all of my doctors in person during the pandemic this is the only office that won't allow patients to use their bathroom. They refer you to the Food Lion grocery store a couple doors down. Not sure Food Lion is aware of this. Definitely not a patient satisfier. As a nurse, i am very familiar with cleaning procedures before and during the pandemic and surprised that a medical office would prohibit patients from using their bathroom. read more

This place clearly receives kickbacks for some eyelid/wipe product and I have doubts about their billing ethics. 1. During both my primary visit for a minor eye issue, the provider pushed these eyelid wipes he wanted me to buy. I said I didn't want them, but he became very aggressive, explaining that it was the only way to keep my lids clean. When I went up front to check out, the cashier tried to sell me the same wipes! Naturally, I felt even more compelled to resist. I don't need the wipes. I can clean my face and eyelids just fine - that's what soap is for. The next point is related... 2. My follow up visit was very short, as my condition had cleared. But before I left, the provider tried to sell me... you guessed it... MORE WIPES! But this time, he wanted to show me how filthy/clogged my eyelid pores were. So, he said, "Let me show you something." He pulled out his handy dandy digital camera, snapped a couple of close shots, then put it on screen (Mr. Data, Enhance!). Despite spending about 3 minutes looking for clogs, he found nothing. He pointed at one tiny spot that was very questionable, otherwise my lids/pores are A-OK! After failing to panic me, he insisted on my purchase of these wipes to "maintain my health". Holy hell, I don't want the wipes! You could pay me a monthly benefit and I still wouldn't use the wipes! This leads me to the last, related complaint. 3. Weeks later, I receive the bill. "Office visit": Check! "Office visit III": Uh, what happened to "II"? I guess... Check! "External Photography" Che... (Rrrrppp) /record scratch. What? External photography? For $60.00! From a digital camera that probably cost $60.00?!?! For pictures I didn't even ask for so they could try to sell me some eye wipes? WHAT? I tried to call to discuss my bill, was put on hold, then mysteriously dropped. So, here I am, writing a review. I'll try to call again during business hours to see if they'll remove the photography charge I didn't ask for. Either way, this stuff seems fraudulent and I won't be returning. I had the BEST experience here! I have Kaiser insurance and their eye center has been closed ever since covid. I needed new glasses ASAP for a road trip I was about to take. I was in & out with a new pair of glasses in about an hour. The guy who helped me with my glasses fitting at the end was super helpful, professional and was able to get my glasses put together in around 20 mins. I was so happy. I can see again!! Oh and the BEST part of this experience was the fact that it was cheaper for me here without insurance than it normally is when I go in for glasses at Kaiser (my insurer) read more

Dr. Faiq was wonderful. I really appreciate that he took the time to explain the exam step by step for me and walked me through my test results. He actually had me fascinated with optics and biology by the time he was done. You can tell that he cares about and enjoys his work. The gentleman who helped me select frames was terrific as well. And PATIENT. I must've tried on 12 pairs! Thankfully he knew more about trends than I did and which frames work best for different faces. He also looked for alternative colors online for me. He steered me in the right direction without being pushy. When it was time to pick up my glasses the experience was quite different. Between the reception desk and the person who came out to bring my frames, I felt like just a number. It would've been a nice touch for him to know what type of prescription I had in order to offer advice on adjusting to them, and asking how they fit, sight, etc. It wasn't until I started asking questions that he engaged. I think it's silly to charge for a bottle of lens solution when I just spent $500 on the glasses. It's the first time I encountered an eye dr's office that charges for a small bottle of solution for glasses you're picking up. It made me think I guess I was lucky to get a case for my glasses. read more

I am not sure how some rave about this place. I had an eye exam and brought in my own designer glasses to have the lens replaced with a the new prescription. They lost my expensive case (apparently they handed it off to some other customer, knowing it didn't go with their glasses). After much ranting due to their passive tone about the situation, they agreed to offer a complimentary lower cost frame and lens fill for the mixup. This would then be my second pair. Ok I thought. Four months later, the lens on the second pair is scratched (must have been a cheaper lens) and the prescription is not good as things far away are still hard to see while things up close are too strong (overly focused). I explained before I left the store that the prescription wasn't right but the young man who gave me the glasses seemed not to understand and told me to wait a few weeks. Well its been a few months and the prescription still sucks! I'm going to have to start over again with another optician. read more

They even said we had a texting conversation that this happened but my phone has NO record of that. It was 20 minutes away and I even had to get a babysitter to make the appointment. All for nothing. The admin staff was very nice, so no issues there. I had a lot of issues with the prescriptions they gave to get me to see "20/20." When I told them that I could see most of the "bottom row" but it was still blurry, they told me I had perfect vision and started to shoo me out the door. I told them that I prefer to see without blurriness and fuzziness and was actually told, "Well, I guess we'll keep working it since you want to see clearly all of the time." It's weird to made to feel bad for trying to reach the main goal of seeing well. I thought maybe it was just one of the doctors there, but when I came back to try on another pair of contacts, I was treated the same. It felt like I was a petulant child trying to get contacts/glasses as a fad and not because I couldn't see. They don't call you back if you contacts or glasses come in, so I had to hound them every time. They apologized each time for me having to call back so frequently, but the results were still the same. It took months to get a "just okay" prescription...which is slightly better with my glasses off. I thought I'd give them one last shot if they called me back with the latest Rx, but that was in December 2014 and I've already called twice so... read more

I have been a patient at vision source for several years. It seems every year it gets worst waiting for my turn to get my eye examined. Today, I waited for over an hour for my examined and it really bothers me to sit around and wait. Their selection of magazines are horrible. In addition, their selections of eyeglasses are not interesting to me. This will be the last time I will get my eyes examined. read more

Very friendly, professional and safe. COVID19 protocols are in place, but they do not deter from the great customer service provided by the staff here. Been coming here for years, entire family. However my wife makes an appointment, almost a month in advance, and they make her wait 45 min after her appointment time and even then told her to wait more. And the place was not even busy. It should not be hard to spend money and it appears our time is not valuable so we'll seek another provider for our family. Normally don't have a problem myself, but found treatment of my wife inexcusable so we'll be going elsewhere from now on. read more

Ignore the reviews with Dr.Pierce as she is not there anymore. I saw Dr.Faiq, he has been great. I ended up going back soon after my appt due to needing different lenses and to tweak my prescription for a new pair of trials. He is very thorough and put up with my tears and many, many questions. I would recommend you take your previous glasses AND contact prescription so they can work from there. I am looking into LASIK and TLC lasik, recommended I go here for my prescription and I can see why. Great place, and friendly assistants and front desk! read more

Confirmed a 1040 appointment by automated telephone call. Went in at 1035 and the receptionist told me it was a 1020 appointment. Now the doctor may not be able to see me. I made this appointment two weeks ago and when I went in for my eye appointment they told me they don't take my vision plan. Wish they would have told me that when I made the appointment. read more

Horrible customer service. I purchased 3 pairs of glasses from them (one for me, two for my husband). They prescribed me contact lenses as well. when I asked them if contact lenses will be covered by my insurance, they told yes, of course. All you have to pay is $22. Until that is couple months later, when I got the bill for the remainder. Their response - well, you should have checked with your insurance! Seriously? Well, I thought that whatever lies you were telling me were true!!! You can't believe anything they would tell you! You have to double check everything. And by the way - I ended up purchasing another pair of glasses from BJ's!!! Of all places!!! And they fit me better and let me actually see close and far! The glasses that my optometrist prescribed for me were only for distance! So, I couldn't see anything within my arms reach. Use them at your own risk. read more

We recently discovered my little boy has a significant prescription. Ordered him his first set of glasses. No one notified us to say they were in. He had been waiting to use them at school. After calling several times I learned they were in. We picked them up and after coming home I realized the weren't the frames we ordered or the correct size either. Went back in to discuss and they placed another order for the correct ones. I was pleased they allowed us to keep the wrong ones since my son had already started wearing them and getting used to his prescription. Several weeks later and no word on the the corrected frames so my husband called and supposedly they were in. He stops in to get them but they are wrong again. This is a prescription for a young school aged child and it doesn't seem to be taken very seriously. A novelty or fashion item I understand, but this is for prescription glasses. Who knows if the prescription is even correct. I've just about lost faith I. This place. Hopefully they make good on this third attempt and I will be requesting the doctor to verify everything the next time we are in! Update: The third time my son received the correct frames and sized glasses. I should also add Dr. J was very patient and thorough with my son in his initial exam. He personally spoke with us and verified my son's glasses were correct the last time we were in. Most of our hassle seemed to be with ordering glasses as opposed to the exam portion. However, VisionSource made right on the inconvenience and offered us a second pair for the trouble we've gone through. I genuinely appreciate Dr. J's concern and their attempt to provide this level of customer service. read more

My entire family has been going to the Lake Ridge Vision Source in Dillingham Square for years. Love Dr. Conness there but the glasses are always very expensive. The upfront eye wear service is hit or miss. Had several upsetting experiences with them. My husband broke his glasses which they said they no longer carry so he ordered a complete new pair in a different frame. Later the same day he found a source in Mananas that was able to repair his old glasses. He called the vision center to cancel his order for the new glasses the next day and was told they cannot be cancelled and he will have to pay 20 percent of the total cost restocking fee to cancel the order when they come in. He was told up front the glasses will take 2 weeks to be made and sent so this is ridiculous. $600 glasses would be $120 just for this fee! I'm sure if they made any kind of mistake or a change was needed on the order they can communicate that before the glasses are made especially with the 2 weeks process. So unfair read more

I called to schedule an appointment and got one the next day. The exam was thorough, Dr Pierce and the technicians explained everything, as if this was the first time I had my eyes examined.
