The farm staff were very welcoming and willing to answer our questions. There was a little outdoor marketplace where vendors were selling their merchandise -- mostly unique handmade items. There is also a small store that reminds you of a vintage country store. Raw honey, old fashioned candy, and much, much more. The store has a vintage vibe but they are modern enough to accept Apple Pay. Score! There are beautiful plants and flowers outdoors. Also you can find yard/garden decor. To wrap up our visit, we bought freshly popped popcorn and ordered handmade milkshakes to go.

We bought the Squirrel Buster Legacy by Brome and put it to the test. After a week, we could not be more satisfied. The design allows for birds to both perch and cling onto the feeder (like a Nuthatch). It took about 2 minutes for the birds to start feeding and they haven't stopped. We observed the squirrels trying to break through but they were 100% stymied. Now, they sit below the feeder and eat what the birds spill. We were helped by Kayla who was very knowledgeable and went out of her way to be sure we were happy. Chapel Hill Wild Bird may not look impressive from the street but after looking all over, they had the best answer to our quest.

I swung by with a thimble-sized plant I'd bought from them a few weeks before. I was hoping to see…read moreif they had any advice on keeping the tiny guy happy, as he hadn't come with any care instructions. The shop assistant was friendly and offered to swap out the soil. I was buying a plastic pot and asked if she would do the same for a 4" jade plant I had in the car. When I went to pay, I was shocked that the bill came to $25. The repottings were $8 each! I've never heard of a plant store that wouldn't be willing to add a tablespoon of soil to their own plant, and usually if you're buying a pot, most places will put a plant in it for you. At a minimum, they should let you know the fees upfront instead of a breezy, misleading "I'm happy to switch out the soil if you'd like." I offered to buy a $17 bag of potting soil if they would comp the repotting fees, but they were adamant about the $16 needed to cover "materials and labor". In the end, the manager comped the tablespoon of soil added to the 2" plant (again: this plant was from their own shop). The shop assistant then removed the new soil from the jade plant, leaving the stems loosely dumped in the pot I bought from them. As a plant lover, I can't imagine doing this to a plant just to reclaim a cup of potting soil! Such a weird and unpleasant experience. [Hearing this story, nearby Copperline Plant Company repotted the jade for free, without my asking and even before I had purchased anything from them. Their policy is that anything that takes under five minutes to repot is free. Logan's Garden Shop said they'd be happy to repot a plant into a pot I'd bought from them. This has always been my experience, and I'm happy to see that it's still the norm at most places.] I did get a cute snake plant here on an earlier visit. The shop is laid out nicely for a fun browsing experience, and plants are healthy. Just know their repotting fees are steep!

I was looking for a mini cacti garden and was given many options from a mixed succulent and cacti garden to a simple potted cacti plant. They have plenty of affordable selections that you can build your own mini indoor garden for around $25 to $30. The pre-made mini pots were even more affordable from $12 to $20. If you don't know what you want, go to the greenhouse and get educated. They will help you out so much.

Very small but packed full of various plants to choose from. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We chatted for a little about the location and about other products they offered in the shop. For those that have been to the Chatham street store, this is their new location in Cary (just a heads up). The pricing seemed to be right in line with other boutique plant shops - so no real cause for alarm there. We did end up purchasing some soaps to try. I have enough plays for now lol

While we waited for the event to begin, we walked around the shop and loved seeing the beautiful variety of flowers with everything from potted plants and hanging baskets to herbs and vegetables you can take home and plant yourself. When we headed back outside, we noticed a huge strawberry field behind the store, plus an ice cream area serving fresh strawberry ice cream, which was such a sweet surprise. It made the whole experience even more special. Such a cute spot for families, especially during springtime!
