Very milky coffee not worth it. Told the barista what I wanted and felt like they didn't get it right and made the coffee overly sweet.

I grew up in San Ramon and never knew this place existed. Kind of a nice change from the coffee chains. There is a nice large windows overlooking a lake. They have nice outdoor seating although the day I came it was pouring. They have breakfast sandwiches as well. I got a vegan one and a peppermint micha. It wasn't the best I ever had but I would come here just for the atnosphere. read more

I stop by here sometimes after the gym to get coffee. It's a hidden gem. And it's so relaxing and peaceful. The baristas really know how to make a good cup of coffee. And there's always coffee art. I've gotten a heart and a leaf. Nice touch :) I usually get a cappuccino, latte or the cafe au lait drip And I love to enjoy every sip outside by the dock for a great view of the lake. read more

Love this little coffee stand, surprising very good coffee and very affordable for a stand in a conference/business center. I don't work there but it's good enough for me to stop by just to get the coffee when I'm in San Ramon area. Only open during business hours which sucks but understandable. read more

I searched online to look for coffee shops in the area and found Lakeside Coffee Bar. I read the reviews and saw pictures that people posted on yelp and google. I wanted to check it out myself. When I finally found the location, I saw a big water fountain and parked in the parking lot on the right side . I had to walk to the building through the sliding door and the coffee bar was located to the left hand side. I think the location is in a nice quiet area, business-techy, workspace environment, and the building is LEED certified. The baristas welcomed me and asked me if had any questions. I ordered a cup of cappuccino. I had an option to sit inside or outside (plenty of seating areas). I enjoyed my cup of cappuccino on the dock. I should of brought a light jacket because it was a breezy morning. After i finished drinking my cappuccino, I walked around the lake. I don't know the distance around the lake, but it felt really nice to walk around it. There were other people walking around too. I will definitely bring my little dog next time. If you have kids, I don't recommend bringing kids here because there are no rails to protect them from falling into the water. I have been going to Roundhouse Marketplace for lunch on occasion but never been to the coffee bar. It's located when you walk in the entrance past the reception area, before the doors that lead you to the (man-made) lake. They feature coffee by Equator Coffee and also offer tea. Drinks can be made hot or iced. There are baked goods available, but on this visit, I just had a chai latte which was pretty good. I can see why people work from here. Why not? Access to coffee, food, wifi and lake views is worth it. read more

I mean take the solid Equator coffee and meh looking food out of the equation, THE VIEWS, the peacefulness, the quiet! I came here to meet some colleagues for a co-working session. The place was empty, the internet was strong, and we sat outside in the shade on the banks (somewhat banks) of this beautiful man-made lake. Hidden in the corporate buildings of Bishop Ranch adjacent to City Center, this is a gem with both inside and outside seating to work from in this area. They have all your coffee needs, and they had some limited pastries and some hot items under a heat lamp like a breakfast burrito and egg sandwich. Those hot items didn't look too appealing (not sure how long they were sitting there), if I'm gonna be honest, but the coffee was solid. Only caveat: be mindful when it closes. We ended up going to get dinner at City Center until about 5:30, and we got locked out and had to schlep to find an exit. Overall, five stars for ambiance. read more

What a great hidden gem! Don't let some reviews scare you, it's not hard to find. I wrote it up in apple maps and it was exactly right. Plenty of parking on a weekday. It definitely does have a corporate or even hotel lobby like vibe but this view! So quiet and awesome space to get some work in. I had an iced vanilla latte, not the best I've ever had but I'm also not mad about it. Baristas were sweet and recommended a matcha latte, I'll have to try that next time. Be aware of their hours! They close the lobby doors around 4 (I think) and it is quite the adventure to go around the building back to the parking lot! read more

Wow, I didn't even know this place existed in San Ramon until recently. What a hidden gem! It was kind of hard to find it because it's literally behind the corporate building (you can't see it from the parking lot). Check Google Maps for the exact location once you get to the parking lot. There are visitor parking spots right outside of SAP. They don't have a lot of choices on the menu, but most of the essentials are on there. I got a matcha latte and an oatmeal cranberry cookie and they were good (especially the cookie!). Prices are reasonable; the staff was friendly and welcoming. The view was spectacular. Lakeside Coffeebar is truly a hidden gem and has become one of my favorite quiet places to work. It is a tad bit difficult to find- I recommend parking at the visitor parking and walking into the complex from the closest entrance (under the large Roundhouse sign). Lakeside Coffee has some of the most reasonably priced coffee in the area- it's not amazing but it's still hits the spot. I've enjoyed their vanilla latte and also a few of their seasonal drinks. If you come during the summer, I would recommend the mint matcha! The cafe is open until 3 PM prior to shifting into a mini bar with beers, wines and snacks ($3 unlimited popcorn!) There's plenty of seating and outlets indoors but the best view is indeed outside next to the lake. Make sure to finish off your coffee on the other side of the lake while lounging on the grass and watching the ducks! read more

I saw dogs onsite, so looks like pet owners are ok walking their dogs or sitting inside the coffee bar as they desire. Great place to work, study, and/or meet up with others. But they're still really fun, as long as you don't mind rowing. Oh, and it's not really a lake--it's just a pond. This is a nice little coffee bar with a beautiful view of the pond. This is the second time I have been here, and each time the people have been super friendly and helpful. Of course, they have various types of coffee specials and small pastry items. But here's the real news: happy hour starts at 4:00! At 4 you get beers for $4. They also have a good selection of wine at very reasonable prices. I purchased a Racer IPA, which was just what the doctor ordered after a long, stressful day of writing insightful reviews. My heart jumped when I saw that they had big warm pretzels. They are $3. This is a hidden gem!!! The GPS takes you a weird way but just go up to the main area where you'll be a big, magical fountain & park to the right of that! You'll walk to the big sliding doors & it's all the way to the back on the left, you can't miss it! The view is incredible, there's fast WiFi & it's a very relaxing environment! Perfect coffee stop in the midst of running errands or after an exercise class in the San Ramon area. It's hidden but you are in the right spot if you see Roundhouse. The have limited choices for breakfast, parties, and can't modify them by taking out certain items like cheese since the are pre-made. So I was only able to try their vanilla oat milk latte. This place wasn't a challenge to find, it was actually impossible unless you are working for one of the corporations located at the complex. Not a single door could be entered without a badge and there was not a single sign. Guard at AT&T said to go around the back side of the building and even then we could not find it. Had to simply go elsewhere. Some information on how to get to it while not working at the complex would be helpful. read more

This is a great little coffee bar in the Bishop Ranch business complex. The staff is very friendly. The assortment is somewhat limited but it's basically a coffee stand so that can be expected. Their pastry selection is somewhat different than the chain coffee places. You'll find interesting pastries here. I can't speak to their coffee but their chai is excellent. My only complaint would be that it tend not to be hot enough. After ordering you can sit outside and enjoy the lake. I just finished my first chai and I'm thinking of going back for another. Prices are very reasonable. Sizes are smaller than at most places. Their large would be considered a medium at most places. read more

San Ramon is overflowing with Starbucks and Peet's. Seriously, overflowing. Don't get me wrong, I tend to visit those chains but if I want to grab a real deal caffeine boost (since I do work in the Bishop Ranch area) Lakeside Coffee Bar is where it's at and where I feel like I'm getting the most value for my dollar. You can get coffee, tea, or pastries here and it's located in BR2600! It's not within the food court area, but where the lobby is. I've had my fair share of lattes and chai lattes (regular and dirty) & I have to say I am impressed with the quality! They use high quality beans and every sip tastes like a true delight. The baristas are great at their craft and also very friendly! I'll definitely return when I need that extra boost or just feel like feeding my growing caffeine addiction! The coffee here is good, and the prices are also good. What's most fascinating about this place is the location--the lobby of a conference center in the huge Bishop Ranch business park. The Roundhouse looks a bit like a cross between a business hotel and a 1970s science fiction movie setting whose designers were convinced circles were the future. Circular buildings, light fixtures, chairs, you name it. (Bonus points for the Mobius strip park bench outside the building.) Lakeside is only open until 3pm and only open on weekdays, but if you happen to be in the San Ramon area post-lunch, it can be a surprisingly great place to camp out and work with a good cup of coffee: the lobby tends to be relatively quiet, the seating area has free wifi and plenty of outlets, and it's a gorgeous view. You could even eat in the Roundhouse's food court (really) for lunch; they also apparently have a happy hour at 4pm certain weekdays if you stick around. read more

Finally, some quality coffee in San Ramon, and one building over from my office building! Lakeside Coffee Bar is definitely a welcome addition to the Bishop Ranch business park. Located within Roundhouse at BR2600, they serve hot coffee, cold brew, lattes, and teas from Equator Coffee (an organic, fair trade coffee roaster and tea purveyor from Marin County). I ordered a 12 oz latte ($3.25). The barista poured the milk foam into a beautiful work of latte art. At first sip, the latte was too hot (steamed milk was too hot), but once the latte cooled a bit, the latte was enjoyable. The espresso was smooth and light. The baristas were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They offer fresh pastries, yogurt and other drinks as well. Their pastries are lined up neatly in the display case, and the entire area was kept very clean. I'm happy Lakeside Coffee is here! I'd be happy to return, regularly. read more
