Pretty dang good chicken gyro. i like the way the chicken is cut. plenty of grilled onions which i love as well. I usually don't love tomato but it was juicy and added good flavor. Tzatziki sauce is not great. i think they make it with sour cream as opposed to greek yogurt. it's just a bit bland. pita is good. i wouldn't sit in the store and eat, it's more of a takeout place. overall i will be going back and having it again to try more things! wish they still sold baba ghanoush! read more

It was a really bad experience. I ordered via UberEats, because the food would be delivered in 20min and I paid extra to get it faster, but it took 1 hour to be ready!!!! 1 hour + delivery. I ordered a Gyro sandwich and a loaded bbq and cheese fries. The sandwich quality was fair, but not enough after been paid $16, the fries taste was terrible, and overprice. So I happen to pass by this place to see what they had to offer. Menu seem decent and the place didn't look dirty. So I ordered me some boneless wings with fries. Thier wings weren't bad, although I was a bit disappointed in thier servings of wings because they could of serve me a bit more. I was left wanting to have more than what they serve me. Thier fries were okay. So my review on this place is that thier food is not the greatest, but it's not bad either. It's okay. This restaurant has only been open a month so I am baking that into the rating. PROS: -Affordable - most items range from $5 to $9 -Friendly staff CONS: -Fairly long wait time for lunch service -Out of both chicken wings and boneless (aka nugggets) wings LOCATION: Located in a small strip center on W Kennedy between Habana and Armenia. Parking is limited on the front side though more is available in the back. FOOD: Though "gyros" is prominently in the title, they maybe make up one half of the menu choices. Combo plates and chicken wings fill out most of the rest but there are individual pizza, sub, burger and salad choices, as well. I intended to order the gyro and chicken wing combo only to learn they were completely out of all their chicken products...odd...so I went with just a gyro/fries/drink combo ($7). Once the meal was ready, more on that later, I was pleased with the serving portions. The gyro was on the large side as was the order of fries. Unfortunately, for the gyro, quantity did not meet quality. The pita was both stale (dry and a bit brittle) and a little too toasted. It was noticeable enough to overshadow what were decent innards. The fries were also well-done but in this case it is how I prefer them and they were seasoned well. Drinks are only can & bottle soda/water. With missing chicken and overcooked pita, only 2 Stars for Food. SERVICE: On my lunch visit, there were 3 other diners - one with a large to-go order. I was greeted as soon as I walked in by the single employee behind the counter and he took my order pretty quickly. However, for a simple gyro and fries the wait time for my food was long for those conscious about their lunch hour. The service was friendly and polite though. On average, 3 for Service. VALUE: I think this is the strong point of the visit. The pizzas, subs, gyros and salads all come in under $7. The combo plates run from $5.5 - $9. Wings run form $5.25 (6pcs) to $19.99 (24 pcs). Being a little generous size despite the stale bread...4 Stars for Value. ATMOSPHERE: This restaurant is long and narrow with just 5 two-top tables so takeout orders are probably the expectation. It's not much to look at but clean. 3 Stars for Atmosphere. Even though I wasn't totally wow'd, I'd probably come back to try the wings and give the gyro another shot. I had Combo #5 today which was a gyro and 5 hot wings. The gyro was fresh and the hot wings were average. Zeko's off of Busch Blvd has better gyros though. But the food was decent, no complaints other than the restaurant being sketchy looking. read more

I think they are only open for dinner now. I'm pretty pleased with the Gyro. No better or worse than Salam's and I think the only thing they could do is make more interesting fires to distinguish themselves. Like curlys or something. I know it's not traditional but a way to stand out. I didn't have to wait at all and the gentleman who made my food brought it next door as I browsed the clothing store. Also I was less sketched out than I am when I go to Salam's. So kudos. read more

My husband and i have been eating LaLas food for 22 years now. I has my first meal from him back in 94 when he was at the gyros on 40th and Hillsborough.He is one of the nicest guys I have ever met.Always greets us with a warm smile and great conversation. His food is always delicious and plentiful. The hot wings and gizzards are my favorite but the gyros both lamb and chicken are also delicious I think I've eaten every meal off the menu. Great value for To Go orders of $5 gyros, $7 Shishkabas, and $6 Greek salad. They also have wings, salads, and burgers for under $8 but I haven't tried those. They really should expand their Mediterranean food options. The decor is no frills and that of a typical fast food place. There is no table service or alcohol available. You place and pickup your order in the same spot. There are 5 small 2 person tables for dine in. Definitely not a place to take a date or large group of people. Their gyros are very large, well seasoned, and they offer good hot sauce to go with it. Conveniently located off Kennedy Blvd near Soho. If you want better Greek fast food you can go to Little Greece in Westshore Mall which is further away and doesn't offer to go orders. If you want a larger selection of Mediterranean food at a sit-down place with alcohol, I recommend Acropolis in ybor which is also not too close to the Soho Area. Parking can be limited during the day with several other businesses in the same business center. At night parking is never a problem. Everything is made fresh and usually doesn't take longer than 6-7 minutes! :) read more

I recently ordered from LaLa's thru Uber eats and I ordered pita w hummus, hamburger and chicken sandwich. It arrived very fast which was great but the food was really bad and they made 2 chicken sandwiches and no hamburger which I really wanted. I called the store immediately and the manager said oh sorry I thought it was 2 chicken sandwiches? I said well can you make me a hamburger and deliver it? He responded oh no sorry? Very disappointed and the chicken sandwich was bland and had ton of mayo, pita was cold and hummus didn't smell good. Had to throw out the whole meal. Smh. Suffice to say, there are few better deals around than the $5.99 Gyro at LaLa's. Choose from lamb, steak, or chicken; they're all excellent. Fresh ingredients, and the tzatziki is nice and thick. Open later than most places and conveniently located on Kennedy just west of Armenia. Look for their occasional coupon in the Flyer to save a buck or two. read more

My friend and I got 2 chicken gyros, and the 30 wings and fries deal. We both got the runs. Aside of the the gyros were plain, the wings were over cooked and the sauce was odd tasting, very sweet for a buffalo sauce. The fries were okay. I couldn't help but notice the open tub of chicken sitting in the sink, and the plastic bags full of what looked like to be chicken wings... I wish I had seen it before we got our order. Saw the deal out front for 30 wings and fries for $20. The wing sauce had some heat and just a little hint of sweet, definitely heavy on the butter. Fries were good, bonus points for brown bagging em and keeping them crispy. Today I entered this establishment with hopes a of a good gyro, but the end result was beyond disappointing. There was one other customer when I entered, so my next comments are not justified by being too busy. I ordered a gyro and wings. It wasn't until I was waiting there for 15 minutes until I saw them start cutting the gyro meat. At this point, I am already frustrated. I then waited for another 15-20 mins as they prepared "my order" (during this wait time, there was 2 additional orders placed). I walked out of the place very upset, as anyone would be considering the type of restaurant this is, the order should take 15 mins at the most. As I get home to open my food, I find that they of course did not put a gyro in my bag, but rather some crumbly meatball pita sandwich. As frustrated as I was, I decided that I would attempt to eat this in replacement, but sadly, I took one bite and couldn't continue - extremely dry even with tzatziki sauce. The wings topped it off as being extremely below par. The meat was tough and there was no flavor.. I would suggest that no one goes here unless you want to wait for over 30 mins and be sadly disappointed with the service, and even worse, the food quality. Shoulda ate a snickers.... read more
