Heard of this place through blogto and decided to check it out since it was close by my house. The flavours I got were milk tea, hazelnut, cookies and cream, and matcha and oreos. Ordered in store and took about ten minutes, but the donuts were warm and fresh. They were very chewy and not too sweet, honestly do not have anything bad to say about them. Came back a second time and tried other flavours like vanilla bean coffee, creme brûlée and black sesame. My personal favourites would have to be milk tea and creme brûlée. Also gave some to my friend who was trying mochi donuts for the first time and they loved it so much! Definitely give these donuts a try, there are many flavours to choose from and 3.65 each or 22/half a dozen and 40/dozen. Will definitely be back when I'm craving mochi donuts! read more

This place is so good! I heard of it before, never get a chance to try until 3 weeks ago. We got 6 to try and my kids clean it out with 30mins, so we bought 12 this time (just couple days ago), it's a bit too much this time so we put in the fridge after 2nd day. When we eat, we left it outside in room temperature for a bit and eat, it's still very chewy, amazing! My son has severe tree nut allergy and they are very careful about that. I'm gonna come back for sure again for his bday to make him the Pokémon donut! Another place for him to eat besides ice cream cake. read more

The tacos were chewy and sweet but compared to other locations it was just all right. I felt there could've been more tapioca flour in the batter to make it more chewy. It seems that they were either understaffed or didn't prepare in an enough in advance because many people had to wait for a while for the donuts. The customer service was alright, I actually pre-ordered 8 and only gave me 7 (not a big deal mistakes happen). Each flavor wasn't very distinctive it all really just tasted sweet. In the Oreos toppings became stale. Not saying these donuts were bad but compared to many other locations this would rank at the bottom. read more

I've only tried mochi donuts twice in my life so I don't have much to compare to but the box that was gifted to me from here was yummy. I liked how light and airy they tasted and each flavour really stood out. You can preorder online and there's so many flavours to choose from. I especially like the black sesame, matcha Oreo (bomb) and vanilla coffee bean. They weren't too sweet and I didn't feel like I had a cavity after like how I do when I eat a regular donut. Super cute donuts and the store owner dips it fresh on the spot for you. Didn't expect this place hidden in a strip mall but it was worth the trip. The Mochi donuts here are chewy and there are a ton of flavors too. The strawberry ones tastes especially like jam, so that's probably my favourite. The cheesecake ones are really good too. They even stay chewy overnight in the fridge which was a plus. read more

Mochi donuts have been a big foodie bucket list, DO NUT worry, I finally got some! These donuts are not only a-DOUGH-rable, but they are so tasty too! The texture of the donut is crispy on the outside and the texture is chewy + light (just like mochi ) on the inside. Mochi donut are better than Regular donuts!! Some of our donuts were a fresh batch and let me tell you if you can get them hot, get them HOT, it makes them sooo much better. Another mochi donut place opened up in my neighborhood so I decided to check it out. I was pretty happy that these were made to order. I waited about 5 minutes to get them and was so excited to have hot and fresh mochi donuts! Unfortunately I have to say I was very disappointed! I tried the black sesame first and my first impression was stale oil. I tried really hard to ignore it, but it was so overpowering that even the black sesame glaze couldn't hide it. Compared to other mochi donut places I've tried, the black sesame flavour was not very strong. The vanilla bean coffee definitely had a stronger flavor cuz it was able to hide the stale oil taste. My least favourite were probably the golden strawberry and mango mania... I think because of the type of glaze it made the donut feel very moist... almost too moist. Couldn't really taste the matcha in the matcha Oreo because I think the Oreo overpowered the matcha/the matcha was never very strong to begin with. The hazelnut one also didn't taste as advertised. Overall the flavours I tried today were not very strong and the fact that all I could taste was stale oil really put me off. I don't think I will be coming back again as there are better options close by. read more

I've been dying to try this place for a very long time and finally decided to come give it a try. The store was a bit confusing to find as the address didn't match up to where the store location was. The person working there was pretty friendly and did tell me about there products and gave me time to pick out my flavours. The mochi donuts were spectacular! I loved them. I love the texture of how chewy , soft and donut-like they were. Only downside to it was that I felt that some of the glazing were a tad too sweet for my liking and it did run and got really messy everywhere. -- maybe I could tell them to go easy on the glazing. Overall I would definitely recommend and come back! (They also give you a 10% discount for boba boy but I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place at all!) read more

This place was in an odd Indian indoor mall with an Indian supermarket. They are in a store at the back of the food court. Their Mochi donuts are very similar to the ones I had in the US. I have been wanting to try mochi donuts for almost a year now after seeing them on Instagram. I was so happy this establishment opened up closer to home (comparatively to the ones in Downtown Toronto) and I couldn't wait to try it. One of my very kind family friends actually surprised my family with a box of donuts from here and let me tell you... I was NOT disappointed. The texture of these donuts are so soft, chewy and bouncy. They're not like your regular donut as it those tend to be more bread-y and dough-y, while these feel more like bouncy and chewy. I tried six flavours, pina colada, cookies and cream, chocolate, strawberry, pistachio and matcha cookies and cream. My favourite was the matcha cookies and cream! I do have to say the only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because the glaze is a little too sweet for my liking. This is solely just personal preference and I know a lot of people would disagree! I would definitely buy these donuts myself because overall, they were so delicious! read more

A friend gave us a box of mochi donuts for Christmas. It was my first time trying mochi donuts and they literally taste 50% mochi and 50% donut. I really liked the texture of these as they were definitely like a chewy mochi. I've tried 2 flavours so far - the chocolate glaze and mango. The mango was very fruity and went well with the donut. As for the chocolate, I think it would be better if the chocolate flavour in the glaze was stronger. Also, the donuts are not oily at all which is a plus. read more

My go to spot when I am getting ready to go to a guests house! Very good locals spot. I am always craving la mochi donut. La mochi has always been consistent in their quality and delivery of service. Just the right amount of crunchiness and not too sweet that I look for in a mochi donut. I wish they brought back their double shot raspberry lol. No tax after half dozen box. I would try every flavour! I have tried each of them. My personal preference..I really liked the milk tea and cookies n creme. I would call ahead to order instead of ordering online for faster. Make sure to leave the donuts indoors (they don't last well outside environments, ie. humidity etc). I'm so glad they now have a much convenient location (sky city plaza , midland finch)! read more

Disappointing and frustrating. I called in to place an order a couple times now and the same employee who answered two of the times could not speak English well at all and could not communicate well. The first time I called to inquire about a custom order for Mother's Day and she had no knowledge. I asked her to take down my name and phone number and have her manager or whoever is in charge of custom orders to call me back to see if that would be possible. I never heard back and called again a week later and got a different employee who was able to help me place an order and also give me more information about the custom order I was planning to proceed with. This employee gave me a quote for the custom order and said I can call back to place the order once I've confirmed. I called back today and I got the same employee as the first time who could not speak English well and did not understand my order. She could not proceed without asking her coworker and when I informed her that I spoke to someone last Saturday at 1:30pm about the order and quote she said no one told you this and none of my coworkers said they told you this price. I do not appreciate being accused of lying when an employee told me a quote. This is extremely unprofessional and they need to re-evaluate their system and employees that they have answering the phone. There is nothing worse than poor customer service. read more
