I stayed working with Lamps Plus because of the genuineness and personal customer service I received from Linda Wright. She was extremely helpful in selecting outdoor, indoor kitchen and bath lighting fixtures, and 4 kitchen counter chairs. When I couldn't find fixtures on display that worked, Linda helped me to locate brands and styles in various name brand catalogs. I found her to be very professional, current with design trends and technically knowledgeable in all aspects of lighting. Excellent customer service that I find lacking in other businesses. Ordered 2 outdoor lights (on sale). One was to be delayed. I contacted them and expressed concern that they were matching items, and wanted either both or none. They searched through their store inventory, and pulled one to be shipped to me. Another order-received wrong item. They sent me a return label and said the product could be picked up at my house. Also sent the correct item right away. No-hassle return. Also broke one of 3 shades on a lamp. My fault-I knocked it over-which I stated in the request to purchase a replacement shade. They sent me one at no charge. Said they wanted mt to be happy. One star only because it isn't possible to give less. Terrible customer service, overpriced mediocre products, inaccurate information online... on it goes. They kept telling me that having a cord stick out of the side of a "designer" lamp inches above the base and as visible as the bolt in the neck of Dr. Frankenstein's monster is an industry standard that doesn't need to be shown or mentioned in any way online. They definitely show the SHADOW OF THE CORD online but not the cord itself. In case you are wondering, it also isn't "industry standard" to leave the shadow of the cord in but not surprisingly they didn't have anything to say about that. I was literally contacted by a new customer service rep for each email sent which ultimately resulted in my being in communication with at least 7 different employees at the same time for the same case. There's nothing "standard" about using 7 different employees to handle one customer service case. The one thing they have proven is that they hold their customers to a standard that they don't themselves adhere to. Don't waste your time heading in or ordering online. They are not a verified seller from Amazon either so you will have to deal directly if you have a problem. This is exactly the type of business technology was supposed to lay by the wayside. I hope it comes soon for these clowns. read more

The Store Manager is great! I have been purchasing lightings from this place since 2013 for my different home remodeling projects! One of my bathroom light was dead for no reason after 1 year of usage, the store manager stood behind their products and immediately issued a lighting replacement for me within 1 day. Horrible customer service. They misquote stock and after you drive 25 miles have no explanation as why the product is not in physical stock. Worse still, they seem to hardly care and offer no apology or compensation. Avoid this location if you can. read more

I am so happy with the service I received here! I had ordered a lamps plus chandelier and it was delayed in its delivery from FedEx. I had an appointment with an electrician to install and the chandelier still had not shown up. I went to the Stevens Creek store and talked with the manager Casey and he helped to make everything all right. I felt so well taken care of and I will definitely return to give lamps plus my business as much as I can due to this wonderful interaction. Sara went above and beyond the call of duty when she helped me not only get a light fixture as quickly as possible. ( I had the electrician working at home already) but also helped me find and gave me complimentary the missing parts for the light fixture I had bought from Crate and Barrel. I have missed this helpfulness in staff as more and more people working in stores have no idea about how merchandise works. She helped me fix a problem and advised me a work around as well. On 12/29/19, I placed an over the phone order for a chandelier with the plan to pick up item at this location. Blossom Hill location did not have it and advised if I provide my credit card to place chandelier on hold, my card would not get charged until I arrive to pick up item at Stevens Creek location. Upon arriving to store to pick up chandelier (which cost $546.-), my mother and I were greeted by sales representative Samantha. She was extremely nice and helpful. Initially we planned on picking up chandelier, but then we saw another chandelier which we loved. We thought it would be an easy transaction to just cancel the other order and purchase the one we seen in store. Afterall, I was told my card was not charged. Let me state, if you are told that your card will not be charged and will just have funds placed on hold. This is FALSE!!! Our card was charged twice and when we confronted the store manager Nick he also advised our card was not charged. Well, if my mother and I are looking at our online banking account and it reflects that. I think I'm going to believe what I see on my account. Nick simply advised that it may take a day. My mother called the following day and spoke with Barbara and she wasn't helpful either. She suggested we call the bank. However, the bank advised it is LampsPlus responsibility to correct this. Needless to say, we were just going in circles and nothing has been resolved. Today, we are still trying to get the refunds reversed and now are being told it could take up fo 5 business days. Mgr Brian was not helpful and the staff just appears to have "oh well" mentality. Apparently, these people to care because it's not there money. When I requested corporate contact number Mgr Brian hung up. I called back and it was provided by other staff. Initially what we thought was a good experience buying a chandelier after remodeling our home. Has now turned into a real bad experience!!!! I will never do business with this company. I still need other lighting fixtures for my home. But I will not do business with this company. Buyer beware if you buy something and expect a refund, God knows how long that will take. It appears based on reviews, I'm not the only one who has experienced issues. I have called corporate to escalate this issue. CEO Dennis Swanson and CFO Manja Swanson should read this. I went in looking for outdoor lights to go next to my front door and in front of my home. I was greeted right away by kahlani and she said she was finishing with a customer but would be right with me. I said not to worry because we wanted to look around first. Once we found some we liked, Kahlani came back over to help us. She was super knowledgeable about all the lights and even the inventory. We needed photocell on our lights but we liked a light that did not have photocell. She was able to give us all different options of what we could buy or what we could do. She told us about lightbulbs that we could buy that basically do the same as the photocell and can turn on and off automatically with daytime or night time. I didn't even know that existed! She did not have 3 lights in the store so she said she could have them shipped to my house in a week or less. She checked us out and we were out super quickly! Best experience at a lighting store we have had or even a retail store. We will be back for all of our other lighting needs and maybe some accessories. read more

They sell really cheap lamps if you catch them at a sale. Theirs a large selection and the staff was friendly.

Gosh, I do not even know how this chain survives with horrible process, validation and orders. 1. We ordered couple of vanity lights and were informed, we should get them in couple of weeks. No response after the order. On calling them, they realise, none of what we order is in stock and have been discontinued! 2. We order again. Same thing, except, only one light is backordered, so they cancel it automatically via text. Second light comes in brushed nickle instead of chrome and we cannot return it! They will charge us stocking fee 3. After 10+weeks, I get a pending charge on my credit card for all the orders that they had cancelled/back ordered or discontinued. Threatening me that they cannot cancel my orders and I will need to pay restocking fee! Pure harassment and worse customer experience. read more

She helped me find the perfect light fixtures for a high end listing in Monte Monte Sereno I am preparing for sale. After trying a number of the online resources that I always use that are retail and trade and was not able to find anything at all that was great style, function and availability was a huge problem. I need it within one week!!! We needed 2 ceiling light fixtures during covid so I looked online and then ordered through the store. I needed something fast so it had to be in stock at the store. You can easily identify which ones are in stock at the store because it will say, "ships today" online. The lady who helped me at the store was Bani and she was great. I did curbside pickup with Bani and even returned one curbside which Lisa helped me with. Super easy, very pleasant experience. And the lights are gorgeous. read more

We never got helped or even got asked for help and we passed by employees many times who were not even busy. Got a sweet deal on a modern Asian looking floor lamp as part of their ongoing summer sale. Yes, it can be difficult to get service here (can you say understaffed?) so I recommend playing hooky on your lunch hour and going late morning to mid afternoon to beat the after work circus. And the Russian manager dude was quite friendly, professional, and just all around helpful. read more

My mom paid $45 for their delivery service. She performed errands all day long and came home to a huge box on her front door steps. With some effort, she pushed the box in, opened it up - and it was her armchair! The company never called or emailed her and did they request a drop off day. My mom complained to management and questioned why they did not require a person to sign for the delivery and why did they dropped off the furniture without coordinating with her. She reminded them that she cannot lift heavy furniture and is 72! The manager said, "It's not our policy to require a signature." Excuse me, dropping off furniture and leaving it at the door in a huge apartment complex could have resulted in neighbors stealing and at the very least, a petite grandmother who can't move the furniture indoors! Do not go here. They give such bad delivery service. read more

This lighting store has a pretty good selection of different lighting fixtures. Outdoor, ceiling, wall, floor torches, desktop, etc. The prices are pretty reasonable, as everything is tagged with sales prices much lower than the original (whether or not they ever sold it at original prices!). The service is fairly knowledgable and helpful, although it can be busy, with a lot of people asking questions, so you have to wait your turn. They do have several PCs where you can look up different fixtures and get more specs. Returning a defective floor lamp, the service was straight foward and problem free. A choice of replacement or refund was promptly offered. read more

I ordered a lamp from them about two weeks ago (employees are only nice when you're "purchasing" something). Came into the store to pick it up, was dissatisfied with the lamp after seeing it in person, and decided to return it the same day while we were there. Unfortunately, we were helped by this lady with long brown hair and glasses (on a Saturday afternoon). She was completely rude to us just because we were "returning" something! Wtf? If I'm not satisfied with your product, then give me my money back! Well, I didn't say that, tried to be polite, etc. She makes someone else help us with the return and kind of tosses the papers at my face. I'm thinking, "You stupid b**ch!" Now that I think of it, I wish I actually said that aloud. I'm not one to curse at people, but this lady was terrible. She should be fired. She can't do a simple return? C'mon, woman! Bottom line: Don't come here if you may decide to return an item that you're dissatisfied with unless you want to put up with a bad attitude. And, please curse them out for me if they do attempt to treat you badly. read more

Horrible service! I also give 1 star for the lamps selection that they have, but be extra careful when you buy stuff from them. I bought 1 single floor lamp at their store and took it home with me. After mounting the lamp, I realized it wasn't working, so I went back to the store the day after to get a replacement, and they didn't have it in stock, so I asked for a refund, and they said they could give it to me once I handed the card with wich I bought it with. Are you serious? In no other stores they have never asked me for the original credit card for a refund! I did not have the credit card with me, cause I it was my husband who bought it. I asked them if they could give me the refund in cash or in my credit card . They said it was impossible. IMPOSSIBLE? really? After trying to solve this problem for almost 2 hours talking to them and trying to figure out a way to have a lamp right on that day, I agreed on having store credit and come back the week after to get my lamp. The week after came, and I called them. Another 1 hour on the phone because they made a mess and they had no idea of what happened to me, long story short, they did not ask for the lamp for me so it wasn't in stock still.There it goes... another week without any lamp on my office. Besides all these problems that I had (Not being able to get a refund for a DEFECTED lamp). What really pisses me off is how they treat people and how SLOW they are. They are very impolite and not prepared to work with costumers. They have even put my husband and I on hold on the phone without giving us any notice, just because my husband was getting nervous with them for how they were treating us on the phone (See, they did not hang up on us, just put us on hold so that they wouldn't have to listen to my husband's complains... 3rd grade much?). After all, the lady called me back and said they will order the lamp for next week. Hopefully that one won't be defected, and hopefully when I get there next week I won't have to spend hours to get what I want: a simple floor lamp! UPDATE: They got the lamp, called me to go pick up. I asked if they could assemble it to me, since I did not want to get home and realize I got another non working lamp. She replied: "Sorry, no one has time for doing this to you right now". read more

This place is cool. There's a huge selection of lighting ranging in price anywhere from $50 to over a $1000! The nice thing too is they are more likely to be able to order you a replacement for a broken part than at Home Depot. The salesman Levi helped me check on the availability on a replacement part, which is important if I'm going to spend $250 on a floor lamp that could break if I move! You do kind of have to hunt a guy down to help you, but once you keep looking and staring they get the point that you need help and come over, haha. Levi was very helpful in advising what sort of lighting would be best for my living room, and so I ended up going with a torch style instead of a floor lamp with a shade (only good for a small area). He also listened to what I wanted without me having to repeat myself over and over again. read more
