We set an appointment to test drive a truck & travelled 30 miles to get there. When we arrived, "Diamond Bill" was nowhere to be found. After waiting 15 min or so, I had to go in to find out if someone else could help us. They finally found someone, but Bill was still gone. The truck was filthy, I mean disgustingly filthy! The salesman claimed they sell them so fast they can't keep up with detailing them. (Its a week later now & the truck hasn't sold) So, I look beyond the filth, go for a ride, like the truck, want to buy & they won't make me a deal. They wouldn't budge at all on the horribly low price they offered for my car. They wasted my afternoon & I left as a customer who will never return. I've since made a trade at a small, woman-owned car dealer who gave me almost $2,000 more than these rip off's offered & I am happily a Ford truck owner again. P.S. 3-4 days later, "Diamond Bill" emails me to see if he can answer any questions about the truck! Clueless about customer service!! Don't waste your time here!!! read more

I brought my 1996 Ford truck in for a brake check. I was shopping around for prices and needed another quote for front brakes. A friend had recommended Landmark Ford ( my first mistake). I was working with Steve Morales, the Gold team. I showed him a quote from another business, which he tossed aside. I left the truck there and he called later that day and quoted $315.00 for brakes. He then called me later and then told me the the pistons inside the calipers were cracked and that would cost me another $340.00. He left those messages on my voice mail. He said I gave him permission to go ahead with the job, which I do not recall doing. I called the next morning and told Steve I thought the cost too high. He said the job was 80 % done at 8:00 a.m. I did give him permission at that time. When we picked up the truck that day there was a thumping noise going on and it pulled to the right and left. I took it back to have checked out. They said they test drove the truck. They then said the radius arm bushings were worn and it was unsafe to drive. Costing another $500.00. I picked up the truck without having any other work done. Steve Morales was not there that day. I took it to another shop and they said bushings were fine. I called Steve later and complained about the high costs and he said the cost would not be changed. He told me it was like complaining about a meal that was already consumed. Too late! My bill for having new front disc brakes was $871.00. I believe about $371.00 too much! And that was with senior discounts. I will never recommend Landmark Ford for any service. Yvonne J. read more

I will give this 2 stars only as the team leader had effort. The rest of the service team must be drunk, or just don't give a damn. Dropped the vehicle the night before for heating issues, of which it had no signs of heater core leaks, etc. Item fixed not warranty, battery was a bit old (this is a 2012 vehicle). All said and done. Leave go drive as they rotated tires and oil change as well. No problems...wait the backup camera now intermittently works....that ends up being a warranty item but $100 deduct...again they bring the truck out....hood is not latched. Call as I am driving out, as I don't want to even talk about another over site....hold, transfer, hold, transfer, oh the Service Manager picked up the wrong line. Really? Just say they can't take your call now, later...ever. Well if he can't use a phone I could see how others (not all) might not be able to ensure things are functional before you leave the vehicle with the customer. Again the service lead I think tried but is limited....the front desk and cashiers are super friendly, the girl screening the calls needs to be firm, more clear or just. If the don't pull their workmanship's head from their ass they will have nobody to be nice to. I think I will take my business elsewhere. This was just really bad attention to details, on a day that now cost me really twice given the time off work that would have only been a 1/2 day if they would have simply been detailed. UPDATE: Service Director (SD) read my review and called me immediately. Very professional and asked if I would give him a chance to resolve my service needs. He was well-informed and sincere in helping me with my recall. After my call with him, I was at the dealership within couple hours for the recall and couple other minor issues. He greeted me personally and checked in with me every 30mins with an update while I waited for my car. I also learned that Landmark is a family-owned business and the level of service I received from the SD reflects it. He has been with this dealership for 30 years. I am glad I gave this dealership another chance. I sincerely believe he takes customer service seriously and will continue to do his best to ensure all his customers are well-served. Called to schedule appointment for a recall. Service rep did not listen at all and told me to call back with recall #. I called back Monday to speak to another advisor. She was nice, put me on hold then passed me off to the parts department since she couldn't find the recall in her system. I spoke to the parts dept, guy puts me on-hold for a couple mins and got back on the phone to tell me he needs to get back to me. Another guy calls and leaves me a message. I called him back, he said he needed my VIN and will call me back once he figured out the parts for the recall. Gave him my VIN and recall #. I called him back 4 times in the past week (5-7 days can't remember) and no return calls. I went to another dealer in town, parts guy knew exactly which recall, sent me to an advisor to schedule appt, which would allow him to get the parts in 2 days. Took me 3 mins. The service department at Landmark Ford is the most unprofessional, incompetent bunch of idiots I have ever encountered. I took my Ford Taurus in for a tune-up. My guy was in the tan team. They finished the tune-up and were taking my car on a quick test drive. During the brief test drive they blew the engine. They told me it was my fault because I was not changing the oil and filter every 1500 miles and it gunked up the engine. The service manager even called and told me if I don't get my f**king car off the lot they were going to start charging me for storage. Don't take your car to Landmark for Service or hire any mechanics that worked for Landmark. Not good people. read more

Of the thirteen vehicles that I have owned over the years, buying one of them from Landmark Ford turned out to be one of the better experiences I have encountered at an automotive dealership. Most of this was due to sales rep Jeff Sleight. Negotiating a deal with him for a C-Max Energi with a trade-in was relatively painless. I got close to what I was aiming for without too much haggling. He gave me a tour of the parts and service departments, and while waiting a few weeks for my special order vehicle to arrive, he called several times as promised to update me on it's progress. After I received the vehicle, Jeff called a couple more times to check on my satisfaction and was readily available when I called him with some additional questions. As for the Energi itself, after almost two weeks of ownership, for the most part it is meeting, and in some cases exceeding, my expectations of it. I am extremely pleased overall. Everything works, nothing has fallen off yet. The only nitpick I can come up with is some really minor flaws in the exterior finish and one in the interior. Most anyone else would probably never even notice them, but I've always been a stickler for detail. Anyway, after the honeymoon wears off we'll see how things go. But this vehicle is starting out so well that things would have to go south pretty far before I got disappointed and I doubt this is going to happen. The same goes for Landmark Ford itself. I've gotten some good vibes so far from this establishment. When I eventually take my vehicle in for it's first routine service, I'd be surprised if I wasn't treated fairly by it's service department, as well. We shall see. read more

I purchased a truck from Demarow Ford. I had significant electrical problems in the first week of ownership. I spent 3 months dealing with them and each of the six times I went to pick up my truck it still didn't work. They then tried to sell me a new truck and had the nerve to charge me depreciation on my current truck as a "solution". Ford sent me to Landmark. They put me in a rental and It took nearly 3 weeks to fix. Despite this they called me every time they said they would with an update and would not try and give it back without everything working perfectly. After problem after problem with my Navigator and the continued awful customer service, I finally traded my Lincoln in for an awesome Toyota FJ Cruiser. Based on my experiences I will dissuade as many people as possibly from ever buying a Ford product because they obviously don't stand behind their product or dealerships. I'm from Southern California, drove my Lincoln to coast and had car trouble. Was staying in Tillamook, and wanted to get the car back to the Coast! Called Tillamook Ford, they said no way. Dead cell phone zones on Hwy 6 . Gave me the number of Tigard location of Landmark Ford/Lincoln. Spoke to very knowledgeable people, got towed in. Was broken down on Hwy. 26 East bound. GREAT SERVICE right from the beginning. My 2014 Lincoln had been serviced a few days before in Los Angeles. I was shocked that I had a problem. But I Received 5 Star service from Landmark Ford Lincoln! A person came out right when the tow truck arrived to check me in. Had film gear in my vehicle that would need to be transferred to the loaner car. No problem! Vehicle checked in , loaner car , they helped me transfer the gear! I had forgotten that I took the bumper to bumper service warranty when I purchased the car until the next morning! I called right away. And wow! They got the contract out of the glove box and called the insurance company, took the service manager 45 minutes on the phone, but got it taken care of. He could have said no! Didn't. That's Customer Service. The Gold team rocks! Saved me like $800.00 dollars! Yay! Phoned regularly to update. Had to order specialty parts! They stay open til midnight! Wow! Great customer service! Our Focus was running rough so I figured the dealership would have the best equipment for diagnosing the issue... boy was I wrong. They did $1400 worth of work and MADE IT WORSE! When we got it back it was running so bad we had a friend look at it. They incorrectly installed parts, left them unplugged under the hood, broke our air conditioner that was working the week we dropped it off, then made us pay to fix it when we returned it. I didn't even want to take it back there, because I know that the mechanic is either incompetent or intentionally scamming us but my husband insisted. We picked it up last week, and the very next day it started dying on the freeway! This is the worst experience at a shop I have had in my 14 years in Portland. I will never be stupid enough to take it to the dealership again. They tack on and up sell a hundred things you don't really need, then they lie- they tried to say my sparkplugs were 20 years old, they were 2 years old. read more

We just bought a used 2015 pickup from these folks. In shopping around, some dealerships were nightmares, the worst stereotype imaginable, but these people were awesome. First of all, they are very knowledgeable about cars/trucks and about their inventory. Second, they are professional and the showroom/environment is clean and calm. No hustle, no trying to "sell up" to a more expensive vehicle than you want. Jeff was our sales fellow, and he listened more than he talked, refreshing. The truck he showed us exactly met our needs at a fair price - that may sound like a no-brainer but I can't believe how many other dealerships tried to sell us trucks that did NOT meet our stated needs. Nope. Took my 2012 f150 in here a month back because the left front wheel was making a clunking noise. They said it was due to the fact that the four wheel drive was not syncing out of that wheel. Where is the negative star option??? Let's start with the Service Department. I had to get my transmission rebuilt under-warranty. I was told that the service would take around a week to complete. They had my car for 2.5 weeks which was a real inconvenience because they did not offer me any form of a rental vehicle during this time. The leader for the team that was working on my car did a very poor job on keeping me informed during the whole process. Half the time I had to inquire myself on whats going on with my car. Also, I asked for a quote to replace a part while the transmission was already out of the car. He either completely ignored or forgot that I asked him to do this because that was the last I heard about it. So after I finally got my car back and I went to drive it... IT WAS MAKING MORE NOISE THAN WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF! I went in to talk to someone about this, but they weren't able to offer me a rental because I am not 25. Which means had to take my car home with me and come back later. On to the Sales Department. I wanted to trade my car in after it was serviced for a new Ford. I went to talk to a salesman about getting a trade-in value. He didn't even ask for all the options that my car had and didn't even get up from his desk to even look at my car. This stuff combined to the salesman giving me a completely insulting offer. Now that I am trying to sell my car on the private market, no one wants to buy it because it has a noise coming from the transmission. Long story short... STAY AWAY FROM LANDMARK FORD. read more

Residing in Battle Ground, WA, there are many dealers much closer to us than Landmark in Tigard, OR; however, the additional time and traffic are okay with us for the quality and courtesy provided by Landmark Sales and Service departments. Brought car in for 30k service which is an oil change, air filter change, tire rotation, and the typical "once over" to inspect fluids etc. On the PLUS side, they found a gash in one of my tires, and I think wisely opted NOT to rotate them, as it would have put that tire on the front (steering) side. I'm assuming they changed the oil as it was noted on the order, however, the other item required for the 30k maintenance, oops, they forgot. No replacement of air filter. I did ask them to replace the cabin filter, which they DID do, but left greasy prints all over the glovebox. They did call to offer replacing the filter for free (I already did it...$20 for filter and all of 3 minutes work). I was hoping this would be my new place to have my maintenance work done, but if they can't get 1 of the 2 items completed and leave car dirty, not sure why I'd come back. UPDATE 2/20/2020: Landmark called. They explained why filter wasn't changed, and I agree with their reasoning. They said car should never have been dirty, and spoke w/ technician and let him know and that it wasn't acceptable. And, they offered a mini-detail of the car as compensation. I'm very satisfied they addressed my issues...so I've updated my rating for a 2 to a 4 (it still shouldn't have been dirty, and had they reviewed with me when I left all things they had done..or didn't do as in the case of the filter...that'd have given them a 5 star in my book). I'll try them again and see how it goes. They're very convenient for me, so...here's hoping!!! read more

Our 2013 Ford Escape, with less than 70k miles, started making a loud rumbling on the highway. We took it in on a Thursday night to Landmark Ford so they could diagnose and fix on Friday as well as fix a factory recall. On Friday they called us that this, less than 5 year old Escape, needed a new left rear wheel bearing and that it had front and rear axle seal leaks and a water pump leak. Total, with a senior discount, for all of these vehicle failures/repairs (new bearing, new axle seals, new water pump and seal, labor) nearly $1,200. We were called on Friday and told the work would not be done but they would finish up by noon the next day (Saturday) and with time to do a wash and detailing we could pick up at 1:30PM. We arrived driving 30 minutes one way from our home, the car was not ready and we/I spent 2 1/2 hours waiting for it without the detailing done. Very disappointed with this vehicle that given less than 5 years of age and normal driving conditions required this much fixing/cost of repair and that Landmark Service was so dis-organized and failed to notify us at all on Saturday that it would not be ready after they committed to a time to pick up. We have bought two new FORD vehicles from this dealer over the years and had a number of other Fords we owned serviced there. This Escape is our last FORD and this service is the last one we will do at Landmark. read more

Took my Ford into have a front alignment they quoted me $80 , set appointment for 6pm. I dropped my truck off at 5:30pm they stated would be done at 7:30pm at 7:20 I got a call that now they wanted to charge me over $200 to do the alignment all because my truck has a leveling kit in the front and that they have not touch my truck yet. Not really sure why they did not call me until almost two hour later when I was supposed to pick my truck up and been hanging out around town waiting and taking time out of my schedule to have the alignment done. This place will charge you what ever they want. Beware of what they are charging! They will rip you off if you let them. Have a friend that is the head mechanic for Subaru and he says it was BS there would be no additional work needed due to having a leveling kit. The alignment is done completely same. read more

I've bought two vehicle's from Landmark and the experience has been ok. Sales manager tried ripping me off with a DVD player, I took it back and spoke with someone a little higher who made it right. So I'd give sales a 4 or 5 outta 10. Service has been great up until recently. I've bought the maintenance package with both vehicles that I bought through Landmark. My first also had 'tires for life'. When I went back to claim the tires, first it was a hassle before they were deemed replacement worthy, and then they denied replacement. I was pretty upset but kept cool as I know how things like this typically go. I was then told that the manager ok'd the tires this time but that would be it, never again. When I purchased the maintenance package, I was told that lights were covered in normal wear and tear. Went to get my headlight replaced today and was told it wasn't covered. Bad enough that I'm paying $275 to get my windshield wipers fixed but they can't honor the promise made? Seems like a small price to pay to keep what was a loyal customer. After the tire deal, I went to another dealer and bought a new F150. The convenience of Landmark is no longer worth my business. I'll drive a little further for what I feel is fair service. Too bad because I buy Ford almost exclusively. read more

They are a fancy Jiffy Lube. They will tell you need a bunch of repairs or services you don't. One differential service they suggested 10 years ago has still not been necessary. 200,000 miles later. Service warranty package was a waste. Seems the brakes only need replacing every 3months after the warranty is expired. One time they told me the part I needed was not in stock at this or any other local Ford dealer. Then I drove to Damerow and they had it. Service in general has gone down and if you happen to go after hours and have to work with another team you feel like an inconvenience. We had an engine replaced on a Ranger. they messed up and the engine failed right away. they fixed it and said that 1 year warranty did not apply to the repair and the engine itself was no longer under warranty. ??????? read more

I have had my truck serviced at Landmark a few times in the past couple years, but never again!! First off, the mood/attitude of people when you walk in is atrocious - customer service is obviously a foreign term to these people. They act like you are an interruption in their gossip time, and they could really care less if you were there. While in the past, the service has been good, the past service experience was the worst. I was having the rear brakes on my truck was replaced, and the work was done incorrectly - twice! Not only was it done wrong the first time, when I complained and took it back in, they "fixed" the brakes, but they still ground loudly when I braked hard - when i questioned this again I was told it was water ont he brakes. I took my truck to another service station who fixed the problem of the pads not being installed with the proper spacing and screws. In addition, I wanted a full engine check done as my "check engine" light was on -despite spending over $750, my light came on again 2 days after servicing, and despite having them review the work, and requesting 3 times that they reset the light I was told it was just one of those things since my truck had more than 100,000 miles. Since having it serviced elsewhere, I sincerely doubt that any work was actually done on my vehicle. BEWARE!!! read more

I don't see smiles on faces of employees. I feel uncomfortable the moment I arrive because of the lack of friendliness of their interaction with me. I went into the used car section several months ago to see what I could get to turn in my vehicle early and there were 4 men in the office. None of them would look me in the eyes or barely speak to me until I walked out. It was the most disgusting experience I've ever encountered. Took my car to landmark Ford on 8/16 for a basic oil change. Got it back and inspected it. The first thing that stood out was that a bunch of oil drippings were not cleaned off of my plastic radiator cover. After further investigating, I found that the oil filter hadn't been change. It was pretty noticeable that it still had a bunch of road grime on it from in between oil changes and not just greasy hand prints from an employee changing the oil. So, finally I checked the oil and guess what....It was dirty. Keep in mind that I only live a few miles from the dealership and my oil has been meticulously changed since I've owned it and it has never been dirty looking after driving a few miles. So, they either did not change the oil and filter or they just changed the oil and didn't change the filter. Not sure and don't care. The same day, I called and left a message with the service manager and general manager. Guess what... Neither of them called me back. I took pictures and have a good witness. I am never doing business with them ever again. My recommendation is always inspect your car. read more

Wow what a disappointment Landmark Ford service department has been. I had purchased a 2017 Ford Escape in 2016. Only had service done at Landmark and as with all service in this day in age everything was not always over the top but acceptable. But when the service manager was asked about consents about services about "The Works, oil change tire rotation and overall inspection" on how one time tires are one measurement and the next time they are more and same as break pads, I was told it depends on where the tech took the measurements, as off things dont wear even. Then finding the windshield fluid not being filled, again response "new technician" great coaching opportunity. Now lastly a new transmission installed I drove it about 5 miles and had to return it as something wasn't right, only to have my SUV returned with being told transmission fluid was low. Again started driving and this time it overheats a coolant hose was found not connected to the new transmission. Although Landmark paid for my repair and went to Ford for a refund from ford itself Landmark Service Department is not worth a penny out of your pocket. read more

It was right when the 2012 Ford Focus was released and they were tough to find, but she managed a 3-way trade between dealerships to get my car (color, options, everything). I can't speak about the service department as I moved to San Fran a few months after the car was purchased, but I have put 11,000 miles on my car and everything has been working wonderfully. I brought my wifes SUV in for OIL service and to have them check a tire for a leak. They told my wife the screw went into the tire sidewall and was unurepable. I took the tire to Firestone in Lake oswego. The crew was dead center in the tread, not in the firewall as she was lead to beleive.The manager told me no problem with the fix, and it was not bad. This is the reason people do not trust mechanics. Never again will Landmark work on my cars. read more
