Wow what a disappointment Landmark Ford service department has been. I had purchased a 2017 Ford Escape in 2016. Only had service done at Landmark and as with all service in this day in age everything was not always over the top but acceptable. But when the service manager was asked about consents about services about "The Works, oil change tire rotation and overall inspection" on how one time tires are one measurement and the next time they are more and same as break pads, I was told it depends on where the tech took the measurements, as off things dont wear even. Then finding the windshield fluid not being filled, again response "new technician" great coaching opportunity. Now lastly a new transmission installed I drove it about 5 miles and had to return it as something wasn't right, only to have my SUV returned with being told transmission fluid was low. Again started driving and this time it overheats a coolant hose was found not connected to the new transmission. Although Landmark paid for my repair and went to Ford for a refund from ford itself Landmark Service Department is not worth a penny out of your pocket. read more

"Woohoo! As good as it gets!" does not even describe our experience. While driving through Portland on a road trip with teenagers, our Ford F-250's transmission died a terrible death. Being from CA, there is no such thing as after hours service. At Landmark, they have TWO shifts of service technicians working seven days a week. Knowing that we only had three days to get back to LA, Dan from the Orange Team had his techs evaluate, replace, and repair our truck in 24 hours. After towing the truck here at 9PM on Thursday night, we were back on the road Saturday morning for LA. OUTSTANDING job. I wish our dealerships down here were one-half as responsive and professional. read more

After a collision, I took in the Taurus for body work. This was a front end collision. I had bought the car new. They replaced the front bumper, hood, radiator, windshield. The air bags went off so they needed to replace the front dashboard. They did a terrible job. The paint job was not done well, they scratched the paint with their air hose. The car developed an immediate problem keeping a front end alignment. They left glass chips everywhere. They forgot plastic snap retaining clips in various places. The cut the dashboard and then used glue to to try to get it refitted, so there was soon a large ugly gap under dash, above the instrument panel. I took it back and they re-glued it, that worked for a month and when I took it back they blew me off. Refused to take responsibility. The painted hood developed a crack in the paint, poor preparation, and that began to rust. Another time i took the car in for tuneup and the mechanic stole the bluetooth cellphone device, a hands free speaker and mic unit, a $70 item. Refused to take responsibility for that. I maintained the car religiously for my wife, who doesn't drive much, Many years later the car was in another front end collision. The front air bag did not go off, and it should have. The failure of the airbag cause my wife's sternum to be seriously fractured. I doubt that this dealership actually replaced the driver side airbag after the first collision, but I don't know for certain. On my F150, they replaced the rear axle seals when I asked them to simply replace the universal joint on the drive shaft because I know trucks well and the U-joint was bad. Very weird, they did work that did not need to be done and didn't do work that needed to be done. I argued with them and they finally did the U joint for a discounted price. These people are morons, but that is typical for Ford dealerships. I don't buy Fords anymore unless its a pickup, and I avoid Landmark, period. read more

Recently we rented an SUV from Landmark. The occasion was a rafting trip down the Snake River. We flew into Portland from Florida and needed an SUV. The airport rental companies, Enterprise and Hertz, have a deal breaker for anyone needing to have a car shuttled from the on river point to the off river point. Both companies require the shuttle driver to come to one of their offices to sign on as as an additional driver. That is a little awkward since Hell's Canyon on the Snake River is miles from any car rental company. We were in a jam! It was 3 days before we were to fly to Portland. Oh, we had planned ahead. We had an SUV reserved several weeks before the trip but were blindsided when this additional driver rule surfaced. Luckily after many phone calls and a lot of anxiety, we found Landmark Ford. Michelle at Landmark was super nice and said the shuttle driver did not need to appear in person. What a relief! Landmark was a little out of our way in Tigard but it was worth the taxi to and from the airport. Michelle and her staff made us feel at home and saved us one third of the cost of an airport rental. The total savings included the cost of the taxi rides. Customer service is alive and well at Landmark. Would I rent again at Landmark? You can bet your spare tire i would.! Bob S. read more

Happy with the vehicle, but not 4 days after having it I was getting the oil change alert. When taking it in for the oil change that was needed I was shown that the vehicles air filters were not replaced so this is an added expense for me. Plus we found a loose bolt under the hood that shouldn't have been there. I asked for a second key at the dealership and was informed I was not going to get that without added costs so I ended up with one key, but especially after this added expense I feel they could have added that for me. The salesmen was nice over the phone, but when there received attitude due to I was specific who we would be funded through. Mind you I called ahead of time to make sure this wouldn't be an issue. read more

Fabulous customer service! After having a nightmare customer service experience at Damerow Ford (you can read my review for them), I called Landmark to explain that my car, with only 6500 miles on it, had broken down. Not only did she sympathize with what I was going through, she offered to have a tow truck sent to get my car. I explained that we had AAA, so that service would not be needed. She said that they were open until midnight and scheduled an 8:00 appt with Jason. My car was fixed by 10:30 that night! Jason called to say we could come get it or leave it until the next day. I highly recommend Landmark Ford for anyone needing service. They understand what people are going through and treat customers with respect. They have a customer for life in me! read more

I want to thank the Brown Team and all the service members for their expeditious trouble shooting and repair of our vehicle. While traveling from Olympia, WA to Lincoln City our fuel pump went out while on I-5. We were towed in to the nearest Ford dealership which fortunately for us was Landmark Ford. All the service bays were full and we were afraid we would not be able to resolve the problem on the 4th of July weekend. Nate from the Brown team had the problem identified in short order and advised it was a fuel pump which they had to order. We gave them the green light to get the part and fix the problem. Anticipating this would take several hours we went to the rental department to rent a car and although there was actually none available they still came up with a car to rent and we were on our way. This was critical since my wife has a medical problem and we could not take any delays. To our astonishment we received a call within two hours and they had the repair completed. Since we were already en route we decided to ask if we could keep the rental for 4 days so as not to interrupt our vacation. Even though they were short on rental cars we still got the OK to do so. All this worked out extremely well and we picked up our vehicle the following Monday and dropped off the rental. To say that Landmark Ford goes above and beyond all customer satisfaction expectations is an understatement. I only wish we lived closer for this is a dealership I would love to do business with. I made an appointment last Tuesday to have my oil changed this Tuesday at Landmark. I purchased my vehicle there and have a rewards membership otherwise I would just go to a quickie place. Landmark also rotates the tires and runs the car through the car wash. Last time it took about 30 minutes. Today after driving through rush hour traffic I arrived at 9:45 for a 10:00 appointment only to find out I would have to wait at least an hour for just the oil change and an hour and a half for anything "extra". I left feeling unhappy and intend to take my business elsewhere. read more

This is a follow-up. Although the sales dept. has done a great job, the service department has been a serious letdown ever since my first visit. I made an 11:30 appt, today for an OIL CHANGE. They said there were three techs. and I was the fourth car so it would take at least an hour an a half. This is the second time this has happened out of two times. These guys did the service that was requested of them and nothing more. My truck had a rough tow experience to their facility. When I picked up my truck the next day the my stereo was hanging by the power wires, I complained and their response was I don't expect my guys to provide any extra services.. "We found it that way" and when I drove off I found a whole new problem with my truck. I expected the dealership to inform me on any repairs or improvements I should consider but that didn't happen. It's obvious these guys move a lot of volume and they want you in and out. Nate from the brown team had a stoner mentality when dealing with my complaints... I've stayed away from Landmark's used cars because their asking price is always high compared to reputable lots in the area. Unfortunately, I found myself on their lot in need of a vehicle. Salesman was pleasant and provided information I requested (like carfax report and vehicle service history). When I mentioned my concern about noise coming from the front right suspension, he assured me the car had been thoroughly checked out by Landmark's service department in order to be certified pre-owned. When I mentioned the noise again he quickly offered to take the car to service and have it checked again. When the salesman returned from service with the car, he informed me no problems were found. He also added that customer satisfaction was very important to Landmark so, if I experienced problems with the car in the future, just bring it back to them and they would be willing to help me out. While the salesman's assurance did make me more comfortable with my purchase I still discussed the suspension problem with a manager. The manager offered a service plan to help with parts and labor cost just in case I did run into problems. I paid the extra for the service plan. Jump ahead to the first time I bring the vehicle in for service. The mechanic found the bushings for the front right suspension were very badly worn and needed immediate replacement. I was furious and it only got worse from there. The same salesman, mechanic who certified the vehicle, mechanic who checked suspension the day I purchased the car, and manager who offered the extra protection service plan were all still working at Landmark. Every one of them was incredibly apologetic yet unhelpful. I've had three vehicles serviced at Landmark for years. They have a way of knowing I take very good care of my vehicles. The used car manager's suggestion that maybe I had been off roading, flying over speed bumps, or just plain abusive to the car was insulting to me. Even when I pointed out Landmark's own records of the vehicle he was unwilling to offer any sort of discount for parts or labor. Bottom line: Buyer beware. Landmark Ford is concerned with potential customer satisfaction while actual customers are on their own. Next time I'll go to a seedy lot on 82nd or Mcloughlin. I'll save the money up front and get the same level of service and loyalty from the dealer. read more

Although the work hasn't been done yet I have to say the Tan Service advisor was very rude this morning. I brought in a 2010 Ford Fusion for a temperature control issue. The car is blowing hot air even when the AC is on. It does this off and on. Normally I take the car to a local shop I have been using for years that I trust but due to the issue (and a known issue to Ford), they recommend I take it to the local Ford dealer to have them fix it. Essentially the issue is a reprograming of the HVAC module per the Ford Special Service Message (SSM) that my mechanic provided me. Since it would require reprograming by Ford they didn't want to take my money when ultimately it would need to be done by a Ford dealership. I showed the print out to the Tan Service advisor and he took the sheet and tossed it on the desk and told me I am not concerned with their diagnosis so tell what is going on. Wow - Rude to say the least. If I would have known this guy was going to be so rude I would have gone to a different dealership. I have had friends take their car there and had similar issues. I would recommend you review your Service advisors practice (at least the Tan Team) to avoid this issues in the future. read more

I purchased my Fusion from Landmark seven years ago and have used their service department since that time. They have always done a great job at keeping my car in good condition without recommending work that did not need to be done. This last Summer I had a major problem with my car and decided that it was worth having it towed 200 miles so that it could be fixed at Landmark. It was well worth it. They found that the problem was a known problem with the Fusion and the very costly repair was all paid for by Ford. I had a rental car to use for free for the very long time that it took Ford to send them the replacement part, four days of that time I had a Mustang Convertible which was an unexpected treat. In addition, after Ford denied my claim for the towing charge, Landmark paid it. All in all, I give Landmark very high marks. Perhaps the best reason for the 5 star review is that even on the rare occasion when I was somewhat unsatisfied, Landmark listened and immediately took action to correct it. No one is perfect so having a company that hears when they fall short and bends over backward to correct the problem is truly golden. read more

Having done business with Landmark Ford for almost 20 years, I have always been satisfied with the service I received. The most important part of owning a vehicle is always the after sales service department. Steve Moralez and the Gold Team have alwats beem attentive to our needs. When my sister in Ohio was going to have chemo, the truck I was using to drive back had the fuel pump go out. Steve and his team , put me first in que and made sure I got truck repaired and was on the road same day. Another time I needed my vehicle that was in for repair unexpectedly and service dept. was unsure as to where thekeys were as more than one dept had been scheduled to service the vehicle. A kind gentleman took me to all the departments involved until the keys were located. That kind gentleman was Jim Corliss, the owner of Landmark Ford. I will make this quick and to the point. My husband purchased a 2003 Navigator. i sent an email to the service dept, inquiring about two parts, one for the seat belt a snap that was missing(keep the seat belt from moving to the floor board) and a mechanism for the cover on the navigation system. November is when the email was sent, no reply. Then in December called and left a message for the service dept, no call back. Today my husband had a question regarding the dvd player. He called twice and never received a call back. The receptionist told him this has been an issue with the service dept apologized and paged someone. The gentlemen that my husband talked to was polite. I own a janitorial company and one of the buildings needed to be inspected. i told my husband Nick that "remember the service dept is open until midnight" why don't you stop by and have them take a look. (Landmark is on the way to this acct) When he arrived, 3 people came out ( a little overkill in my opinon) and looked at the system and said this unit was after market go to car toys and proceeded to walk away. We had called 2 weeks ago inquiring the price of a tune up, Nick was going to schedule the tuneup for the 2nd week in February. Why in the world would we want our navigator serviced by such unproffesional rude people. My guess is after what the receptionist said some got talked to and they were angry. We have been in business for 35 yrs, never would we treat a customer or potential customer in that fashion. And trust me in our industry you deal with many challenging customers. My husband is a very nice man and shame on you for treating him with such disrespect. read more

This was my first time at Landmark. I purchased my car and had it regularly had it serviced at the same dealership I purchased the vehicle from. I had always had a positive experience. That is until I was made to feel that I was almost an inconvenience to some of the people I dealt with on this last occasion. Now that I have experienced the level of service that Landmark provides, I have no intentions of going anywhere else. Checking in with Brittany was refreshing! She welcomed me in a friendly professional manner and walked me out to introduce me to Nate. Nate was completely professional from check in to how he patiently explained the report card on my vehicle after service. He even walked me to and through the cashier. I also witnessed how both Brittany and Nate treated others around me. This is obviously a culture and one to be proud of. While I never feel compelled to write reviews, as I believe if people do their jobs properly they will get repeat business. But in this case, I left feeling as though I found people I could trust and count on to ensure my vehicle is properly taken care of in the future and a written review is the least I can do. I brought my SUV to Landmark with specific service issues. I requested a loaner car and it was like pulling teeth. My vehicle was in their shop for 3 days, I get a phone call late in the day saying, its done, come now or we will charge you for all 3 days of rental. I work nights and tried to explain I could bring the loaner car back first thing in the morning, which was refused by Landmark and was again threatened with rental fees. I dropped what I was doing, raced in to get my car, only to find out that my car wasn't fixed, still had the same problems it went in with, and was now late to work. When I called to chat with the service manager, he was unconcerned about the rental situation, didn't care about the poor service and directed me back to my former Ford Dealership for service, which I gladly accepted, Damerow Ford Service was exceptional, loaner car without hassle and quality workmanship, without attitude!!! Boo on you Landmark Ford. Run don't walk away from their service dept. If 0 star rating was an option, I would have chosen it. I have never been treated so poorly. read more

My wife and I purchased a 2016 Fusion SE Hybrid earlier this week from Landmark Ford. Though the selection of hybrids was thin - which is not unusual for all Oregon Ford dealerships - we were satisfied with the only 2016 SE Hybrid on the lot. Our salesperson, James, was knowledgeable and not pushy at all. The best part came when negotiating the price (no financing). As it was the end of the month and given the rebates offered by Ford, we settled on a price well below dealer invoice. The process was fairly quick - not too many back and forths on the price. Once purchased, James took the time to explain all the tech and other details of the car. James was polite throughout the entire process - even when another customer of his arrived at the showroom asking for him. He apologized to us, as he asked another salesperson to deal with the other customer and quickly returned to us. Overall, a great buying experience. read more
