If you ever want to check out Netflix films at a theatre, this place seems to partner up with Netflix. Love the smaller intimate settings and food options. I actually prefer it over AMC or TCL theatres. Def. Worth checking out! Parking is also convenient underground.

The Service: Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Staffs behind the bar and concession counter are very efficient. The Theater: It is located on the 2nd floor in the plaza. Small theater but the decoration looks more high end. There are nice chairs at the lobby. Only 5 theaters and seats are bigger and comfortable. The Parking: Parking structure. They validate parking for 3 hours. Entrance on Laurel Ave.

Was last here when it was still an AMC. I showed up recently for a screening, and decided to order pretzel bites. I noticed they weren't the same ones pictured that AMC had previously had here where they only offered mustard and not the radioactive cheese I like, so I was looking forward to this being better than the previous offerings. What I received was a dismal amount of bites which was a failure since they were priced approximately the same that AMC had. Yes, I know they are not AMC, but this was a disappointment. As for the theater, it was fine. We had assigned seating for this screening which was new, and I was stuck in the back row. Left early due to the 3-hour validated parking and it was a long movie. Picture quality/sound was okay. Probably would not return here due to the pretzel bites-of all things-but glad I tried it out as a Landmark.

    Impressive array of cast members.

The Landmark recently opened at Sunset 5. I remember when this location was the Laemmle Theatre and after that it was AMC. The lovely Karen N invited me to be her guest for a special screening of Asteroid City. I had no idea what the movie was about but was grateful for the invite and the opportunity to spend some one-on-one time with her. Inside the theatre was a pop-up with props from the movie and staff were happy to assist with photo ops. Guests were treated to complimentary popcorn and soft drinks. (Wine & canned cocktails are available for purchase.) The soda machine is fancy. You touch the screen to select your beverage of choice. I was impressed with the variety of sugar free cola selections. The theatre had stadium seating, so you don't have to worry about someone blocking your view. The seats were comfortable. The movie was entertaining and featured a cast of well-known actors. If you are a fan of Wes Anderson's work, you won't be disappointed with this film. They validate parking. However, I was fortunate enough to find parking on the street.

It's a nice theater but theater 2 had no A.C. at all and felt like we were in a sweat box. Validation was easy and it looks like your typical indie theater, but really, I wanted to walk out because of how stuffy and hot it was in there. Even one of the actors during the Q&A mentioned it. Hopefully they fix it.

This month (June '23) was the theatre's grand opening after previously being run by AMC. I had been to the location before and it looks like Landmark definitely made some nice updates to the seating and decor with a vintage flare. I visited this theatre for Wes Anderson's Asteroid City Pop-up that was exclusively held at this theatre. On display at the pop-up we're various set pieces; it was super cool. My only critique for the theatre overall would have to be for the sound and video quality, which were definitely not what I'm used to as a frequent Dolby and/or IMAX movie go-er. Would go back for another Indy film.

Cool addition to the Landmark Theatres family. They bought out the old AMC here and turned it into a theme focused theater experience. Staff were super friendly. I came for the Asteroid City pop up so everyone was in full force lol. Theater seating was cool, I did like the tables at every other seat. Only cons: - Our screen seemed small for the space. - Food wasn't that great (typical of a theater); Popcorn was great though. Pro tip: Located in shopping center where Trader Joe's is. Definitely worth visiting.

Complete revamp since it was taken over from AMC - full bar. Beautiful decor - highly recommend

I arrived around 4:40p and left around 9/9:30p the latest. Wasn't a long line nor was it a long wait while waiting in line. The even staff were friendly and professional. A backdrop was set up for pics. They also had a green screen set up so guests could take a pic and be digitally placed in a scene of the movie. I thought that was cool. They also offered free popcorn with a fountain drink. Ordered a "Ginger Margarita" at the bar before entering the theater. It was about $21 for cocktail. Wish I would've purchased the "Cutwater" instead. For $10 or $11 it would've been better sipping on that than the 21oz or 24 oz drink. Being that they fill the cup with ice, you're not getting as much of a drink as you think. Didn't have any issues getting thru and having my wristband checked. Was able to just walk on thru. The theater I was in was clean. Found a comfortable seat up top. The movie was better than I expected. The theater itself is really nice. I would come back.

We even double checked with two different staff members when the screen stayed black for an unusually long time, and both confirmed we were in the right place. After waiting nearly 45 minutes, a movie finally started, except it wasn't the one we had tickets for. When we spoke to the manager, he insisted we were in the wrong theater, despite the fact that multiple employees had sent us there and confirmed it. By that point, we had already missed a large portion of the movie we paid to see. To make matters worse, the seat in front of us was broken and reclined completely into our space. We drove to Hollywood, paid for parking, and ended up leaving without seeing the movie at all. The whole situation could have been avoided with better communication and customer service.

My son has been wanting to see Devil Wears Prada 2 and the first one is one of his favorite movies of all time. Personally, I don't like that movie but I went along with him. Tickets are $25 each and they have a $4 parking garage, but we were lucky enough to get a free after-hour meter on the street. It's a nice place and it seems like comfort is their top priority. The recliner chairs are extremely comfy and come with a blanket in case you get cold. You know how movie theaters are always chilly. Once you get settled, you can press a button that sends an employee over to take your order. It's completely optional. We got one small popcorn (light butter, $6) which was big enough for both of us. I like this idea of having the option of ordering and dining at your seat while watching a movie, but the reality is a bit different. It's kind of annoying to see the employees coming and going when someone needs a refill or places a new order during the movie. You can hear them talking and they can even block your view. It's frustrating when you are trying to focus. With that being said, I think it has more pros than cons. There are bars and bathrooms located across the several floors and the one we went to was exceptionally clean. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back to this theatre. I prefer something more standard like AMC or Pacific Theatres (RIP!)...

We checked in at the front entrance and took the slow-moving elevator up to the rooftop. It wasn't a huge deal, but definitely something that stood out. When we got to the top, we were asked to fill out a waiver on our phones--super quick and easy, but honestly something that could've been done earlier when buying tickets online. Parking in the area was $20 at a lot across the street. Not terrible for a Friday night in LA, but still worth mentioning. Your ticket includes skate rental and one drink, so we grabbed a Paloma (the other option was not available) which hit the spot. Unfortunately, the skating surface was a bit of a letdown--treaded hard plastic mats that didn't offer a smooth ride. It took a lot of effort to move and wasn't beginner-friendly. Plus there was a tricky spot that tripped up more than a few skaters. The biggest surprise was the low energy overall--music was pretty quiet, and the vibe felt more relaxed than festive.
