Disappointing at best. 2 stars due to one person in our party finishing their food, the other of two of us left the majority of our food on our plates. My wife had the shrimp and crab cakes with the tomato mozzarella salad and I had the fish and chips. The crab cakes lacked any color to them, appeared more microwaved cooked than cooked/finished on a flat top. The salad was obviously store bought pre-sliced mozzarella, haphazardly sliced tomatoes, and one leaf of basil per tomato. The fish and chips, one of the most basic dishes you can find on the menu was the star disappointment. It was advertised as beer batter fish with fries and crispy onion straws. The plate was dominated by onion straws that were floppy and batter falling off all over the place. The onion straws were hiding the fries of which there was maybe 10 and all of them over cooked. The fish lacked flavor and the center of each piece was mushy. Credit to the bar tender for knowing how to make a highball and doing their best, but overall a very disappointing experience. Overall for a first visit there it was not enough to excuse as a possible bad day and to try again, I would recommend staying away and going to a better seafood restaurant in the area. read more

Family visiting wanted good seafood and I suggested Landry's. Everyone was overly pleased with their food. Our waiter, J-red was fantastic, knowledgeable, professional & a great host assigned yo our table. Everything he suggested we tried and we were not disappointed. The ambiance was so relaxing. The entire experience was 10/10. Afterward, the children fed the Koi and the family became stuck in a ferris wheel with no air. Our youngest daughter was in town. She and I had a chance to go to dinner together instead of with the group. We kinda just ended up here. I guess I had forgotten how consistently good the food is. The wait for a table was going to be about an hour so we sat at the bar. She is a sit at the bar girl anyway. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. My stuffed flounder made me remember how much I like flounder it was really flavorful. Even the broccoli and the rice was good. I was going to get pics of my daughter's food but she had already inhaled it. She was crunching on the tail of her Snapper. I said, "Do you need another plate?" Because what are we doing here? She said that she likes the crunch of the tail when it's seasoned right. She left no broccoli and not one grain of rice on that plate. So when I say it was good, trust me it was. For your seafood fix, Landry's does a pretty good job. Peter was our Server today, and he was wonderful and friendly. Landry's is a higher end, causal sit down chain, and the dishes we ordered were tasty and cooked well. I will say the price point is a bit higher for casual dining, but nice for a special night out. Don't sleep on Landry's.... We came here to try something new and because we were both craving seafood. We made a reservation for 7:30 and were seated promptly. Within a few minutes our server came by and she really set the tone for the rest of the evening. We each got side Caesar's to start (although I got mine with balsamic), and I got the tangy agave. I asked her for some bread with our meal, which she was happy to bring but because I didn't see the bill, I'm unsure whether it was complimentary. I was a little puzzled why my dressing came on the side but it wasn't that big of a deal. Overall, the salads were both good and I loved the drink because you could taste the passion fruit. Since I didn't t see a dish specifically for grilled shrimp, I got two broiled shrimp skewers and an order of rice pilaf. The shrimp was pretty good, but I wish I had chose a different way of having it prepared. I loved the pilaf and thought both were seasoned well. Even though most of what I got what small, it was super filling. Everything was perfect from start to finish and our server was excellent. I'll def be back. read more

We went on a Thursday night and had a 25 minute wait but due to a lack of servers. Plenty of tables just 4 servers working. Overall great experience. I've been to Landry's a couple times previously to this review and one of my coworkers gave me $100 gift card for the holidays so I decided to take my wife out for lunch. I like seafood but she lives for it . We went on a Sunday so we didn't have to reserve but I recommend from previous experiences to reserve over the phone or via the Open Table app so that you get a table as this place gets packed! I wish I remembered the servers name but she was AMAZING, detailed and very quick with refilling and making sure we were ok with everything. There is TON of seating between the bar area, tables and chairs and a few booths. I decided to get the fish and chips and the southern fried catfish. Everything was delishes as always but I really loved the southern fried catfish, it was fried like I like it and it was seasoned perfect. My wife got the osters, a salad and the blue crab cakes. She enjoyed her meal as well and this is always a spot we will go to for our usual date meals. read more

Landry's is onsite at the Hilton Union Station. It is a nicer dining option compared to some of the other restaurants. I had the chicken and it was dry. However, my colleague had steak and it was very good. Unfortunately I didn't eat too much of my entree because it was overcooked. They also have a nice outdoor patio area overlooking the water and I enjoyed sitting out there. read more

I could have sworn the tomato mozzarella and basil was picked in their personal garden it was so fresh. The Chilean Sea Bass was excellent. Most of all, Josh provided excellent customer service. He was kind and funny and told us about the famous Edgar the Egret. We knew nothing about this bird and he took several picture of us with Edgar. Don't get the gumbo here. I think it's $12 or $14 for a bowl and a bowl of small gumbo, like they scrapped the bottom of the pot. They give you like a half a bowl and it's not true gumbo at least it don't taste like true gumbo. I haven't had any good gumbo other than NOLO. I so wanted this to be a decent gumbo. I'm going to have to try some other places here in St. Louis cause Landry's they missing the boat with the gumbo. I got the the citrus salmon it was horrible, They overcooked that salmon so much it tasted like wood. They need to have a gravy or something on it to soften it up it's so dry. It's seasoned good and everything but it's just you can't even taste the salmon and flavor in it. They overcooked assignment the salmon Came with couscous, mushrooms and other vegetables, cucumbers and tomatoes. I mean I could tell the dish would be good probably but the salmon men overcooked them. Trash is too much. Whoever's back there in the kitchen.
