    DO IT YOURSELF MEG RYAN

We waited a little over 40 minutes for a table, which was definitely the biggest downside. Once we were seated, though, our waiter was very attentive. We actually had to move tables because the ceiling was leaking from the A/C, but our waiter immediately helped us relocate without making it a hassle. Once we were settled, the food was fresh, hot, and delicious. I ordered the French toast with hash browns, and my dad had a breakfast skillet. Everything came out nicely prepared and tasted great. The wait was longer than we'd hoped for, and the A/C leak was definitely unexpected, but the staff handled the situation well and the food made up for some of the rough start. I'd come back again!

We visited because we were excited to try an allergy-friendly holiday pop-up food experience (I have Celiac Disease and my boyfriend has wheat and dairy allergies). We picked Shack the Halls. They required that you pay for a nonrefundable "reservation fee" in advance for the pop-up, which was $30 for two people. That $15 per person got you in the door but all the food/drinks were an additional charge. When we arrived, The Shack was beautifully decorated for the holidays but extremely empty inside. There were only a few other dining parties besides us, which made it feel much less festive. We ordered from a special (limited) holiday menu, rather than from the regular menu. There were several gluten-free options but less that were also dairy-free for my boyfriend. I had the Stuffed 'Shrooms and he had a Basket of Fries and we each shared some cocktails off the Let's Sleigh coctails menu. I have to say, the cocktails were really good - strong, flavorful and presented in a fun, festive way. We also were able to share a Chocolate Torte dessert (with the ice cream on the side for me). Our server was friendly and efficient, but he definitely reminded us when our "reservation time" was almost up - even though they were practically empty. Overall, I would return for another special event.

It's a pop up bar!!! Alyssa was our server. Friendly and attentive. Private parking lot. Funny quotes on walls. Upon walking in pretty, and festive. Decorated beautifully. Plenty of picturesque moments throughout. Staff friendly and welcoming. Bar area available. Seated in the rear of the building, my party would have rather been seated in the middle to actually feel the vibes of the festivities. Cute cocktails and appetizers available for purchase. We ordered for food loaded fries/ funnel cake fries/ and pretzels with queso. All were good . Drinks we ordered were you little vixen you / I like to whisper too and a chocolate drink . Prices were reasonable. Restroom was clean and there is a surprise button in there that will definitely bring a smile to your face. I really enjoyed myself overall. Great experience.

I've had the Shack a few times now and I really like it! I can see why it's somewhere my friends who are STL locals all say to go visit when I'm in town. The food and portion sizes are great for the price. I've always gone on a Saturday or Sunday where it's 60+ minutes wait, but I just put my name on the list through their online system and wait at home, run errands, etc. it's really not that big of a deal for me. Service has always been nice and friendly, and it's always fun to see all the writing on the walls. One of these days I'll remember my marker to leave my own message somewhere.

A holiday pop-up extravaganza. The space is very cute and festive, and definitely puts you in the holiday mood. We had a larger group, so it was a bit tricky to keep track of our drinks and server since they seemed to rotate a few times. They did cut us off pretty firmly at the two-hour limit, which was a little jarring but understandable given how quickly the place filled up. There's a cute sleigh at the front for photos, though I wish there were a few more photo-ops throughout the space. The drinks were delicious, fun in their presentation, and reasonably priced for a pop-up. The food was decent as well--just a few shareable apps for the table, but enough to snack on. Not a bad kickoff to the 2025 holiday pop-up crawl ahead

Our waitress was amazing - she went above and beyond and was so friendly and kind to our two kiddos. My Lemon Blueberry Pancake was incredible - too big to finish! Husband loves his Big A#€ Burrito with loaded hashbrowns on the side. 8 yo said the hot cocoa was the best he's ever had in his life. 4 yo devoured the sausage. Go here!

This is an easy access breakfast place that gives you abundant food for a great price! There are many restaurants in the area... if you want to get great breakfast come by with your family! Lots of seats for your family.

One of my favorites for breakfast. This place always has a wait on weekends, but it's worth it!! I highly recommend the corned beef n hash which has a squeeze of spicy mustard on top for the perfect touch. It's a busy, loud place, but it's because the food is just so good!

Nice place for breakfast or brunch. Menu items have catchy names. They even have a special gluten free menu, which is great! I had 'Do my pants look big' and liked it, except the brussel sprouts were prepared with bacon grease. That heavy flavor made my dish not as flavorful as I hoped as the bacon grease flavor was dominant. Good service. Interesting walls, filled with writing.

We love the Shack! We have visited multiple locations and always leave satisfied and full! The service is always great! The food is consistently good! It's not overly loud, but you can expect kids and normal noise levels from surrounding tables and the bar area. On this visit, we had the sweet avo-ritto burrito, which has sweet potato tots, avocado, egg whites, bell peppers, and cheddar cheese in a wheat tortilla with a side of fresh fruit. The other meal was the shack classic, where you choose your own eggs, meat, and carb. This time was two eggs sunny side up, with bacon and white toast. The classic also comes with enough hash browns for a family of four. You will not leave hungry!

Very nice upbeat ambiance; love all the signatures all over the walls!! Hubby had to get his eggs remade as he ordered them over easy and they were over hard upon initial delivery. Hot tea tasted like coffee; waitress Hayley was very attentive to our every need! She brought fresh hot tea with a new teabag! Hash browns were greasy and very crunchy. Hubbies skillet was full of grease and he couldn't eat much. Maybe we will try it one more time.

COUNTRY FRIED STEAK, MAKE A GROWN MAN CRY
    Steven F.

This was my first visit to the Frontenac location, and my first visit to a Shack in quite awhile. I was pleasantly surprised to see the prices haven't gone up much at all. Both our servings were huge. The country fried steak wasn't the best I've ever had, a bit thin and overcooked, but my partner loved his "Make a Grown Man Cry" burrito. The highlight of our meal was the service! Jennifer was excellent and constantly checking in to see if we needed anything. Food came out less than 10 minutes after we ordered even with it being a busy Sunday at brunch. The holiday decor was still up too, which was a nice vibe for our meal.

Menu is huge got as much as I could

This place was a please t surprise went for my friends brother I had never heard of it before. My expectations were not high.. but upon entering we were immediately greeted by the person working the bar, as we proceeded to sit at our booth the booth was filled with birthday crowns similar to the ones Burger King has I loved it lol When the wait staff came in ordered the HullyMosa it was decently balanced I love when I can taste the alcohol bartender was doing his Big One! For my meal when my drink arrived I ordered the I don't normally order hashbrowns but when I do... substituted the queso for shack cheese... I sipped my HullyMosa while I waited and on about :10-:12 my food was out it was very quick to be at that capacity because it wasn't just my food but 3 others orders came up as well but it was DELICIOUS! Everything the eggs were fluffy the meat thick... Its a big bar to the right when you walk in and then to the left are all the booths and some tables MORE THAN ENOUGH SPACE! I'd definitely recommend this place 10/10 I will definitely be visiting again to try something new!! Keep it up SHACK!!!

    Do you have a waitlist?

Their waitlist can be found on their website. It's only active when it gets busy. Butttt...check it often they will go slow to super busy within an hour.

    Do they have bottomless mimosas?

No. They do not offer bottomless mimosas.

I know they don't take Reservations, but can you at least get in line? I have a pretty big group. Maybe 10 people for a brunch on Saturday. Does anyone know how they put you in line, is it with your phone number or those buzzers?

It was a little spicier than I was expecting and the "sauce" was almost a queso, but it was incredibly fresh and light and I didn't finish it. A friend ordered sweet potato fries and a lemon cupcake for us th split. The fries were jus barely overcooked so they kept sticking to my teeth, but the dilly-heavy ranch sauce was divine and went perfectly with the sweet fries. For dinner I had the whiskey salmon with green beans and roasted Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts were an especially good pairing with the glaze, and the green beans kept the plate balanced. What impressed me most was that this didn't feel like the obligatory salmon option on a meat-focused restaurant's menu. It felt like a dish worth ordering in its own right. We were heading to a movie afterward, so I also appreciated that the meal was satisfying without leaving me feeling weighed down.
