Sprinkler blowout service from Walker today. Showed up on time, noticed a couple of things i could have done better when draining my system and offered to do them next time included in the blowout, or walk me through over the phone. He took off the vacuum valve and noticed the plastic was broken (this thing breaks on me once every 2-3 years) and gave me a great deal in replacing it so I wont need to fix it in the spring. Last fall William sent one of his subcontractors, John out to do a sprinkler winterization. At the time I greatly appreciated him working to make sure my sprinklers got blown out. However, John did not properly close all of the drain valves. This meant that when I went to turn in my sprinklers this spring I had water gushing out. William was unable to come out in a timely fashion. I had to get a different company to come out and close the multiple drain valves that had been left open. William was rude and condescending when I explained what the problem was and refused to acknowledge that they should not have been left open. Will no longer be using in the future read more

My father was in need of some much needed landscaping in his front yard. After researching and interviewing several landscapers, we went with William and his team at Landscapes 101. Williams price was in-line with the other landscapers but I was impressed with his simple ability to answer the phone and get back to me in a timely manner. That might sound like a simple request but how many times have you hired someone to do work at your house only to find them getting back to you hours after you called them, showing up late for a job or just not showing up? It happens all the time and it's frustrating to say the least. William's team showed up on time if not early. He did the work as promised and on time. Walker and his team developed a plan to totally replace our existing sprinkler system that was installed in the late 1970s and had 15 zones. His team then installed the new system and got it working in 1 week while working around a snowstorm. The new system has 12 zones, 2 of which are for new drip lines that the old system did not support and a new controller that is accessible via Wi-Fi. Walker's team left no mess behind for us to clean up and, in fact, cleaned up part of our mess that we had made doing some landscaping. As an added bonus, they straightened the pole that our birdfeeders are on which we did no realize until after they had completed the sprinkler testing and left. They did a great job of getting everything accomplished and keeping us informed of the progress. read more

Buyer beware!! This company left my property much worse off than before they showed up!!! They will suck you dry! I will have to hire someone else to redo the entire valve manifold which they broke and lied about. Several weeks ago Walker, owner of Landscape 101, came out to assess my sprinkler system. I told him my biggest concern was that water was backing up and leaking from the main turn on valve. After looking at all the sprinklers and manually turning each on, he determined that the problem was the wiring in the outside valve box. He said all three boxes would need to be required and it would cost $800, billing at $100/hr. We set a date for the work to be done. When he showed up the first time, we didn't hear the bell and he didn't bother to call and just left. Feeling bad I called him (repeatedly) to reschedule. When he showed up today, he quoted $120/hr and said that in addition to the boxes the time clock controller need to be replaced and all wiring between the house and the valve boxes would need to be replaced. $$$. Then one of his young very inexperienced assistants called us to the back yard to show us a broken valve. Bare in mind, no one had so much as looked at that valve, much less touched it except Walker himself and his assistant. The boy said the top of the valve just "fell off"...an obvious lie. Walker said the whole manifold would have to be replaced. Now the price was $2000 or more. During this time, the other assistant was changing a head in the front yard which took him more than 1/2 hour plus he needed help to complete it. $120/hr. Really!!! At that point, I decided to cut my losses and send them on their way. Oh yes, remember the initial, and only problem, a leaking turn on valve. This was never addressed. Walker assured me this was not happening and was never assessed. Are you kidding me?? Did he think I made it up. I guess I made up the extra $300/month I had to pay on my water bill last summer because of the leak!!! Walker's answer is interesting considering he told me he forgot everything we initially talked about several times. FYI I just repaired the backyard valve they broke by exchanging the head they broke with a new one. $14.00. This called BAIT and SWITCH. read more

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! William was able to fit our crisis into his early morning schedule on very short notice, . He understood the urgency of our leak (water running continuously from a broken line). On the phone before coming out, he assured us he could stop the leaking water, but may not be able to perform a complete repair on the spot because of his time limitations for the morning. To our extreme delight, William was able stop the leak AND completely repair the issue before he left our place. He was very knowledgeable and happy to educate us. Our house is very old and he forewarned us of further potential leaks and why they may occur. Before he left, sure enough, that "potential" happened and he corrected it on the spot. William gave us information to address future issues of the same nature and explained what parts we would need. We will absolutely call William again for any water needs! William initially came to my residence to help out with an outdated irrigation system that wasn't working properly. At that time, he was working for a different company. William cleaned up the valve manifold while working for this other company and installed a new timer. Shortly after, the supply line to the valve manifold began leaking. Instead of contacting the company, I called William directly. William has started his own company and came back to fix the issue, free of charge since he said he was the one who installed it. William beefed up the system and ensured it wouldn't leak again now that he was able to operate by his own standards and not the other company's. William made recommendations for the best upgrade/layout for full coverage of my lawn but was in no way pushy. I will definitely be hiring 101landscapes for the upgrade when the time comes as William was punctual and takes pride in his work. read more

We initially called Landscapes 101 to get our sprinkler system adjusted. Then we realized the company could also update our landscaping, so we hired them for that, too. Owner, William Walker, gave us accurate estimates for a huge, multi-stage project, and we are thrilled with the results. He transformed our entire front and back yards by improving irrigation, installing two stone paths, adding mulch and gravel, creating a vegetable garden area, planting decorative flowers, grasses, and shrubs, and removing an old child's playset.
