I can't say enough about Lane and Kate. Everything from the first visit until after I proposed was amazing. Ellana answered all the questions I had. My fiancé and I were curious about moissanite and after talking with Ellana we decided we wanted to go with a lab grown diamond. That was my fiancés last visit. Ellana then met with me multiple times, and sent me renderings of the ring along the process. She helped guide me but allowed me to have some creative freedom with designing and was transparent with pricing. She was a pleasure to work with and I can't wait to get our wedding bands from her. I am a minimalistic jewelry type of gal. Almost all the bracelets that I own and wear have sentimental value to me, and I own maybe four pairs of earrings and necklaces each. It's not because I don't like them. I am just lazy. Therefore Lane and Kate is not my type of store. They have small, cute jewelry options and flowers (!?) for sale. I don't like flowers whatsoever. Lane and Kate still gets five stars from me, and that's because I can admit my own flaws. Most people that are into cute, classy options will love Lane and Kate. All their jewelry comes from small designers and they try to source local as much as possible. The pieces that are in the store are all hand chosen by the employees and are sensible and timeless. These jewelry options are something that you could wear for any occasion. I ended up with a small pair of sterling silver hoop earrings that are easy to wear with anything. In addition to their jewelry collection, they also offer flower bouquets on the weekend and cruelty free makeup. The flowers are locally grown and brought to the store. I came in on a day when they weren't there, but I'd think it makes the whole store flourish. (Pun intended.) There aren't really that many non-kiss jingle jewelry stores in Cincinnati. Lane and Kate aspires to showcase local artists and to be eco-friendly. That's certainly an ideology I can get behind. Love, love, love this jewelry store. It's small, but they make great choices with what they carry and each collection of jewelry is marked with who made it. I love that too. Remember this is a college town, which means, on the one hand this jewelry is both beautiful and affordable, but on the other hand, you're probably not going to find things like an engagement ring here. However, Valentine's gifts are completely fair game. This is where my gift was from last year and it was so special to me because both me and my bf graduated from Miami.
