I really tried to like this place-but it just didn't work out for me; as the first time I went, Jennifer did my nails. She spoke almost no English and was just downright MEAN! Yanking my hands, she never introduced herself-I had to ask the cashier what her name was, as I was making the payment/leaving; and demanding to know "what color" every 5 minutes, was annoying enough-but, one thing that annoys me to no end is when people constantly speak in another language throughout the service. It's the epitome of RUDE-as they know that we don't speak their language. Next, the chairs were wooden, and were absolutely, positively the most UNCOMFORTABLE chairs I have ever been seated in-hands down! Jennifer actually did a really good job on my nails, but needless to say-I would NEVER go back to her. The second and final time I went-I was serviced by someone else-who ever so rudely-didn't even bother introducing herself. This experience was worse than the first; as she very LOUDLY conversed with all of her colleagues for 2 hours straight-the entire time she was doing my nails! And 2 of my nails chipped in less than 24 hours, and they were gel nails. People go to the nail salon to RELAX, no one wants to listen to their service provider almost yelling while continuously conversing with their colleagues non-stop (again in their native language) for 2 hours straight. I had a headache by the time I left that place! I really believe that the way the employees conduct themselves is solely because of immaturity, as almost all of them are in their 20's, and they simply have absolutely NO CLASS, unfortunately. No one asked me if I wanted a water, or anything else-yet other patrons were given snacks and drinks. There is no parking whatsoever-though they do valet-but, unfortunately, I have issues with giving someone else my car keys and driving my car-as I have seen valets that have actually caused damage to a vehicle-and they did NOT even notify the unsuspecting patron of the aforementioned damage! Lastly, they are EXPENSIVE! Both times I went, I ended up paying more than $120, and at those prices-I feel that I shouldn't have to put up with any rudeness, or disrespect. Especially when I still left a 40% tip both times! I would NEVER recommend them...EVER!!! read more

I've been to Lanicure a few times before and always had a great gel manicure and overall experience. I was having car maintenance done down the street and figured it was the perfect opportunity to stop in while I was in the area. I was seated right away, which was great. They offered me a beverage, but they didn't have any cups available, so I wasn't able to get a tea. This visit felt very different from my previous ones. I believe my nail tech was Elly. The entire service felt extremely rushed. I had a small amount of grown-out gel on a few nails, and it was drilled off very quickly. In the past, they've soaked off gel with foil to make sure it's completely off, which I didn't receive this time. It wasn't a lot of gel, so that part was fine, but there was also no warm water soak to soften the cuticles, which I've come to expect as part of a basic manicure. I never been to a nail salon ever that didn't have a warm water soak. For a $50 manicure, I would expect the standard steps to be included. My nails were cut and filed very quickly and ended up slightly different lengths. I wasn't asked if the shape or length looked okay or if I wanted any adjustments. I typically go to Nail to Toe Rescue in Los Feliz, where they apply multiple coats (4 of the base and 2 top) so it lasts. This time I received one coat of base and one coat of top. Lotion was applied at the end, but there was no hand massage, she just literally rubbed it on my hands. The entire appointment lasted I'd guess under 15 minutes. Even the front desk associate, who was friendly and kind, looked surprised at how quickly I was done. Unfortunately, this visit felt rushed and below the standard I've experienced here before. I'm not sure I would return based on this experience. read more

Lanicure does amazing nail art. I went here on a rainy day with an appointment in October. The nail art was done with little direction and turned out beautiful. One thing to caution is the price, turned out being like $5 per nail for art! I would come back more frequently but it was a gel manicure with art and was out of my price range. Also I am ok with their pedicures but they don't use a real foot bath so it's a little weird for me. I like using spa and nail salons with real jets and drainage in their pedicure baths. I have been coming to this shop for the last 8 months and I don't plan on stopping. The work and care that these artists do is top tier. The first time I showed up was June 2025 and I wanted Ghostface and they did exactly that. I thought I was going to get turned away or laughed at but nope. Fast forward to today and I am one with Ly(lol), she is a talented nail artist who takes her craft seriously. Everytime I want something on my nails she makes it happen. Been coming here for my nails for almost 2 years now, and every single time I've had an amazing experience. They always get my nails right no matter who the technician is. I used to do gel x and acrylics for years which ruined my nails. I was very doubtful that my natural nails would grow and stay strong, but since I've been coming here I've only been doing hard gel sets and fills on my real nails! I did not enjoy my experience at Lanicure. - I waited 15 minutes for my appointment to start and was not given colors or offered a beverage during my wait. - The pedicure bowl was only filled to the point where I could dip my feet in, the water became cold immediately and lasted that way throughout the appointment. - The wrong color was applied to my toes and when I pointed it out, I was told I was wrong. - I was massaged over an area where it was very clear I had cut myself. - The massages were painful instead of relaxing. - The atmosphere is too hectic for a place you come to relax. Too many people, too rushed. My nails look good, but for the price I paid, I would much rather go to Sugar Nail on Hobart. I had a gel manicure and regular pedicure appointment in the morning. Appointment started 10 minutes after I booked it, which is fine. I think a little wait is expected, especially for a nail salon with this many nail technicians and such a large clientele. My service turned out fine, I enjoyed the manicure and pedicure. This is your average nail salon without proper hygiene standards, with the expectation customers do not know that. I was a previous licensed nail technician. You cannot reuse files (even "washable" ones in the state of CA), you cannot reuse nail bits, you cannot reuse cuticle nippers or nail clippers. All of these tools need to be either new or disinfected and labelled as such. With a salon this large, I assume they would have an autoclave but perhaps not since none of the two people who worked on me took their instruments out of any pouches and simply had them in their cart. The sanding band on the mandrel bit was not changed, the nail file was obviously used. A cotton ball fell into my pedicure tub (it was still empty but I already had my feet resting there) and it was just put back into their cotton/foil container. They took out their cuticle clippers and nail clippers from a tray on their cart but I never saw them go for new ones, maybe they did but one of them had a few cuticle nippers in their cart (not in a container) which is unhygienic even if they were disinfected. Now they've been dirtied by reaching for different supplies while doing my pedicure. I don't expect much from nail salons anymore, having worked at one but I was hoping this place would be different based on the great reviews. They do wonderful designs and art but if you're looking for a salon that is actually following sanitation protocol, maybe this one is not always it. I'm still giving 3/5 because despite this, this is one of the more hygienic salons I've seen lol. read more

She's repaired cracks in nails I thought needed to be completely removed and saved me money and taught me how best to make my nails last. She's always helpful when I've been in between two nail designs or colors with great recommendations. The shape of my nails are flawless every time and I get so many compliments on my nails even weeks after seeing her. I love Lanicure! I have been going there since they opened and it is the best nail salon in LA that I have been to, regardless of price point. The front desk staff is friendly and efficient, they offer your a variety of beverages, and the place is always clean. The nail techs are all very professional, and talented! Tristan in particular has been doing my nails for a few years now (Gel-X), and he is not only technically very proficient, but also an amazing artist with an eye for detail. TLDR; Waited 30 minutes after appointment time to get poorly done $200 mani pedi for two and rushed out the door. My boyfriend and I came in for manicures and pedicures. He had called and tried to make an appointment for 5pm, but they were booked and scheduled us for 6pm instead. We arrived at 6:05 and were greeted immediately. The receptionist was very friendly, the salon was clean and smelled fantastic, and they have a great selection of complimentary drinks. We really, really wanted to make this our forever salon and my issue is not with the salon itself, but rather the quality of service. Nobody started on my gel pedicure until 6:30pm and they didn't start on my boyfriend until after my pedicure was finished. I wouldn't have minded waiting had it not felt like our nail techs rushed through our services. My pedicure was done so quickly, and my toe nails were all filed to noticeably different shapes and sizes. My gel manicure was well done but after closer inspection upon leaving, the design isn't mirrored when it's supposed to be... It's a small detail I feel was missed because they were rushing to get us out of there. My boyfriend's was even worse. The nail tech rushed through the filing, leaving jagged edges (see picture) and hardly touched the cuticles. Afterward, he had to go home and file them himself. He got a design on just the thumbnails which, while simple, sometimes takes a few tries to get right. Each time he asked them to try again, the tech got more and more frustrated with him, and was very obviously complaining about him to the other nail techs. At a certain point, the nail tech got so frustrated that someone else (who was great) had to come in and fix the design for her. I get that they close at 7pm, but if you're going to take a booking at 6pm and seat us late, then it's your responsibility to give the same service you would to someone who came in at 3pm on a slow day. We paid full price for the service, and got a half-priced job. I would like to think the service would be better if they weren't so busy, but it's hard to say given the disappointing experience we had. We wanted to like this place, but rushing customers through a service they're paying for and have to see on their body every single day is a huge bummer. We always tip our nail techs at least 20%, but we were so dissatisfied that we only tipped 15%, and even that felt generous for what we received. Morning update: My boyfriend was complaining about the top of his feet hurting last night after his pedicure. He said the tech scrubbed the top of his feet really hard, and this morning his skin on the top of his foot is literally scratched/raw. read more
