I've had better customer service at the DMV. The movers left multiple belongings of ours behind. They gave us a quote after a thorough walk through and when the actual movers showed up they added 110 square feet to the estimate (over $1000 more). I tried getting someone on the phone to contest this but they suddenly weren't answering the phone at 9am on a Monday. After finally getting Jose on the phone and explaining the price increase AND belongings being left behind, he promised up and down that his supervisor would call and figure out getting the price back down. He also promised my stuff would arrive quickly because we were immediately available to receive at our new place. Luis called me unrepentant about the situation and refused to do anything to make it better. He called me a liar when I said the movers had left behind certain things (an Electrolux vacuum, a swiffer, a broom, a dustpan and brush, and several exercise weights). At this point I had been in my new apartment for three weeks with no answer on when my stuff would arrive. Our stuff finally arrived weeks after driving as quickly as possible across country so we could be there to receive our things. The movers dropped our stuff off and quickly left. A bunch of stuff is broken and I have yet to hear anything on how they're going to compensate for everything they put us through. If you want to be scammed out of $10,000, be treated like absolute dirt, and have a bunch of stuff broken and thrown into the back of a truck for weeks, you should definitely call these guys.

The best movers in town. True heroes that saved the day ten times over!!! Thanks y'all!!!

Excellent experience with LAP movers. Professional services across the board. I had to move in a pinch and was recommended to LAP movers by a friend. I called three days before I had to vacate my apartment and was stunned to hear how reasonable their quote was for what they offered. Every person I spoke with over the phone was quick to respond, helpful, kind and scheduled me for my move the very next morning. The team of movers themselves were absolutely wonderful! They truly went above and beyond, saving my life amongst all the chaos of the last minute move. With my mind truly frazzled, I even forgot my keys to my new place back across town and their team literally helped me to get in to my spot - like how awesome is that?!?! I couldn't be a bigger fan of the LAP team and services. Will certainly use them again and recommend to anyone that will listen! Y'all do fantastic work and I'm so happy for your immense help!

They did ask to receive a video of everything heavy that will be put in the truck. I definitely recommend that you include every single item in the video, because even with the biggest truck that they had, we still had overflow. For reference, we are a family of four, with two little kids in a three bedroom / two bathroom house. The price point was pretty reasonable and they were flexible, given the fact that they are located in Los Angeles, and we wanted them to come up to the Bay Area to help us move down to the Los Angeles area. They called us the day before to confirm all the details. When we realized that the truck was over the weight limit, Yana quickly called us to give us a couple of options. We opted for another truck to meet the first truck, to distribute the weight. It was an extra cost, but reasonable, considering the issue at hand. These guys were efficient and quick. We apparently have a ton of stuff lol. They originally mentioned that it would take 3 to 4 hours to move everything into the truck, but in reality, it took approximately 5-6 hours. They were punctual and even got there five minutes before the agreed-upon time. I wasn't there when they brought in everything, but my husband said that they did an amazing job at putting the boxes where they were supposed to be, based on our labeled boxes. They reassembled everything, no problem. I called 5 to 6 moving companies, and we are happy that we decided to go with this company, given the communication, efficiency, and price point. If you need movers, this is the company to go with.

Boyyy when I say quicks I mean they are QUICKS. My bf and I were still doing last minute packing (I know.. I know.. we tried HAHA it was only like two boxes left), but they came earlier than our set time to quickly pack our things up and move it out. I was being a little spaz bc moving stress, but they were very patient, thorough, and easy to work with throughout the whole process. We had a lot of things to pack into his new apartment (dressers, drawers, couch, tables, etc.) and they pretty much played tetris with our furniture and boxes LOLLLL. My boyfriend is a strong man but damn I see the way they lift these things and I'm like o.o you're STRONG STRONG LOL. They were very careful with our items (wrapped em up w the plastic wrap stuff or put in wooden boxes) and everything came back to OC on time and safe! I never thought I would recommend a moving company.... but LMAO here it is, I will def use them if I ever decide to get out of the OC bubble. Price wise, def communicate with them, I feel like the price reflects well considering how much stuff we had and distance compared to other companies and their service was 10/10.

We were on a budget and were given a competitive quote. I had a lot of questions and they were always available to answer. On the day we moved out their crew arrived on time to our apartment and got to business! I had A LOT of things and so did my boyfriene. They handled all of my belongings and valuables with respect. For my fragile items, they used wooden crates and wrapped them to ensure that they wouldn't be damaged during transportation. When we arrived in California, the team took their time with placing all my items in the places I wanted them to be. I never felt that they were rushing and they were always accommodating. They have my highest recommendation since they did everything flawlessly and fast! The quality and attention to detail is worth every penny. This definitely won't be my last time with them!

A CAUTIONARY TALE: My husband and I hired Osmon Movers for a…read moremove from LA to the Bay Area on 4/1/22. They arrived the week of, as we hired them to assist with packing and loading as well. We purchased additional insurance to protect ourselves from accidental damage but little did we know that we would soon be receiving a ransacked truck with many of our belongings missing or damaged to the tune of over $15,000. For clarity, our move was a 3-day process. Osmon's team sent 3 employees to pack on Wednesday, 4 employees to load our belongings on Thursday, and they were expected to deliver 4 employees and the 24' truck full of our belongings on Friday morning at 9 am. On Wednesday, during packing, the foreman demanded that we pay for parking at an $80 fee. They used the boxes we had, and then supplemented a limited amount of packing supplies at a total of over $400. Two items were broken by their employees. We paid in full for the day's work + tips for the employees. On Thursday, the truck was packed and it was time to pay for the day's work. The foreman requested a 25% tip, stating that this was the standard practice. When my husband declined to fulfill this request (the move was estimated to be $5000 total at this point, and $1000 in tips on top of paying approximately $76/hr/employee was far from what we deemed as reasonable) he became visibly angry. My husband attempted to thank him, and still paid for the day's work and provided over $50 in tips per employee. The foreman turned away from him without a word and gathered his belongings to leave. As per the website, the standard tip is $4-6/hr/employee. The information provided by the foreman was a blatant lie. At this point, we were beginning to get frustrated by the lack of transparency, professionalism, and honesty displayed but we continued on as normal. The next morning, we were expected to meet the new moving crew at 9 am at our new apartment. By 9:40, we still had not received contact from anyone on their team. My husband called the foreman from the previous days, and said, "The driver had an emergency and you're not going to get your stuff today. Someone will call you in 30 minutes." He then hung up on us without explanation. We contacted customer service approximately 3-4 times as they would not provide us with a clear answer as to what had happened to the driver or our belongings. I was kept on hold for over a half-hour, hung up on, and ultimately not contacted until almost 12 noon with any explanation at all. Apparently, their truck was stolen at 7 am, and no one told us until 5 hours later. We were instructed to use our homeowner's insurance because "moving company insurance isn't that good," as per their customer service representative Joan. If we wouldn't have called I really don't know when they would have contacted us. At 10 pm that night, I get a text from a new number saying that the truck was recovered. Apparently, it was from the owner, who had not contacted us prior and did not introduce himself as the owner. It wasn't until the following day that we were advised that the truck was parked at a hotel in Oakland (which is unbelievably notorious for car theft and break-in) when it was stolen. We were told that it looked like the only thing that was stolen was a TV, which as per the pictures is impossible. (We would soon see that the first 10-12 ft of the truck were completely destroyed.) We asked for delivery first thing the next morning, and were told that they couldn't do it because they already had something planned for the morning. At this point, I heard no concern for our belongings, our experience, or that this company wanted to right the wrong that happened on their watch. We paid them thousands of dollars to be entrusted with literally all of our belongings - irreplaceable wedding gifts, family heirloom items, furniture, antiques, art, clothing, baby pictures, everything. Of the belongings that were returned, many were destroyed, stained, and haphazardly dumped into mixed boxes. Once the remainder of our things were unloaded, I was immediately pressed for an inventory of missing items and to sign a new contract. After all of this, the company expected (1) immediate payment, (2) a concrete list of items missing without ample time to inventory the mess they delivered, and (3) to sign a contract stating that I had received a complete and substantial service. I firmly believe that this was an attempt to further skirt liability as the next time I spoke with the owner, Janysh, he informed me that even though our contract explicitly states that we had additional insurance to cover the items in full, his team failed to file the request with their 3rd party insurance provider. Time and time again, we were made to feel as if our experience and belongings were the last thing on their mind. They are refusing to cover the $15k in loss/damages, and we are now forced to file a breach of contract lawsuit to recuperate our losses.

The Magic Carpet Ride of Moving!…read more Ever wished Aladdin's genie could conjure up a moving experience that was actually fun? Well, rub that magic lamp because Osmon Moving & Storage is the wish-granted, laugh-packed moving day you never thought possible! I called in these magicians for my recent move and, folks, my belongings might as well have sprouted wings. They didn't just move my stuff; they practically choreographed a Broadway number with my furniture. My hefty bookcase? Glided into the truck like a prima ballerina. My unwieldy mattress? Floated up the stairs as if it was lighter than a feather. They say they move your life, and boy, do they deliver--handling my vinyl records with the kind of reverence usually reserved for royal jewels or the last slice of pizza. Precision, you ask? Their quote was so accurate, I thought they had a crystal ball. Efficiency? They were quicker than a cat on a Roomba, buzzing around with an energy that had me double-checking my calendar for the next full moon. What's more, the attention to detail would make Sherlock Holmes nod in approval. While they packed, I half-expected them to find Waldo hiding in my closet. My plants arrived at my new place more refreshed than if they'd spent a week at a spa, and not a single glass was missing from my collection of quirky mugs. In the end, moving with Osmon Moving & Storage was like a hilarious night in with friends, where you accidentally get a whole lot of work done. If you're looking to relocate and actually enjoy the journey, give these folks a call. It's the best decision since sliced bread met the toaster. Two enthusiastic thumbs up for a move so smooth, my houseplants didn't even drop a leaf!
