Dr. KJ came to my home to help me say goodbye to my beloved dog, Candy, and I truly cannot put into words how grateful I am for her. This was the most difficult experience of my life, but she made it as peaceful and comforting as it could possibly be--for both me and, most importantly, for Candy. From the moment she arrived, Dr. KJ was incredibly gentle, patient, and understanding. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She took the time to explain everything clearly and never rushed me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She gave me all the time I needed to be with Candy, which meant everything.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] What stood out most was the care and dignity she showed throughout the entire process. She treated Candy with such kindness and respect from beginning to end, and that is something I will always hold close to my heart. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After the appointment, I emailed her with a few concerns and emotions I was struggling with, and she responded with such a thoughtful, heartfelt message.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That level of care and compassion--even after everything was done--meant more to me than I can express. It truly shows how deeply she cares about both her patients and their families. Choosing in-home euthanasia was the best decision I could have made for Candy, and Dr. KJ made that experience as peaceful and loving as possible. I am forever thankful to her for helping my girl pass so gently.

I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Amy and our overall experience with Lap of Love. We found out that our little buddy was terminally ill, quite unexpectedly. From the moment the Lap of Love team answered our panicked and sobbing call, to the hand delivery of our buddy's ashes, every need was cared for and consideration taken. The intake person for our case was exceptionally compassionate, calm, and calming. Especially important as I choked out my needs having just been informed of our companion's diagnosis. The follow-up emails, gentle calls, and text messages were kind and not at all invasive. Dr. Amy texted when on her way to our home, just to check in on our needs. She messaged as she parked and told us we could take our time, as our loved one decided to hide under the bed. She entered our home with an aura of love and compassion, answered our many questions about his condition (our panic at our own vet meant we didn't ask certain questions, and Dr. Amy patiently listened and gently confirmed our path forward), and walked us through the process. She first provided an overview of "cloud nine" and the next steps, and then walked us through step by step as we took those actions. Dr. Amy made sure that each member of our family, myself (I'd adopted Coal as a kitten), my husband (Coal's "I don't like cats but I like you" best friend), and my stepdaughter (Coal's most beloved snuggle partner), felt part of and was OK with each step taken. I was able to hold my best furry friend as he moved from one world to the next, and Dr. Amy patiently helped us through each element of the process. As he left, she kindly told us he was at peace, and then let us grieve. She offered a paw print, hair clipping, and let us take photos. She brought beautiful basket to transport him in, and told us "he rides in the front seat with me." Those words helped me know (as if I didn't already!) that my dear kitty was cared for as if he was her own. We walked Coal out, and as Dr. Amy opened the car door I saw that the passenger side was decorated with flowers. Such a small and touching gesture. Coal was returned to us kindly hand delivered by the cremation partner in a beautiful, engraved box, that has pride of place in his favorite snoozing spot. Thank you Lap of Love, Dr. Amy, and Faithful Companion Cremation, for taking such careful and compassionate care of Coal in his final stages. He was a special little guy and you treated him as such. I truly can't thank you enough.

Miley was our 1-2 month hospice foster dog that decided to be a fighter and live another 2.5 years, such a good girl! Unfortunately, her battle with cancer and other issues led us to schedule a euthanasia due to a decline in quality of life. Laps of Love was kind and purposeful with their communication. Phone calls felt genuine in their expression of understanding and compassion for our sadness (even just in the scheduling process). Dr. Amy performed Miley's euthanasia and was so gentle and thoughtful, allowing us time and space to grieve throughout, as well as followed up with us a few days later. In case you think this is a nice review just due to the emotions of euthanizing, unfortunately this is my 3rd dog who I have euthanized and I did not leave a review for the first 2. If you have a pet where you are scheduling a euthanasia in advance (not a sudden decision made in the ER) you owe it to them to do an at home euthanasia with Laps of Love.

During these trying times Lap of Love made the process easy. Dr Kylie's bedside manner was very caring and she went above and beyond to help us capture this moment.

Cancelled not once, but twice for an appointment with a dog that is suffering and offered unsolicited medical advice. Very unprofessional.

The kindest and most gentle group to assist in ending pet suffering. They made a very bad day, bearable. Thank you.

I don't mind paying a lot for veterinary services, but this company -- and I blame the company, not…read morethe vets -- charged me well over $200 for a visit in which nothing happened. My cat hissed once and ran into a corner and that was pretty much it.  For context, this was my easy cat. The one they've cooed over at my regular vet's office. It's not fair to say that the mobile vet even took a look at her, because she was wrapped in a towel when I brought her over and she ran into the corner as soon as I put her down. The vet then immediately gave up and said she'd come back when my cat was drugged double or triple the medically recommended dosage (with either the new drug she dispensed or my existing stock of gabapentin). But they still charged me $75 for a visual exam. I am happy to pay for the medication the vet dispensed and was even willing to pay the travel fee to compensate her for her time. But paying nearly $100 because she glanced at a cat hidden under a towel? Come on. I called and asked for my money back and was told I should be grateful the vet didn't charge me for a hands-on exam she never performed. Because, I guess, as long as we're charging for services we didn't really provide, why not? The person I spoke to made it clear the vet was just following company policy in charging me hundreds of dollars to come to my house for ten minutes and perform no exams nor provide the service I had requested. Note that the company requires you to schedule a hundred-plus-dollar exam on top of the travel fee just to get a nail trim (oh, and of course they charge you for the nail trim, too) -- which is all I really wanted. Highway robbery. And I say that as someone who will spend a ridiculous amount of money on her cats. The only reason this is not a one-star review is because a different team did a thorough job in a previous visit with my other cat. But that team is no longer available. No, I am not going to schedule another nearly $300 appointment and drug my petite cat into oblivion so you can walk away again if she looks at you the wrong way. Shame that this company insists on penny wise, pound foolish policies. They could have had a regular customer paying over $400 every three months if they had been honest rather than charging me for services they didn't provide. Instead, they got to play me once and notch one more bad Yelp review warning other pet owners not to get scammed.

Dr. Novatto and the vet tech were very upbeat and helpful, and made a good fuss over both the fur…read morebabies.
