We go to Ogunquit every August and the 1st place we eat at is here! Food is awesome, helpings are plenty for one, service is fast. In Winter of 2015, the place got a face lift and it looks great now! Incredible Pizza. The dough they've got at La Pizzeria is just insanely fresh and delectable. I don't do pizza, but if there's Hawaiian on the menu, I always give in. I'm so glad I caved. Un.be.lieve.able! Yummy pizza fresh crust and toppings. We ordered at 7:30 on a friday for delivery and honestly expected to wait an hour or more. Had dinner at La Pizzeria the other night and it was very good. I had the garden salad and lobster pizza! It was all very good. The salad was very good, more then just our basic garden salad it even included olives and a pepperoncini. we came here Saturday afternoon starving looking for something to share amongst the three of us. We were seated right away. We were asked if we'd like to sit inside or outside on the porch. We sat outside since it was beautiful outside. We ordered our drinks and for pizza we got half cheese and half margarita pizza! it was so delicious. The waitress was really nice and very professional. We didn't have to wait long to get our check at the end and we were served promptly. We come to ogunquit about 5 or 6 times a year! The food was good and the owner was very pleasant, welcoming us when we arrived. Our waitress (Taylor) wasn't very good at all, she left mid-way through our food order and didn't acknowledge it when I mentioned how strange it was. Coming from New Jersey, I consider myself a bit of a pizza expert. This place did not disappoint and fully exceeded my expectations. We were greeted by the owner and his amazing staff and enjoyed wings and lobster stuffed mushrooms as appetizers. As a 30 year veteran of the Hotel and Restaurant industry, it takes a lot for me to write a negative review, but if any one of these issues were the only one, I would not. So many flies, I had to put a spare plate over my pizza, I was charged extra for something I expressed did not seem right, the response, "I don't know, I just work here." And finally, one of my biggest pet peeves, being charged for refill on a fountain soda, especially when it is offered, "would you like a refill" and it is not expressed that there is a charge. The salads were nice, with fresh greens and cranberries, but needed more dressing. The pizza was very good, and the small pizza easily fed the two of us. But we wished for more clams. The clams were sweet and fresh, and the crust was nice. Service was OK, but we had to ask for water several times before they responded. Wine by the glass is reasonably priced. Ordered a small cheese pizza for three people. Let me tell you it was more than enough! On the menu it states small is 6 slices and a large is 8. When you divide 6 by 3 it's 2 slices per a person which is more than enough. Our waitress can't remember her name, but she had red hair immediately coughed an attitude with us since we only wanted a small cheese pizza. She was like of like "seriously?" with a look of disgusted. Then proceeded to say "well I guess if you guys are still hungry you could always order more food, but we recommend a small pizza for a max of two people." Then I proceed to tell her "nope it's really okay we're still going with a small cheese pizza," and again rudely she was like "really? For 3 people?" So long story short pizza was really just OK. We were shopping today at Spoiled Rotten and they recommended Lapizzeria for lunch and are we happy as can be from the wonderful service from Angela and the amazing thin crust pizza with portabella mushrooms and fresh basil. My family has been vacationing in Maine for a long time. Our favorite place to visit and eat at is La Pizzeria. The atmosphere is very warm the staff is always happy and friendly and the food is fabulous!!!! There are not many places where you can get all of that in one visit. I am pretty sure dining there as often as we have we have tasted pretty much everything and everything is excellent. Trust me, when your Italian and you bring a huge Italian family in to eat at La Pizzeria and everyone leaves full and happy --then thats one heck of a place.!! I have been eating at La Pizzeria for years! The food is delicious! They are always consistent with what they serve, which I definitely appreciate as a regular customer. My husband and I got a Margarita pizza and a White Lobster. They were outstanding as usual. If you are lucky enough to eat there more than once, definitely try their homemade lasagna or eggplant parm. Yum! Also, the service is great. We had Elyse wait on us this past Saturday, and she was so personable and attentive as usual! Prices are very reasonable compared to other pizza joins in the area to other restaurants in the area. My husband and I were travelling from Boston up to Berwick, ME to see a play that our niece was performing in. On the way up from MA, our car broke down and needed service. We ended up in LA Pizzeria while we waited to have our car looked at. The friendly staff including the manager made us feel so welcome it took our minds off the car troubles that we were facing. Great spot! Pizza's thin crust is absolutely perfect, the margherita pizza is not greasy at all. The Ceasar Salad was perfect too. The only thing that went wrong happened to another couple sitting behind us : they ordered two small pizzas and ended up eating only one and a quarter. If you're two, order either a small one for a light lunch or one 16''. The waitress should have told them about the size...We thought it was a little cheap coming from the waitress. My family and I were waiting to be seated for over 30 minutes. The hostess said "three more parties are ahead of you." After at least six more parties proceeded to sit my family of four and I were still waiting. When another family of four got called before us, we asked "What about our party of four?" The hostess claims that the family was before us, which was not true. We were waiting longer than they were. The same party, asked us if we were in line waiting and continued to put their name in to be seated. We told the hostess to forget it, we are leaving. As we were leaning, a waiter sarcastically yelled, "good night" to us as we were walking away. He did not care that he just lost business from us. The hostess did not know what she was doing. Kept telling people random times. Spoke so softly that you could barely hear her. Next time, I would suggest hiring staff that knows what they are doing and using a better communication system with the staff. We will not be returning again. read more

Ordered take out which instead of taking the promised 40 minutes took nearly an hour and a half (with no explanation or apology). When it finally did arrive it was ice cold which made it taste even more like a frozen pizza - flavorless cheese with no pull, overly spiced sauce which drowned out the taste of tomato if there even was any and a completely flavorless crust. An underrated gem in the heart of downtown Ogunquit. I've eaten here probably 15 times and have never not loved my pizza. The Chicken & Artichoke is a definite favorite - it's inspired us to make the same recipe at home. Servers are smart, friendly, and professional. It can get busy in the summer, so try to come away from peak times, especially if you want to sit outside. I highly, highly recommend showing up around 8:30. snagging a table outside, and watch the family beach resort power down and the gay nightlife begin. read more
