However, the labeling is atrocious and it's often hard to tell what each item is (like, the churros were labeled as tacos). I think they are just always shifting things around, so they must have trouble keeping up with things. I wish they had a bit more variety of vegetables for the buffet that aren't part of a final dish (like in an enchilada). It's mostly just meats there. A few of the things seem a bit suspect, too. The smaller make-your-own tacos have sad looking ground beef and "queso." But I guess that's to be expected at the "American style" taco part of the buffet. I see that some reviews have mentioned there being grilled veggies, but that was not around on the day we were there. I'm not sure if that's a part of the menu you can order from, or if there's just that much variety in what they offer day-to-day. What's not to be missed, though, and it very good, are the fresh tortillas and made-to-order street tacos. Very yummy. I could just eat the tortillas all day. Best of all, everyone there is very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. If the labeling were a bit better and some more vegetables (beyond salad), I think it would be 5 stars. As is, I'd give it 4.5.

FOOD There was complimentary chips and salsa. It was okay. I started craving a stuffed sopapilla ($17.99) as soon as I saw it on the menu. The pork was so tender and the green sauce I requested was full of flavor. Highly recommend this meal. My daughter asked for the quesadillas ($12.49) from the appetizers. It was strange that in the middle of the triangular goodies with requested ground beef was a huge pool of red sauce. She enjoyed the side of guacomole ($1.99). My SO had the steak Mexicana ($17.99) which he seemed to enjoy. My other daughter had the shrimp Mexicana ($17.99). She gobbled the shrimp. I tried her beans and rice which I didn't have with my own meal. They were pretty good. SERVICE I really enjoyed meeting the owner. He came to our table and helped clean up some water my daughter accidentally spilled. The only thing I wish that had happened that evening was that all of our meals would have been served all at once. They were spread out minutes apart. AMBIANCE The parking lot was in construction as of 5/26/2023. Inside, the place may be small, yet, there were large and small tables and booths. It's a seat yourself type of place. There were vibrant colors everywhere. A white board with their daily specials was on the wall near the kitchen. I wish I had seen it earlier. Finally, no background music, yet, there was a flat screen with some kid-friendly movies playing. MY RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 4 | Service: 4 | Ambiance: 4 | Price: 3

On…read moreour walk there, however, we were drawn in by the incredible aroma coming from Woody's Q Shack. After reading the excellent reviews, we decided to have lunch there and save the brewery for drinks only. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly staff member who explained the daily lunch special: a pulled pork sandwich, fries, and a drink. It sounded like a great value, so we ordered two specials along with a serving of the banana pudding for dessert. The pulled pork sandwich was served without sauce, allowing us to customize it from several barbecue sauce options available at the self serve counter. The pork was flavorful and tender, the fries were crispy, and the banana pudding was a delicious finishing touch that definitely hit the spot. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the value of the lunch special. One thing to note is that a 3% fee is added for credit card purchases, and the restrooms are reserved for customers only. Overall, this was a fortunate and memorable find. The food was satisfying, the service was friendly, and the value was excellent. I would highly recommend Woody's Q Shack to anyone traveling through south-central Colorado and looking for authentic barbecue.

I found the coffee to be decent and the sandwiches themselves were okay in terms of flavor, but the prices felt rather high for what we actually received. My main disappointment came after half a day of strenuous activities in the park when we finally opened the packaging to find teeny sandwiches with really small portion sizes. Even after eating them, we were still quite hungry, which was frustrating since we needed a filling meal to keep our energy up. While the quality of the food and drinks wasn't bad, the combination of high prices and tiny portions just didn't deliver the value we needed for a park day.

Loved how cute this shop was - it had so much character to enjoy. Thankful they opened so early at 7am so we were able to get some coffee. They had a great drink menu - from just coffee and espresso options to tea to blended drinks. Grabbed a Matcha and London Fog - not the best we've ever had, but still tasty and a good start to the morning. Also had nice breakfast options. Comfy seating options. We were able to grab a nice couch to sit and enjoy. They also had free Wi-fi and clean bathrooms. Street parking was easy to find. Overall, a good choice for your morning coffee!
