The quality of the ingredients was very good, the meats were grilled well but still nice and tender, the service was good. Portion sizes were generous. Still there was very little Tex or Mex flavor on my plate. Even the deliciously fresh salsa was amazingly mild. This restaurant is located in a shopping center so parking is free and plentiful. Chips and salsa are free. Chips are light and slightly salted. Salsa is somewhat chunky and has an ok taste but it does need a few more spices. Ordered the guacamole appetizer. Didn't like to large chips that came with this. Too thick and greasy. So I used the chips that came with the salsa. Guacamole was good but again needed a few more spices to make it great. My entrée was the chicken soft tocos. Came with 3. On the side was guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, and diced tomatoes & onions. The sides were refried beans and rice. This dish had plenty of flavor. read more

Fantastic food and service! Went for the first time ever on Friday, loved it so much we went back Saturday and I got the same thing both times - broiled tilapia Cancun with a side salad. I've been by this place hundreds of times and my gym is close by. NEVER gave it a shot despite poking my head in a few times. So worth it. Grabbed a seat at the small bar and delve into their Loma Saltado chicken. It was huge and great chunks and pieces of fresh chicken crinkle cut fries with all the fixins. My husband introduced me to Laredo. Growing up in Texas he says their food is the closest to authentic. I've never had a problem with service. Staff is always very friendly and quick with refilling drinks. If you want a bar I wouldn't go here. The bar is small, but the food makes up for it. We always have the guacamole appetizer with the fresh fried chips. Delicious! I've tried everything from tamales to tacos to enchiladas and chimichangas. You can't go wrong. My family and I come here so often that the staff remember us! The service is outstanding. When I was younger, I used to hide my water glass because the waiters would come around to refill our waters so frequently (one time, I drank 4 glasses of water there and couldn't eat any of my dinner!). I always order the tamal de elote (corn tamal) appetizer and cheese quesadillas. The tamal de elote is delicious with sour cream. So good. My family and I have been here about three times and love this place. We're big fans of Mexican food, and Laredo Grill offers typical Mexican dishes as well as El Salvadorian foods. The restaurant itself is pretty small. All the times I have been, it has not been super busy, but it might get a bit cramped during busy times. The servers are all very kind and helpful. I really enjoy the food as well. My favorite dish is the Beef Enchilada, and it's always been well-prepared and fresh. We often bring friends along and relax with a pitcher of sangria on the outdoor patio, or enjoy a cold beer at the small bar in the dining room. Be sure to try the Pescado Frito, a deliciously crispy fried fish, usually red snapper or flounder, that has never disappointed! Other highlights of the menu include jumbo shrimp stuffed with crab, slow roasted pork ribs, delicious chimichangas and a very tempting chile relleno. Of course there are the standard fajitas, tacos and enchiladas that have garnered many fans judging by the dining room full of loyal customers. I was about to give 5 stars, but decided I really need to reserve that extra star for a Disney-like ambiance, gourmet meals I can get nowhere else, and waiters hovering discreetly over my table throughout the meal. Its not quite that. Laredo Grill offers mostly the usual Mexican cuisine, but what sets it apart from the other Mexican restaurants in the area is that everything they serve is consistently very good. Its the one spot we can fall back on if we can't decide where to go for dinner, and know that we'll enjoy our meal. Almost ironically, everyone in the establishment seems to be *Mexican*! Well, gosh'n'gollies, how often does that happen? Its a small place, that doubles its seating in the summer when they can seat some people outside overlooking the parking lot. The kitchen is barely separated from the dining area, The staff is all very courteous, naturally friendly, and attentive within the limits of their time. You will always get the requisite chips and salsa as soon as you sit down. The salsa is one of my favorites, so we're off to a good start in my book. Sure - order some drinks - the have a full bar. Very limited seating *at* the bar, but they are fully stocked, plus local and Latin favorites. I come for diner, not to drink. I hesitate to suggest any appetizers, since it usually means I can't finish dinner. But they are tasty treats, and often a way to get samples of the entrees. I'm a sucker for enchiladas, and have had them all, plus many of the other entrees. All are very good. And if you 'd like it a little spicier, or with an extra dab of sour cream, just ask - that's the nice thing about a small place. But what's really impressive is the sides. Beans, rice, salad.. nothing unusual except that they're all very good. I prefer the frijoles to the black beans, because I love the extra flavor imparted in the second cooking. Rice? Good grief - that's the item I usually leave on the plate. But this rice is seasoned Mexican rice and really worth eating! And then there's the salad - the usual mix of tomato, onion, cilantro on a bed of lettuce, always fresh, and you'll also get a helping of guacamole and sour cream. Thanks to the fact that I like everything on the plate, I'm often too full for dessert. They don't have an extensive dessert menu, but all the usual Mexican treats, freshly made and very good, like everything else. The bill for two will come to about $30-$40, which I think quite reasonable for this area. Laredo Grill doesn't benefit from crowds of shoppers or movie-goers who drop in because they're in the area. They're at the far edge of a shopping mall dominated by a exercise gym and an Oriental grocery. People have to make a point of coming here for the food, and they do.. read more

Laredo Grill is handling the safe table spacing nicely. The dining and bar areas are always spotlessly clean and bright. Our server, Adam, was spot on great for fast and effective service. Adam and the other staff are friendly with up-beat good personalities. I had the Mex combo plate with crisp beef tacos and cheese chili rellenos. Wife had the big salad, very expertly made and tasty. Excellent selections of drinks. I had a fresh cold Corona. A friend, another restaurant owner, from a nearby successful restaurant showed up to chat at the bar and he had a glass of the "bar special" red wine. Have not been there in awhile. Sign outside in Spanish and looked empty so when door open asked manager if they are still open. He looked so insulted and almost didn't answer. I didn't mean to come across wrong and I was very pleasant to him. My date said the same. Thought sign may have said closed for some reason. there was a table way in back, so just looked like it. Got combo fajitas and meats were so overcooked and dry. Took home but probably won't eat. Nasty after taste. My margarita was fine, but date's was watery. The food was okay. I got the beef chimichangas: the beef was dry without much flavor. It was also much smaller than chimichangas I have had at other restaurants. The rice and beans were good, but nothing to rave about. For nearly $13, I expected much better. I did like that they serve chips and salsa with carryout meals, and the side condiments (guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo) were fresh and tasty. The staff was very nice. It was our first time here. We arrived Saturday night around 5:00. Moderate crowd. They bring the chips and salsa out first. Reviews are right about the salsa, not great at all and our chips were stale. We ordered the chili con queso and asked for fresher chips. It didn't disappoint. So delicious! I got the skinny Cadillac margarita. It means that it is made without the sugary margarita mix, just fresh lime juice. Highly recommend! So good! He got the combo fajitas and loved the dish. I got a la carte soft corn tacos. They were equally delicious. Service was excellent so we will definitely be coming back! read more

I hadn't been to Laredo Grill in quite a while, but am so happy to be back. So many margaritas to choose from, but I chose the regular lime. Then the freshly made Molcajete Guacamole (not the guacamole dip which is served in a crispy flour tortilla shell), which is offered in three spice levels. I got the mild which was tasty but had no heat so next time I'll try the medium. I then had the steak quesadilla, which was an absolute standout. The steak was so tender and flavorful. I'm looking forward to the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Staff was friendly and efficient. The restaurant was nearly empty on a Sunday evening, which I attribute to the fact that it's located in a shopping center which seems to have a lot of turnover of stores and restaurants.
