We enjoy coming here after sports or meeting up with other families. It is street parking so it can be hit or miss. They have added more seating options which has helped. I was excited to hear about the Indian food cart, but it's not very authentic and lacked flavor. We miss the Greek food cart as well. It's always a fun vibe and can get pretty busy on the weekends. It's a great place to hang out, the drinks are good, and the kids always appreciate all the options. I do wish they had an ice cream food cart (the crepe cart has ice cream, but it was very limited) or a brunch/breakfast food cart (not just crepes). A nice selection of food carts, clean restrooms and plenty of seating makes this an easy food cart pod to visit, especially if you're looking for some good food! Parking can be a challenge on the main street but side street parking was available, an easy walk across the street. I had a pulled pork sandwich at Big Tasty's BBQ and I was not disappointed. Bingo on Sunday, ended at 4, band was setting up after but the lull was a mood killer, it was way too quiet. I got poke nachos and they were not good. Tortilla chips were used, should be wontons, no cilantro, no green onion, salmon and ahi was decent but crab and spicy tuna were crazy fishy, also the guy taking my order seemed to be annoyed to be working. I did also get the kids meal slider at the slider truck, and it was so delicious, amazing fries and service was top notch!! So happy that opening week is finally here for the Willamette Garage. Soft opening means that a few carts are open limited days and hours as they feel out the new space and work out the kinks. They are completing construction on the pub, so the space will continue to develop during the next couple of months. On a hot summer day, it was really pleasant to have covered outdoor seating. And lets face it, it will be essential during the the rainy months too. Nice mix of seating options with bar stools surrounding long countertops, picnic tables and lounge chairs. The majority of seating space has artificial turf which I am sure will be much more pleasing for those with pups in tow. So far very excited about the carts at the pod: Street Heat (Mexican), Electric Slider Co. (burgers and salads), The Sushi San, Pinto Thai, Platter Division (Indian Grill), and Angelina's Greek Gyros. While we have plenty of Thai and sushi options in town, particularly happy to have Indian and Greek food added to the mix. The cart pod is locally owned and at the end of the historic Willamette district. This development is on the site of a long abandoned gas station and reinvigorated the space while keeping some of the original structure. With the recent redevelopment of Willamette, there is a lot of street parking and will also be an easy walk for many Willamette residents. Happy to see that they offer seating reservations for the "Pit" (private room for 4-8 people) and the "Patio" for 20-30 people. In these COVID times it seems like a great option for outdoor social gatherings especially once the pub is up and running. read more

I've been wanting to come here for a while since I get my hair done on the same street at Mirage salon. They have a huge drink menu, including non alcoholic options, and are home to several food carts. They have fire around most of the seating and it's covered, so you can come on cold rainy days too. They even have a spot you can reserve in the back for private parties. We had the Thai food truck near the bar but look forward to trying other options in the future. read more

I have been here a few times. My experiences have been inconsistent. I've been there with great bartenders inside and a really pleasant atmosphere outside, and I have also been there with bartenders who would rather chat up their friends and check their phone instead of helping you, while kids ran unattended so you couldn't pick up your food order outside. It's a fabulous concept, and I appreciate the variety of the food choices. You can usually find a table except during peak times, but don't expect it to be super clean because folks don't bus their tables well. I will probably go back to see if I can get in at an opportune time and enjoy myself. I highly recommend walking around to make sure the current atmosphere is what you want before you order. I have had two friends recommend that I visit this food cart pod in the Willamette area of the West Linn, and I finally did so recently. I had a couple of street tacos at Street Heat and after hanging for a hours, sampled some nigiri sushi at Sushi San. The tacos were decent and the sushi was fresh. I look forward to going back to those carts, and also trying The Electric Slider Company, Pinto Thai, Indian Grill, and The Chop Shop. Amazing! They made an excellent Moscow Mule and a beautiful Irish Coffee. Then we sat fireside which was perfect on the cold evening. After seeing a yummy looking Rueben sandwich, we ordered from 'Four Corners' food cart and it did not disappoint! I'm gluten free and this was by far one of the best sandwiches ever! We visited for the first time last night, and it was packed! The weather was beautiful and it was a great space. I'll go again, but will try different carts. Here's my evaluation: The male bartender was really nice. The margarita was not great - the house made mix was definitely not fresh juice. They have a decent selection of beer and cider. It was, however, very untidy inside, and the female employee was rude as he11. Street Heat - I have never had more disgusting "guacamole" in my life. Definitely not fresh. Had the texture of wallpaper paste. The Sushi San - ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl to take home for BF. When he opened it, we were really disappointed. The chicken is chicken breast, seriously overcooked with almost no sauce. It was so dry and sauceless that we took a photo. The poke bowl was ok. Angelina's Greek - I ordered the chicken bowl - but they were out of chicken at 630pm, so I got the beef. It had WAY too much sauce on it, and I like sauce. But, there was a generous potion of all of the vegetables and the flavor was good. I will try this again. read more

I've been to the garage twice now and am so happy they've opened. I'll review the two carts I've eaten at: Street Heat (Mexican) and Electric Slide (sliders and sandwiches). First, I'll say both meals were had the very first week they opened so I'm confident that any hiccups we experienced will only get better. That said, our experience at Electric Slide was fantastic. The service was great, wait was as expected and the three different sliders we had were all fantastic and distinct in their flavor. I'd normally say they were a little pricey but with the crazy cost of everything and the fact they tasted great, I'd go back for more. Street Heat on the other hand needs to find their groove. We ordered a burrito and street tacos so we could sample their proteins. I'd have to say that I loved their menu and they're trying some interesting combinations. Unfortunately, our selections fell short on flavor and protein. We felt there was a lack of seasoning in each of the three items we ordered (even after adding their salsa). The meat in the burrito was lacking. In this case, the high cost (burrito) did not feel justified. I'll chalk this up to the new opening and will go back next month after I've tried all the carts. I love Mexican food and really want them to be successful. I hope to add a glowing review next month. read more

Great atmosphere and food choices! The only complaint is it says they open at 11am, which they don't. We got there at 11 for lunch and NO food carts were open. Most of them did not open until 11:30 or 11:45. It would be a good idea to change the hours and maybe put the word "approximately" next to the opening time? Just an idea. Overall the Willamette Garage is a nice addition to "downtown" West Linn, but the prices are higher than your average West Linn restaurant which are of course higher than most Portland locations. I paid $18 for a slightly above average burrito maybe it can be blamed on inflation but i feel the same burrito would be $5-10 anywhere else. Wife loved her Pad thai and she got a decent sized serving from there but also paid more than the average thai restaurant. read more
