Food is fair priced and delicious. Service lady is nice, so I have been telling my friends about this place. Nothing to complain about. At all. Try it!!!!

Let's talk tacos and a "Taco Thursday" special for $2 any taco. Who needs Taco Tuesday when you roll with 2 buck tacos on a Thursday. We did lunch and we were the only people there during the week. Finally another couple of people walked in. Why isn't this place busier? I know their food truck rocks it but this place should be packed. I ordered one chicken, one pork and one steak taco with the avocado super fixin's. I opted for no tortilla (trying to low carb) and the plating was incredible as well as the taco innards. I couldn't decide which meat I liked most. I like that they cut the pieces small and put a crisp on it for more texture. The salsas they had with the chips were a mild pico and a spicy green sauce. The chips were light and I had to try at least one. You know a place is the real deal when they serve tongue and tripe as meat options. I am torn whether I want everyone to know about this place but I also want to make sure it has enough business to be viable. Oh the hell with it let everyone know that this place has great food at reasonable prices!

Taco de cabeza with a taco de pastor sneaking around the back

I was driving into town and had to pick something up at Target, and I had a hankering for something that wouldn't take too long, wasn't too expensive, and was most importantly, tasty. Google maps lead me here, and unassuming looking restaurant where I ordered two tacos and some salsa. I feel like the way that restaurant serves their tacos says a lot about who they are catering to and what they value. What I learned today is that 7 Estrellas values quality, detail, and fresh food. The tortillas were warm, softe on the inside, with a crispy edge, and had wonderful structural integrity with every bite. The taco de cabeza was perfectly cooked and hot, and especially with the green salsa on top, I am salivating reliving this meal. The pastor was full of spices and I love the crispy little edges of pastored but it wasn't particularly spicy if that is what you look for. I enjoyed the green salsa and you should definitely get some of that with your meal. I am glad that I stopped here, and I think I found my top go to taco place in Bayview.

Amazing tacos! Great margaritas, definitely order the premium or super margaritas when you go, they are the best. Fast and wonderful service. Might not be a place you'd think of for your taco Tuesday but definitely one to consider next time!

Two $2 tacos during the taco Tuesday special, along with a lengua burrito

This location was recommended to me by a patient of mine and it did not disappoint! What a great find! My significant other and I came in on a Tuesday, and they have a $2 taco Tuesday and Thursday deal! Their special tacos, which are filled with guacamole and protein of your choice are only $2 as well! I tried the horchata and it was tasty! Once seated, they always offer warm chips and salsa. I ordered two tacos and my boyfriend ordered a lengua burrito! The food was very filling and flavorful. Since this visit, I have been back with my friends and we enjoyed the food here as well!

This is one of my favorite places. Yep. The food and the customer service here are both phenomenal. It's a small business so the owner comes to know customers by name and face. The owner Jorge is always a pleasure to see. There is counter seating and table and chair seating. There is often music playing and television behind the bar/counter that plays Spanish speaking sports or sitcoms. There is unique, local art work on the walls. During warm weather there may be a few tables for dining outside. I can't say enough good things about the food here. Everything is really fresh and flavorful. Many dishes are made homemade. This is the first and the only Mexican restaurant that I've ever been to that has fresh, homemade tortilla chips. Tonight, they were still a little warm even! Often, tortillas are homemade. This is my favorite guacamole in all of Milwaukee. Why? It's got flavor, acidity and freshness that is just unmatched by any other restaurant. The menu here is comprehensive yet not huge. I'm always a bit nervous about restaurants with a menu that's the size of a yellow pages. And there are a few house specialty dishes like albondigas and pambazos. They also have jamaica, hibiscus agua fresca, one of my favorites. The huevos rancheros here are really delicious and full of flavor. I keep coming back here again and again. You should too!

Corn appetizer was very good and shared, but Hubs would have eaten it all by himself.

We moved away from Milwaukee two years ago and we really miss this restaurant, along with five others. We try to stop in every time we are in town.

I came across this place as I was making my way back to Chicago after the brewers game! They were actually getting ready to close! I had no idea because the open sign was still on and there were people inside who now I realized were workers heading home! I felt so bad that I kept saying I can leave, I can go but the hostess was not having it! He seated me and my boyfriend and served up delicious chips and dips and let us place a order! He told us not to rush and to enjoy ourselves! Of course I rushed because I felt bad that they were closing but stayed to service us! The food was good, we just ended up getting tacos so we can let these folks go home!! 4 stars for the customer service because not a lot of places would seat you and feed you at closing so thank you all who waited on us!

    Taco dinner was excellent!

today was my first time eating here, and I have to say, I was impressed! our waitress was friendly, provided quick service, and the food and drinks were awesome! I highly recommend the strawberry margaritas and the taco dinner! my family and I will be sure to return!

The Fajitas from Las 7 Estrellas yuck.

I can't believe there are so many good reviews for this restaurant. I wish I could give 0 stars! I ordered fajitas for delivery from here yesterday and what I received was some slop slathered in slimy sauce. The onions were in chunks with the layers connected together by the middle! The cut of the meat looked like someone ripped it apart by hand! Even the peppers were cut unevenly. Would they serve this in their sit down restaurant? I gave it the benefit of the doubt and thought it might not be pretty but it may still taste good. That was not the case! I expect so much more from a restaurant. It was inedible and I had to throw it all away! What a waste of $13.50! Never again! (I have attached a photo)

Tortillas were crispy and fried to perfection. The consommé was delicious, had me drinking it straight out the cup and was well seasoned, hot, and was in its own something to right about. The red and green salsas were also good. Red having a bit of kick, green was flavorful. I will say that I wish one of them had more heat to it but the acidity and flavors were great. The beef itself was so flavorful and tender, well seasoned, not to mention had the perfect amount in each item. Also, Onions and peppers on the side were cooked great and had me going back for more each time. Also, get the horchata, it was spectacular. This place is small but decorated to really feel like the owners, workers, really care and take pride in the establishment. It had a great ambiance that was full of people on a rainy lunch hour, and I can see why. As a person who works in the industry as a cook, the kitchen, which you can see when you order is neat, clean, and truly has the right feel of 'they know what they're doing and they're doing it well'. 5 stars, will be talking about this meal for a long time and spreading the recommendation to as many people as I can.

The menu features small bites, chicken, loaded fries, and they have specials too. I ordered at the counter and got a text once my food my was ready. There's plenty of seating inside the brewery and the interior is unique because it used to be a church. Don't quote me on that but I'm pretty sure it was at some point. Anyway, I had to try the birria egg rolls because there was a ton of signage. First, they were quite large. The exterior had a great crunch and the interior was stuffed full of delicious birria, mozzarella, and chihuahua cheese. The ancho chipotle aioli was nice and smoky and paired well with the eggrolls. Definitely recommend and I wish I lived in the area because I could make a meal out of just these. I also tried one of the specials, the Chicken Tinga eggrolls. Again, they were bigger than expected, had a delicious, crispy exterior, and was stuffed full of chicken tinga and queso. It was served with a side of crema. Perfect pairing and I might have enjoyed these slightly more than the birria ones. I highly recommend that you check them out. I'm jealous that I don't live closer because we don't have a place like this in KC. They are definitely a unique place with delicious food.

It's Saturday and I'm thinking......Don Lucho!!!!!…read more The team has been up since late night roasting and boiling and creating the most amazing carnitas you will find in Milwaukee. Get here early - parking sucks, and suburbanites will freak out at the hood, but no worries Jesus is right next door at St. Josaphats basilica and will watch over you. And don't forget to take a tour of one of this country's most beautiful cathedrals. Right there by Don Luchos. You can eat here. Lots of long communal tables so don't be shy. Prices aren't cheap but this is quality. I usually get a pound or so of carnitas. They measure it out, it's steaming, and ask if you want it chopped. I say yes. It's wrapped up tightly and it will feed you all weekend. This meat is freaking amazing!!!! I pray they haven't run out of homemade tortillas, but like I said, you gotta come EARLY. Sigh. There's about 6 different amazing salsas to try. Smoky, fresh, green, red, hot sweet - I get two for the weekend. I consider a quart of menudo. I think about. Lamb, goat, barbacoa, chorizo - but I have enough. Too hungry to wait to go home, I sit down to eat. Two tacos - huge! The best was the barbacoa - tasty little carmelized deeply flavored meat bits. Hey - don't go expecting American extras like sour cream or cheese. This is the real thing. Warming: one taco will do you. Got a side of rice and beans - yum. Don Lucho is a treasure. It is authentic, mom and pop, and these are the businesses I love to support. For an incredible adventure and source of authentic carnitas, git yourself down to da south side ya day hair and ENJOY!!!!!!
