This place is a health hazard and prices are deceptive in that we saw cock roaches in the restaurant and hidden premium prices for different types of meats. The prices listed on the physical menu handed to us were entirely different than what they charged on our final bill. When we pointed this out, the staff was dismissive and unhelpful, brushing it off as no big deal. To make matters much worse, while we were eating, we saw cockroaches, and they treated it like it was no big deal, offering no apology or real solution or compensation. Disregard for basic food safety and hygiene are completely unacceptable. Save your money and protect your health. We've already reported these issues to the health department. read more

Food- The food was good, and had a great portion size. It came out nice and hot. The vegetarian burrito had plenty of vegetables inside with cheese and green sauce on top. The rice and beans were tasty and super filling--that I took half the portion to go. Service- We came here for Mother's Day lunch around 11am. There was plenty of parking when we arrived. As soon as we entered, we were greeted and one of the hostess gave my mom a rose which I thought was super sweet. We were seated outside (even though we preferred inside dining on our reservation). After we were seated, we were immediately given water, chips and salsa. There was a man that came table-to-table to sing songs which we enjoyed. Our server was kind and respectful, but forgot to fill my water until the very end. I had asked for a refill after he brought our food, but he didn't notice until last minute when we were done eating. It was hot during our lunch, and I wish our server offered to turn the fan on and occasionally refilled our waters. Overall, this place is a nice place to eat once in a while. I suggest dining in at night during the summer for a better experience, since the weather is getting hot. I'd avoid their salads: Both of the chicken salads were mediocre at best and expensive for lunch. Half of the chips served were broken into little pieces. The ok salsa was served in way too small a cup (should be one per person at that size). Weird tasting iced tea. What saved the meal? The fine, engaging service by the soon-to-be modeling waitstaff. Another delightful afternoon on their patio. Fortunately, we arrived early at noon on a 3 day weekend Sunday because the patio was full by the time we left. I loved my poblano chiles with black beans and stole some of my hubby's handmade corn tortillas because they are the best. My new favorite drink is the vodkarita with all the taste of a margarita and none of the tequila, which is no bueno para mi. Our server was friendly, and food arrived quickly despite the crowd. It's hard to mess up beans and rice lol. The chicken pipian was legit, and I would say... spicy. Didn't get to try the mole as it was sold out! Also tried the shrimp Ala Diabla and it is very spicy! Loved th3 chips and guacamole. Highly recommend it. Also had a small Paloma drink... very good amount of alcohol lol. I thought it was a large, and it made me wonder how BIG a large was hahaha. Yes , I know LosArboles has been closed for almost a YEAR. I have depended on the long standing , oldest El Mirasol to be still standing. Appearently not. Went there Tuesday 7-22-25 at 3330 pm. Nobody there., also no postings that they were closed, gas leak, nothing, NO NADA. Their website stills states they are open, as of 308pm Wednesday. Yelp says they are open as well ,oh yeah, if you call the phone number it just keeps on ringing. A little updated. Information would be nice and by the way, a little communication in any type would be greatly appreciated for a customer that has been going there for 20 YEARS. An extremely nice server greeted us and took our drink orders. Those drinks are absolutely potent, so be careful or get an Uber. Our meal was absolutely fantastic. Very tasty and authentic enough for this gringo. Our night at El Mirisol was absolutely a successful one. Quick tip: When in Palm Springs, it's absolutely appropriate to use the word "absolutely " as often as you like. Palm Springs was a favorite of one-time resident, Huell Howser. His public broadcasting show, California's Gold, boasted many a character answering his questions with "absolutely." You should absolutely check out his star on the Walk of Stars. The service was pretty good. The beans and rice were flavorless. A bit of salt works wonders. The nachos were made with chips and canned sauce (it tasted like El pato sauce) poured on them. I had the carnitas. The plate came with (flavorless) rice and beans, and two hockey puck shaped carnitas portions. It looked like they took some pork and pressed it into a mold, and crisped both sides on a grill. The carnitas themselves, were good. There was some sort of herbaceous flavor I could not identify, possibly thyme. It was odd, but tasty. I'm a foodie and have really enjoyed trying different restaurants since we moved to the desert. The margaritas were good, the michalada was good and really spicy. (I ordered another one, but it never came out). I'd suggest going there for drinks, but go some place else for dinner.
