I have been here twice, the first time was great. We talked about those poke nachos for weeks. The second time was not near as good, the nachos were, but I also ordered the crab cakes. I ended up sending them back, they were sour somehow and not good. The drink was, as was the service. It's a nice dining room with plenty of sitting.

We found Oceana on a whim and it was one of the best restaurants we dined at during our trip. The restaurant is a little fancy and there's a wide selection of items you can choose from. We ordered the Calamary Milanese, the Roasted Beet Salad (THE BEST - One of my mom's most favorites out of all the restaurants she can remember), the Flat Iron, The Basa Veracruz (I believe), and the 7 Oceanas, we also had two drinks but I don't remember them but they were good. Alondra was our waitress and did a really great job with service. She checked on us regularly and made sure every dish was to our liking. The interior of the restaurant was very nice and is intimate dining styled with a pretty bar and dim lighting. All the dishes we had were cooked very well and were delicious and the service was great. I do want to try more dishes from this restaurant next time we visit. Definitely great place for dates, company dinners, and family dinner. Overall Rating: Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Menu: 10/10 Restaurant Vibes: 10/10 Price to Overall Dining (POD): 10/10

Octopus and shrimp over pesto risotto with chayote squash.

This is my favorite restaurant in Coachella Valley. Whenever I stay from Palm Springs to Indio, I make a point of coming here. The food is fresh and preparations/combinations are amazing. Staff is friendly service is immaculate and they never make me feel bad or put me in a corner, though usually I come here alone. Service is just as attentive as every other table. Tonight I had a glass or Pinot Grigio, Caesar starter, pulpo and camarones over pesto risotto with a spicy sauce and chayote squash. It was soon well prepared and another delicious combo. Have the Carlotta for dessert. You will also want to return time after time! (Be sure to ask for Rafael to be your server, so professional!)

Our server Gabriel was fantastic! He was super attentive and friendly, making sure our water was always filled and plates taken away as the table was a bit small. We ordered the las chorreadas, Carson's salmon ceviche, and the drunken shrimp. We were also offered a complimentary carrot soup and it was actually super tasty, creamy, and lightly spiced. The ceviche was my favorite dish of the meal. I personally love eating very sour ceviche but didn't mind that this one was only lightly sour. The fish itself was nicely cooked and paired super well with crackers. As for the shrimp and the tacos, the shrimp was a bit too sweet for my liking but the sauce itself went well with the rice. The tacos were a bit hard but the meat and the fries were good. Overall, decent meal!

First visit, as they just opened this week. This is a family-owned restaurant which focuses on seafood and steaks. They also happen to own Oceana in Palm Desert, Salsa's Restaurant in Cathedral City, and Crudo in downtown Palm Springs. This family really knows how to do food and service right, as all of these places are wonderful. Being the first week for this location, there were some minor hiccups, but I'm certain that they'll be worked out in no time. Oceana has a modern, sleek décor and ambience. We were immediately greeted and seated by the hostess (she saw us walking down the sidewalk and opened the door for us). Alex was our waiter, and the service was good, including the other members of the service team. DRINKS: We started with a couple cocktails, a Triple Peach Margarita, Spicy Pomegranate Margarita, and a Fresas con Crema Margarita ($14/ea.). Well-made cocktails, very refreshing, and at a reasonable price. They have a decent wine list, and every Tuesday it's 50% off bottles. FOOD: We started by sharing the Banana Peppers appetizer ($16), which was delicious, and the 5 large, crab stuffed peppers were enough for a small group. For our entrees, we tried the Ahi Steak ($26), the Chipotle Shrimp ($26), and the Asian Pasta ($32). We also added an order of the Garlic Bread ($9), which was large enough for 4-6 people to share. Everything was well-seasoned and tasty. The Ahi Steak and Chipotle Shrimp were served with rice and potatoes, which I thought was a little odd (2 starches). The Asian Pasta was loaded with seafood. We had wanted to order the Scallops, however they were out, so we'll have to check those out next time. To finish off the evening, we tried the Bananas Foster Cheesecake and the Coconut Flan ($11 ea.) Overall, this is an excellent seafood and steak restaurant with very good cuisine and service with a smile. They're only going to be getting better and better as time goes on. We'll definitely be back for more.

Fantastic new seafood restaurant in Rancho Mirage. Restaurant opened five days ago. Food is delicious but staff needs a little more training. Nothing major. The restaurant is beautiful. Very elegant. Service was good and drinks are excellent. Will definitely recommend.

Arrived for an early birthday dinner & watched place fill up with nice diverse crowd/vibe. Service was excellent unobtrusively efficient & polite. Food was outstanding from simple Cesar salad to beautifully plated main courses of steak shrimp & chicken. A song & delicious chocolate cake for the birthday boy which was very sweet & delicious. *Don't forget the smashed garlic bread to soak up all the delicious sauce! **Open for lunch as well. Will be back.

Ate dinner here tonight because several friends and clients have recommended it to me. We live close by but never tried it. We came here on a whim and we LOVED it. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Alex was our server and even made some special cocktails for us that were amazing. We will definitely be back, also gonna try their Palm Desert location of the same name. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. The octopus was tender and flavorful, had it as both a starter and a main dish. We also had the Pork with Mole, AMAZING!! A must is to try their Flan, a great way to end the evening.

If you didn't know better you'd think you were in LA in the summer, excepty for the bocce ball. They have an excellent selection of spirits, cocktails. Maybe a little varied, but decently creative. Sure you pay for everything for decor, glassware and not just spritis, but I recall wondering how they price their drinks becuase not everything is equal or standard mark up when some things aren't house made it's easy to cost out becuase you stop paying for creativity after a certain point. It feels like they took alot of Mr. Lyons business model and use that for pricing rather than a sole entity with their own margins. The service makes up for it, the ambiance makes up for it. Places you probably wouldn't have visit but the deals are too good to pass on. We've seen this place loads of time driving by and always wanted to try it out. It happen to be included in Restaurant Weeks so of course that was a given. There have parking out front so that's very helpful. I made a reservation for the patio at 7:15 thinking it'll be nice for the sunset but of course it was 103 still outside...lol... We were going to see if they could move us to indoor but when we checked in, the hostess was ahead of us. She knew it was going to be too hot for patio seating which was amazing of her. When you walk in, there's the hostess desk as well as a cute little lobby waiting area. Across from that is the wine cellar and around the corner was the bar lounge area. We didn't even know it was there until after dinner. It was massive. The restaurant is broken down into different rooms. We got seating in the main room where it's more of the MCM vibe with the high back booth seating. There's also a little private room to the side next to the restroom. The layout was quite beautiful and it was well decorated. There was also another room a step above us and and also the patio. The setting of the table was beautiful, elegantly dressed with an over side white table cloth. Only downfall, the booth was a bit too straight up. If you don't have good posture, you do now...lol... David was our waiter who was excellent and amazing. Very friendly and polite. Also so welcoming. As it was restaurant week, menus came out both with their daily as well as the deals. Classic menu does look quite nice but can't beat a good three course meal. That was offered for 49.00 three course, starters mains and dessert. Started off with a glass of wine before hand which a few was had throughout dinner. Service was excellent throughout the whole experience. One of the servers came over to place our napkins on our laps before. Also a warm roll with butter was brought out to start. Dinner, the options were great on the deals. We both started off with the Scottish salmon sashimi. Delicious thin slice served with seaweed salad, blood orange, scallions, Thai chili in a blood orange glaze. That was excellent and very tasty. Entrees, an order of the flank steak cooked nicely. Citrus marinated flank steak with shoestring fries, grilled baby broccolini and a creamy peppercorn sauce. This dish was flavorful and went well together. Steak was cooked well and the sauce was great. Also the beef stroganoff. Thin sliced seasoned sautéed beef served with mushrooms, onions, thyme, sweet cream and sour cream served over herbed butter noodles. I haven't had stroganoff in such a long time and this dish was very tasty and delicious. Sauce was great which sometimes I think it can be too salty but this place was great. Lastly the dessert, one was the vanilla creme brûlée. Classic Madagascar vanilla bourbon and berries. The other, strawberry Napoleon. Layered of flaky puff pastries, velvet pastry cream and fresh strawberries. Both looked amazing and very tasty. I didn't have any as I was off the sweets but let me say it went down well. The food was delicious and the restaurant was beautiful. The whole vibe was your classic Palm Springs dining. Service was amazing from the start with hostess to the end of dinner. The staffs were all amazing and very friendly. David was a major doll throughout our meal. He even mentioned happy hour which is next. Everything was excellent and we would definitely be back.
