This is a great find in Kendall! Tried lunch 3 times. Food is excellent, fresh and hot. Chips and salsa plus 3 other sauces before your meal. Reasonably priced. Service is not bad. Great menu. I've tried chile rellenos and tacos with steak. Both excellent. You can tell they have pride in everything served. Not too common around here. Good luck to them. They deserve it! read more

The food and service here is very good.. They have a nice selection and the atmosphere and wait staff are very nice. Here is my biggest complaint. The damn salt around the rim of the glass for the micheladas!!! Why can it not have coarse flavored salt!! Ugh... Micheladas are MAGICAL and delicious, but rimming the glass with table salt makes the drink sad... And me too. There is another Mexican resturant down the street and their micheladas are OFF THE CHAIN.. But their food kinda sucks.. So i find myself here quite a bit.. Nibbling away at the chips and awesome salsa combo they bring out, enjoying my meal and wishing my favorite beverage had the kind of salted rim it deserved.. We asked if they had a lunch menu, to which our waiter said no. After a few minutes, we realized every other table got a lunch special menu. We asked our waiter why we he told us there wasn't a lunch menu to which he replied it was only for people who worked in the shopping center. It became obvious this wasn't true so we asked the couple behind us if they worked in the shopping center to which they replied no and this was there first time at the restaurant. I confronted our waiter, he apologized and said next time we will get the special/cheaper menu. Now, we were a big group, so I don't know if they were trying to make some extra money off of us. However, the perception was that we were the only gringos and were being treated differently because of that. The food is very good "but" I came with my family on a Sunday , they told me they run out of the meat for the Tacos of carnitas , and it will take them 3hours to make more , "come one" are you kidding me! you are a Mexican restaurant and you run out of the ingredients to make "tacos", that is no buenooo . The guys that serve are nice and at the end they try there best to accommodate our needs. The place is clean and good for the family. One star for service: when I walked in I stood at the little podium for 5 minutes then I got yelled at in Spanish. It proved wasn't anything bad, but if you don't speak Spanish it just sounds like you are getting yelled at. Then when I said I don't speak Spanish she ignored me. Then finally someone came from the back to greet and seat me.(she was pretty nice)the guy who weighted on me was super nice. Today is the day my life was changed - I ordered the most delicious quesadilla and it came from this heaven sent restaurant. Seriously so good. I had the shrimp quesadilla. DELICIOUS. BEST FRIGGIN QUESADILLA. Aside from how good my food was, I ordered from, my order came exactly right with all my specifications, they didn't mess up a single thing. They were also QUICK. I would say this place is good, but not great. I found it on Yelp while I was in the area so my boyfriend and I said, why not? We are always willing to give a new place a try when it has good reviews on Yelp. So we arrived on a Tuesday night around 7:30 and besides another couple and a party of about 8 people that were celebrating their birthday there, we were it. Our waitress was really nice and she brought out some chips with a large bowl of pico de gallo and 4 different dipping sauces to try ranging from hot to mild. She shortly came to take our orders and we both got burritos, mine chicken and his steak with jalapeños inside. I liked that they were willing to add the jalapeños instead of just telling him no. Shortly after the chef came with our meals and brought us extra chips and salsa. I really liked the way they treated us but unfortunately, the food was not the best I've had. Yes it was good, but to say it was great would be to exaggerate. Would I come back? Probably not. Should you try it if you're in the area? Yes! Tucked away in the corner of the Kendall Breeze Shopping Center is a great Mexican place. We've been coming to Las Cazuelas for years and every visit is just as good as the last. Most Mexican restaurants start you off with chips and salsa but at this place you get pico, tomatillo salsa, chipotle salsa and a chipotle cream salsa. All of them are delicious! My only complaint is that they bring them to you in tiny condiment cups so they're gone before you know it. The queso fundido with chorizo is our standard starter. Followed by tacos al pastor. The guacamole is alright but we've had better. Service is a little laid back, but if you're not in rush than that's no biggie. If you are looking to eat well in a chill hideaway than you've found your perfect burrito joint. read more

Took a friend who was craving Mexican food. We both know the difference between chain and authentic dishes. LC is the real thing! Warm corn chips are immediately brought with three salsas and pico. I had the seafood soup, which was similar to Italian and Mediterranean versions, but the broth was distinct and flavorful. My friend ordered the chicken burrito which was huge and filled with fresh ingredients, not packed with rice and beans. We just ordered from here tonight, because we were babysitting for my best friend. And El Rancho Grande which we have already tried is also located in this area but does not deliver. So we decided to give it a shot since las cazuelas does deliver and let me just say they just gained us a regulars. The food is awesome and better than their competitor. The chorizo taco was off the chain good! Full of awesome flavor, we also had the mole poblano, menudo, queso fun dido, salsas, tacos al pastor y de carnita and they were all excellent. This is my first trip here and tried the chili relleno and to me it was like a wet sponge. Very watery and no flavor. Food is too expensive and there is no flavor to this food, no spices whatsoever, I can get better food and more of it Much cheaper. I have eaten home made Mexican food from a Mexican so I know what I am talking about. Perhaps if all you know is Microwave Mexican food you might think it's good Mexican. If you want to try it out knock yourself out. How can people rate this four stars????? Are we talking about the same place??? Loved this place when it was on its own. Now it has rediculously merged with an Italian food place. Very disturbing to watch a repeating commercial about pizza while you eat Mexican food. The food is fresh and the drinks are ok. The staff could be more attentive. We waited 15 min to get our check and only got it because we walked around looking for our waitress. The desserts are not that great. They could do better since they pushing other food down your face while you eat. It was better on it's own. Sad but true. read more
