I've been taking my son to this barbershop for years. My whole family get their haircuts from LA's FinWe live in Lakewood, so when the Lakewood location closed, we continued to travel to the Cypress location. My son had a last minute school promotion picture coming up the next day. So we booked a haircut. Our normal barber Josh was unavailable. So we booked with Eber for 1230. Eber txts me and says "You booked and paid online. Let's do cash" then he txts me at 1130 and asks if we could come at 12. My son had a game so we wouldn't of made it on time. Hence the reason why I booked for 1230. So he txts me again and says "Hey man" I told him "I'm on my way" He says "How close are you" I say "Lakewood". Eber says "You didn't get my msg to come at 12? I told someone to come at 1230 and they will be here in 15mins" That was when he pissed me off. Don't get no attitude with me. There's a reason I booked my sons appointment for 1230 and not 12. Eber is unprofessional! He's cut my son's hair before and I've never had any complaints. But there's a reason why he always has availability and all the other barbers are ALWAYS booked in advance ‍ The other barbers haircuts are $30. Eber charges $35. And it's not worth the headache. So now I'm waiting for my son to walk out cuz Eber has been rushing us all day so I have a feeling he's gonna do a half-fast job because he double booked himself. read more

So I produced to check out although I do know they can and do revive the money once it's paid for I used Apple Pay. I call them I'm having an issue at work that I could be running a bit late I scheduled at 4:15 but pushed it to 4:30 sadly I got out at 3:55 I called them letting them know I wasn't going to be able to make it this man on the phone told me they can't give me my money back I spent $40 to get nothing done and I gave my "Barber" a tip. My 4 yr old HATES hair cuts. I think I'm more stressed out taking him than he is. During Covid this place was the only shop we could find that was open. Everyone is super nice. Alan was absolutely amazing with my son. He was even better the second time. Extremely patient while my son had a fit and wouldn't stop moving. Eventually my son calmed down (just a little) and we realized he liked the brush filled with powder. Every so often Allen would brush the hair off his neck and my son would put his hand out and Alan would brush his hands. Alan never seemed annoyed or frustrated and made us feel comfortable. Super pissed about how my haircut turned out I booked an appointment last week with Augustine and it was so bad I had to buzz all my hair off when I came home. He seems like a pretty inexperienced barber he seemed very nervous durning the whole haircut. I don't understand what the problem was I get a fade, line up with a little trim on top pretty standard haircut but Augustine managed to mess it up. Time to start the regrowing process. Unprofessional, I booked an appointment a week in advanced. I get non stop text to make a payment on my haircut, I decided not too and since then they delayed my appointment time frame by 30 minutes then about two hours passed they cancel my appointment all on the day I was supposed to get my haircut. I'm the type of person that has multiple things to do and I'm always on a time crunch. Now I have to cancel all the things I have later due to them being unprofessional with there appointments. I've been going to the Long Beach location for years, but I followed my barber, Beans, to this new, clean location even though it is a little bit further for me. Worth it! I recommend any barber b/c they will take great care of you, but if you can book with Beans. He is the best! I walk out every time diggin' my fresh cut and get compliments of how great it looks. I walk in busted and walk feeling excellent with a mid taper-fade! They have a section for kids to play and hang too, and that really helps me having a 1 year old daughter. Whenever you walk through a business' doors and the first question they ask is "do you have an appointment?" It's not going to be a pleasant experience. How about "hi, how are you today?" Or maybe " what brings you in today?" So after I informed them I did not have an appointment, the three guys who looked to be employees all looked at each other with confusion as to whom might be willing to take on a new client. Well, after about five minutes of hearing each ones excuse of why they could not take a "walk in", which I might add is clearly stated as something they welcome. Even posted on the window. They decided that my wait time would be 20- 30 mins. I decided to wait. An hour later with no signs of any thing opening anytime soon, and myself being the only one to have come in through this entire time. I decided to leave. This bugs me because I was looking forward to finding a new spot so close to my home. So bummed that younger generations have no concept of what a barber shop is, and should be. This is not it.
