We were on the road and decided to stop for a quick lunch after driving by. Open on Sundays during the winter which was a plus! Friendly staff working, we were seated right away. The menu covers decent ground with most dishes you would expect. They also have a bar on one side as well. I tried the chicken chimichanga and my partner tried the chicken tacos. We were passing by and made an impromptu stop by for a late lunch around 3 pm. Greeted by friendly Eduardo and sat by the window with the big lottery sign. FYI, bugs love that window, so don't be surprised to have flies, moths, spiders for company. My boys enjoyed watching the spider on the outside of the window doing its thing. Got our chips and salsa. The salsa was great - fresh and hit all the notes. The waiter walked us through the menu and we placed the order for the following. This was a wonderful, casual dinner spot for my partner and I on our trip to Tillamook! The food was very affordable, and came pretty quickly. I got the veggie burrito and loved it (though I was not certain the refried beans were actually vegetarian). Both my partner and I were impressed with the portion size, especially for the price. The meal was preceded by complimentary chips and salsa (and the salsa was EXCELLENT; I wish I purchased some to take home). I ordered a blackberry margarita, and it was huge and strong (a big win in my books!). They are not skimping on the liquor, and the frozen marg was a delight all around. I can see why it's the namesake. Parking was easy-- they have their own lot. Plenty of seating and quick service. The staff were friendly and attentive. First time checking it this place with our family and never again. Our food came with stale smelling dry overheated yucky rice . Carne Asada was hard to chew. The flour tortilla had grease on the back like they were heated on a dirty pan or something? They also didn't look or taste very fresh. It makes me think that all the food is reheated or something? When I walked by the kitchen I was shocked it was so old inside the pots and pans looked like they were from the 1920's. Pans and pots are not that expensive to upgrade. I am so happy to have found this place since moving to Tillamook. I ordered the chicken mole and my husband the steak fajitas. My chicken was perfectly cooked and super moist. The mole sauce was so good and fresh. My husband finished every bite of his meal. They had super crispy chips too! Our server was lovely. If you don't want to read all of this review in short, it was Aweful! Where to start; the young man that first sat us was very pleasant and attempted to be helpful and was very pleasant. We went for lunch during lunch time. Prior to ordering, my husband had a quick pit stop and, the men's bathroom was out of order. Frankly, it was disgusting. we admit that had already raised a red flag. While sitting back at the table, the salsa and a few tortillas were placed on the table, we asked a couple questions and the young man was very he. we ordered and them asked what we'd like to drink. we ordered coffee and off he went. With that said, a lady came from the back and told the young man serving us there's no coffee and for him not to make coffee, he said he was just putting it on. Then with a flourish of hand, she decreed "we don't have any coffee." He just said he was making it and she said no coffee again, they would have to make a pot. We said fine we would go; as we started to walk out she yelled at us we had to pay for the salsa and chips (that we didn't order). The young man looked bewildered by it all. I really wanted to give this place five stars, but there was just too much fat on the chile verde. Everything was so tasty and they have house made tortillias. Their salsa has a kick to it as does the chile verde. They both have the ghost pepper effect and have a medium strength of heat. The owner was our server and she is very accommodating plus friendly. The furnishings are very colorful and tasteful with a definite Mexican flare. The rice, beans and chips are also good. In addition to the largest complimentary serving I've ever received, Las Margaritas has the best salsa this side of the border. It alone is worth a trip. We were disappointed in the food at Las Margaritas. We were greeted promptly at the door, were seated quickly, and chips and salsa arrived. The chips were stale and the salsa had no flavor or spice. Our server did take our order quickly and was pleasant. I had the chicken mole enchilada. The chicken was very dry with no flavor. Worse, the mole sauce was burned, almost as if was sitting for a while and scraped off the bottom of a pan. After the food was delivered our server disappeared. Been coming to Tillamook a number of years and decided to try this establishment. Got greeted by Jacob and then it started. The salsa was incredibly good. The confused greeter came over to my table 2 or 3 times, but yet it took an awkwardly long time to get my food ordered with my actual server. I admit I'm usually secretly creeped out when there is a mix of dark and white meat in my chicken enchilada. But this seemed like the meat had been cooked right and wasn't dry at all. The complimentary salsa is fresh-- but hot. You mild-only people have been warned. I sat there for so long waiting for my bill that another (new?) server eventually came over and asked how I was doing. I said I was all finished and just needed the check. I was told to meet him up front. Now at this point I was tossed back into "confused greeter's" hands. I told him what I had ordered, and then there was more confusion how to swipe my card. Definitely awkward. Walking back to the bathroom (and getting a sneak peek into the kitchen) I thought to myself, "Ya know, maybe I should get better about checking the health score of restaurant BEFORE I eat there." Eeek. All this aside, what I found in the said bathroom trip immediately skyrockets them to five stars. This is by far the worst Mexican food I ever tried. It's inedible. We order 4 dishes: Tortilla soup: extremely salty, you can't drink broth. It supposed to have chicken only, but in my soup I got some extra pieces of other meat, looks like leftovers. Beef Fajitas: also inedible. Beef has some kind of sauce that first of all I never seen in fajitas, but the meat inself smelled rotten. Quesadilla: the good thing it was big, but also taste bad. I can only finish 1 piece (I guess we were hungry) Beef tacos: slitely cooked ground beef, smells so bad. I only could eat side guacamole (that actually was the only fresh food on the table) I honestly don't know how others could eat in that place. It's in an old house that has been remodeled for their restaurant and bar. The salsa was excellent! Nice bright favors, obviously freshly made. My Chile Verde was very good and when I asked if the tortillas were made there, the owner brought me some. My daughter loved her Nachos and my wife enjoyed her chicken tacos. Our friends also gave it a thumbs up. Great service, too! The only draw back was it seemed there was no heating except body heat and we were there during a cold snap, 36 outside and it felt like it was 57 inside. There was a wood fire place towards the front that I didn't see until we exited and it definitely didn't throw off much heat. For being in a very small town, it was excellent! (They've only been open since August.) they got an extra star by exceeding my expectations and great service. read more

One of the first things I noticed was the salsa and chips. Usually most salsas are canned salsas. But this salsa was the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Did not taste like a canned product. The chimichanga was the cherry on top. Chimichangas are usually fried and very greasy. It was far away from greasy. The shredded chicken inside was very juicy. I don't usually give Yelp reviews but the server was really friendly and creative. I really wanted a taco salad bowl, but there weren't any vegetarian ones listed on the menu. The server said she'd make it work with fajitas, and she did. It was the tastiest, most unique dish I have had at a Mexican restaurant. My boyfriend ordered a taco bowl off the menu and absolutely enjoyed the fajitas vegetarian taco bowl that the server suggested. I really hope they add this one to the menu eventually. read more
