Went here for a quick lunch with my bestie but we missed the lunch time by a couple mins haha! Anyways, I ended up ordering the pastor tacos on flour. Although the pastor was actually delicious, only pico was included and salsa. Would've loved to see some onions and cilantro already included! I did want to try the steak enchiladas so I will be going back! The service was really good though and everyone was super nice! Restaurant was very clean as well. They have an ice cream dessert that has sesame seeds and buenelo straws very delicious and big enough to share. The torta had a chipotle cream in it. Im a purist for Mayo and sour cream. The whole fried fish is big enough for one person. The salad that came with it had pico de Gallo on top of it. read more

horrible service couldnt even get refills. didnt get a refill untill my food came out 20 minutes later then my brothers food was wrong so another 15 minutes wait. got the ticket saw they took out a tip from everyones ticket even though she doesnt deserve it. i talk to the lady thats in charge about the tip and she laughs in our face and defends her server because we only talk english. horrible servive and management. tips should be for people that deserve it. the photo attached is the two people that shouldnt be working in this industry. they were talking crap to us in spanish like we didnt understand what they were saying. read more

There are other locations in the metroplex is how I got introduced to this restaurant however having one in my own neighborhood is a win! So I've been coming here since before COVID and I'm glad that COVID didn't take them out. I have never not gotten positive feedback from anyone who I have taken here (and I have taken lots). On the most recent trip I took my pickiest friend and he gave it a thumbs up. Their steak fajitas are delicious, I love their salsa and queso. Recently we got a drink while waiting for our food to go and it was on point. I had ordered something that didn't make it into the bag, I called up and they made it right. Came in for a late lunch, I believe we arrived around 145 PM and there was only one other table occupied. So we were seated and our drink orders taken. I also ordered a bowl of queso for the table to share. I asked for extra bowls to share the queso and I felt a little negativity but brushed it off. That's when the other people I was with said our waitress isn't good and has an attitude. I felt we should give her a chance. Each time she came she stood as if in a hurry to leave. She took our order with barely a grunt. There were other employees standing around gossiping. Refills were never offered. When our food arrived I had to flag down the waitress and ask for silverware. I was briskly handed the silverware and passed it out to the rest of the table. The food was ok, not spectacular but not bad. I enjoyed my queso enchiladas topped with steak but the rice was bland. The beans were decent and the fries were hot. The tortillas are thick, like a store bought tortilla instead of homemade. When we were finished our waitress never brought our ticket. Some of the best Tex-mex I've had in Dallas. I had a combo plate, a chicken enchilada with ancho sauce and a crispy chicken taco. The taco was filled with perfectly cooked chicken fajita, lettuce , Tom and cheese. The enchilada was exactly what I expected. Flavorful sauce, moist chicken, gooey cheese, and baked just long enough that the ends of the tortilla were crisp. Beans and rice were on point. read more

Came to visit, haven't been in a while, this location is on Jefferson in good old Oak Cliff. Came in on Sunday afternoon not to busy, was seated immediately. Started off with the pastorcitos which is an app that comes with fried al Pastor Mini tacos. Might I say they were very delicious. My main course was enchiladas de steak. The waitress was adorable. But I don't know exactly what is going on in the kitchen. I asked for the Chile relleno with fajita and rice and beans. And I was surprised that my order was out super fast. Well when I dug in because this was my first big meal of the day at 2:00 pm Friday my fajitas were cold. And I asked the waitress is this suppose to be cold she said no I will fix this. I hate returning my food. And yet she came back with my cold fajitas and rice and beans were not hot they felt like room temperature. I sure was not going to send it back twice. It should of been right in the first try. I am so disappointed. And then you tell the waitress and what can she do but be embarrassed. I told the cashier as well and her response was did you tell the waitress. And I said yes. My family and I went to eat at this restaurant and the service was horrible. The waitress took our order and never came back. Another waitress came to ask if we were ok after a while of us looking for our waitress and towards the kitchen. I asked her to please check on our order and she assured me she would and proceeded to take an additional 15 minutes to get back. We had to wait for our food for around 50 minutes. The restaurant was IMMACULATE--not usually a dealbreaker for us, since we prefer dives, but COVID changes things. With 4 kids, we could only stay if we were comfortable. This is just our 2nd indoor seating since the first of March. The wait staff was delightful. We started with queso con carne--could've ordered 4 bowls for our entrees--LOVED it! We all ate from Lunch Menu--my Littles shared fajitas--plenty for 3 tacos. My 13-15 year olds loved the quesadillas. The cheese enchiladas were TO DIE. We will definitely be back. Side note--take your kids on the drive back thru local Bishop and Stevens Park area for a fun field trip. read more

Texas carnitas put my California carnitas to shame. Las Ranitas is a family friendly place for large parties, we had 16 at our table. I loved the fresh cooked carnitas, the fresh garnish and excellent rice beans and tortillas. I also had the Caldo de Res, I'll tell you it was fresh and made to perfection. I was totally stuffed. I would love to give this establishment a higher star but the customer service is lousy. The shrimp nachos are good but I was never checked on therefore I never received a refill. There isn't a lot of people present and everyone is standing around speaking in Spanish. I had to ask for my ticket because again no one came to my table. I may or may not come again. Whom ever the owner is should read these reviews, reply and make necessary changes or your business will stay slow. By the way on my wAy out no one said a word, therefore I will not be back and spend my money with these rude people. The food is a bit pricey and not all that. I love Las Ranitas! They always have great food and an awesome atmosphere. I'm vegetarian, and although they don't explicitly have too many vegetarian options on the menu if you ask they'll prepare something special. OMG this place is amazeballs! The atmosphere was great. I loved walking into a restaurant and hearing Vicente Fernandez playing in the background. I am from El Paso, so this made me feel like i was back home. :) I know people keep saying it's tex mex, but it's a good combo. they have a few tex mex items, and several authentic dishes. My boyfriend had the torta which he loved! I had the tostadas w/beef. They were so delicious and the serving sizes are definitely generous. Their salsa has a good flavor and a nice kick to it.
