They have an ice cream dessert that has sesame seeds and buenelo straws very delicious and big enough to share. The torta had a chipotle cream in it. Im a purist for Mayo and sour cream. The whole fried fish is big enough for one person. The salad that came with it had pico de Gallo on top of it.

There are other locations in the metroplex is how I got introduced to this restaurant however having one in my own neighborhood is a win! So I've been coming here since before COVID and I'm glad that COVID didn't take them out. I have never not gotten positive feedback from anyone who I have taken here (and I have taken lots). On the most recent trip I took my pickiest friend and he gave it a thumbs up. Their steak fajitas are delicious, I love their salsa and queso. Recently we got a drink while waiting for our food to go and it was on point. I had ordered something that didn't make it into the bag, I called up and they made it right. Seriously, if you are in the neighborhood give them a try! And I would have pictures of the food but it gets eaten so quickly that I never get a chance!

Left was our server and on the right was thebso called head I guess horrible people need training and learn to talk to people

horrible service couldnt even get refills. didnt get a refill untill my food came out 20 minutes later then my brothers food was wrong so another 15 minutes wait. got the ticket saw they took out a tip from everyones ticket even though she doesnt deserve it. i talk to the lady thats in charge about the tip and she laughs in our face and defends her server because we only talk english. horrible servive and management. tips should be for people that deserve it. the photo attached is the two people that shouldnt be working in this industry. they were talking crap to us in spanish like we didnt understand what they were saying.

Came in for a late lunch, I believe we arrived around 145 PM and there was only one other table occupied. So we were seated and our drink orders taken. I also ordered a bowl of queso for the table to share. I asked for extra bowls to share the queso and I felt a little negativity but brushed it off. That's when the other people I was with said our waitress isn't good and has an attitude. I felt we should give her a chance. Each time she came she stood as if in a hurry to leave. She took our order with barely a grunt. There were other employees standing around gossiping. Refills were never offered. When our food arrived I had to flag down the waitress and ask for silverware. I was briskly handed the silverware and passed it out to the rest of the table. The food was ok, not spectacular but not bad. I enjoyed my queso enchiladas topped with steak but the rice was bland. The beans were decent and the fries were hot. The tortillas are thick, like a store bought tortilla instead of homemade. When we were finished our waitress never brought our ticket. We finally got up and went to the register and asked to pay. The women apologized for our service, I guess she. Oils tell we were not thrilled with our waitress.

Chille relleno with fajita and rice and beans and a side of salad.

The waitress was adorable. But I don't know exactly what is going on in the kitchen. I asked for the Chile relleno with fajita and rice and beans. And I was surprised that my order was out super fast. Well when I dug in because this was my first big meal of the day at 2:00 pm Friday my fajitas were cold. And I asked the waitress is this suppose to be cold she said no I will fix this. I hate returning my food. And yet she came back with my cold fajitas and rice and beans were not hot they felt like room temperature. I sure was not going to send it back twice. It should of been right in the first try. I am so disappointed. And then you tell the waitress and what can she do but be embarrassed. I told the cashier as well and her response was did you tell the waitress. And I said yes. Abs yes she sent it back. But brought it back the same. She would not know she is just the waitress not the cook. Will not be coming here again for a while until I forget because I love this place and have never had a problem. Till today

Went during lunch during the Week. Service is fast if you are time constraints but I've had better Mexican food. I wouldn't go back. But the food wasn't nothing spectacular.

This is a Mexican food restaurant with an attached billiards in the back. Their frozen margaritas are delicious! You're served chips and salsa prior to your food coming out. If you want other salsa/Chile to go with your food you'll have to request it.

Not bad. Not exceptional. But, I'd stop in again if I were in the area and hungry for Tex-Mex.

I came in mainly to watch the game and have a few beers, but the service was so good you'd think I had ordered the entire menu instead of just casually committing crimes against the free chips and salsa. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made me feel very welcome. Honestly, if they treat a guy this well for drinking beer and demolishing complimentary chips, I can only imagine what happens if you actually order food. Definitely made me want to come back hungry. The restaurant seemed warm and inviting with all the natural light, but as the meal progressed, there were quite a few misses that degraded the overall experience here. First, they didn't really have much in the way of non-alcoholic drinks except for sodas, which I typically don't drink. I wanted a flavored lemonade or an agua fresca. The waiter said they had lemonade and they could add some mango flavoring, but when I go the drink, it was terrible. It was like a Countrytime or something to that effect. I couldn't taste the mango flavoring. The waiter was kind enough to offer to remake the drink when he realized I didn't like it, but it was the same again, so I gave up. It just tasted so artificial and gross. For my entree, I ordered an enchilada plate with scrambled eggs and potatoes. The first time it came out wrong. It was beef enchiladas and not the cheese that was listed on the menu. Then they brought out my plate again and it was now covered in queso. According to the menu, it was a cheese enchilada with chili con carne, but I didn't want to raise the issue. I was really hungry at this point and just accepted it. The food was okay...2 1/2 or 3 star territory. The restaurant itself was pretty cool. I like the location and the abundance of natural light, but the miscommunications with the kitchen and the generic lemonade drink exposed some real opportunities here.

5/5 Stars Everything…read moreabout my dinner at El Carlos Elegante was exceptional. Rather than ordering à la carte, I chose the Elegante Experience, a four-course chef-curated tasting menu that concludes with dessert for $99 per person. The menu evolves with the seasons, allowing the kitchen to showcase its freshest ingredients and current specialties, so every visit has the potential to be a little different. For the quality of the ingredients, creativity, and execution, I thought it was an outstanding value. Every course was beautifully prepared and packed with flavor. Not a single dish felt like an afterthought. The house-made masa program and wood-fired cooking really shine throughout the meal, and it's easy to see why this restaurant has earned such a strong reputation. The service was prompt, attentive, and genuinely courteous without ever feeling rushed. The atmosphere strikes a rare balance, it feels refined while still being warm, familial, and incredibly inviting. If you're ordering a cocktail, I highly recommend the El Dragón. It paired perfectly with the meal and is worth trying. I've uploaded several photos with this review be sure to flip through them to get an idea of just how beautiful the presentation is. El Carlos Elegante is one of those restaurants that reminds you a tasting menu doesn't have to be intimidating or overpriced. It simply delivers outstanding food, excellent hospitality, and an experience that feels well worth the price. I'll definitely be back.
