The 2 delivery's were on time and assistance in setting up was greatly appreciated! The Mexican food for the Cinco de Mayo party was a "hit", home run. The HBC and membership greatly appreciated the quality and quantity of food, tremendous service that made the event a huge success!!!

Fun atmosphere, good music, excellent customer service and very clean indoor & outdoor dining area (limited seating but it's better than nothing). I have the Francheesie Hot Dog & it was great. Also, love the bread they use here for their buns. Soft, and not cheap. Fries are on point as well. Better than some of the usual cheap crinkle cut or shoe string fries. I'd put their fries on the same level as Five Guys. For the vets & active military in the area, take note they do offer a military discount and your fountain drink is on the house. Loved the experience and food Mean Weiner. Stay Mean!

We had a…read morelarge table (not sure is someone reserved it or not) looking right out onto Roger Williams ave. We had plenty of room and it was nice to have delicious beer, good food, and a pleasant view of this part of Highland Park. I've been here before when it had a different name, but it seems like little has changed. This is a well warn bar! Comfy seats at the bar and a smattering of booths and table with a homey feel - lots of wood and available light from the large front window. This is not a huge room by any means but it never felt crowded. Our group had mostly apps like guac and chips and a quesadilla or two. I tried a Kolsch lager and a Marzen lager both if which were a little cheaper than usual due to the Happy Hour Special of $5 a beer. Margaritas are $6 at Happy Hour. The beer was very good! We had a great waiter and being seated just a few feet from the bar meant no one went thirsty or hungry for long. On past visits I was seated on the back patio but we had rain on this most recent visit, and it's also March! (Patio season does not start in the Chicago area for at least another month or month and a half!) The patio is a nice little wood fenced in area with lots of tables and a back tap bar. Not sure if that set-up is still the same.... This is a great local bar with a lot of rustic, homey charm. I'd definitely recommend if you want good local beer in a friendly old-school bar.

Bartender was slicing limes and washing dishes. I waited for 10 minutes without even an acknowledgement of my presence. Not even eye contact. He came over to a stack of glasses in front of me to grab a glass and still no eye contact or even a "hey I'll be right with you" The place was empty. 2 servers were hanging out at the right end of the bar looking bored. Another patron walked in and sat at the bar. Bartender hollered out "margarita"? and then prepared him his margarita. Still no engagement or acknowledgement whatsoever. I got up and left. No surprise the place was empty.I'm sorry I do not have a food review. I did not want to wait all day to be served.
