It took awhile to find an orthodontist who wasn't lazy and wanted to pull teeth right away. We saw FOUR others, including one that had an amazing 3D modeling x-ray imaging machine, before coming here. While Dr. Simister couldn't guarantee that it would not happen, he said he'd do his best. (We would have come here first, but our insurance was being a pain. We'd already had one set of braces from him.) Today, the braces are coming off with no extractions needed. My son and I are both proof of the fact that some orthodontists put their convenience over patient health. You get one set of permanent teeth. Don't throw one or two away because you don't want to shop around and get a third, fourth, or fifth opinion. Your child's teeth are worth it. Thanks again, Dr. Simister! read more

The worst place... do not take your kids here. They're careless about wiring, never available to answer questions. Front desk have a horrible customer service. Their calendar is double booked 6-8weeks out. Never available for emergencies. They have multiple phone numbers to call or to text but they do not call back ever. Do NOT go here. Getting braces here was one of the biggest mistakes that I will have to live with forever. I didn't get them as a kid and decided to go through and get them as an adult in her 20s. I was told it would take 18 months. It ended up being 3 years, which is fine, I understand that's how it works. When I got them off they kept asking me if I wanted them off? Odd, I'm paying them 5k, shouldn't they be telling me what the plan is? They tell me it's time and I say fine, I'm not happy with my bite but they brush it off. He starts taking the brackets off and chips my front tooth! My FRONT TOOTH! Wtf. I'm devastated, they say "no big deal, we can just add some composite fillings to the front." I tell them how I need them to look (I'm upset I just lost my front tooth) and they tell me they aren't cosmetic dentist. They add the composite, send me on my way, reminding me not to bite into anything ever again and that they aren't responsible for the front tooth going forward. I wish I'd never gone here, and never gotten braces here. You can see the composite on my front teeth (they had to add it to the other side so they'd match of course!) for the rest of my life, it will need to be replaced every few years. You can see the back bite of my teeth doesn't sit right. They needed to have spaced my top teeth out with a spacer (I'm pretty sure). Don't even get me started on the actual appointments. They'd constantly forget to put a tie on a bracket, the wire would be too long, etc. issue after issue. I had to request a specific person so I knew it would be done right. I have a job, I can't come back over and over. How do you forgot to add a band to a bracket and send me on my way? read more

We love Las Vegas Braces ! Dr Whiting and Dr Simister are amazing !!! We've worked with Dr Simister previously and still sometimes do- but at this location we became acquainted with Dr Whiting .. he was Friendly, knowledgeable, and patient! The front desk staff and really everyone all around this place walks around with a smile on and are welcoming from the moment you set foot in the door. I have to give a special shout out to Jackie who is (I think) the office manager? She is AMAZING. So funny, so friendly, she went above and beyond to get my son and I started on our orthodontic journey and I look forward to seeing her each visit and we go back. A section of bottom permanent retainer was no longer attached to a couple teeth. I called all around trying to get an appointment to fix it. Everywhere I called didn't have openings until mid-June! We all know it doesn't take long before teeth stares to shift, I needed to be seen immediately. When I called LVB they were able to fit me in for a consultation AND repair/reattach the bracket on the same visit! This is a great office. The East side needs more professional establishments like this. I'm so grateful for their help! read more

From the time we walked in and we're greeted, I had two teenagers, Dr, S joked and talked to them at their level, making sure they understood everything he wanted to do and what was going on in their mouths. Then we went to "the chair" lol JJ was our technician and she was so great at explaining everything she was going to do as well as talking through the procedure to help my anxious daughter. I am just leaving this review as a warning before you begin your orthodontics journey. I wish I would have known that it's impossible to get an appointment. They take on new clients but once youre in and you have to reschedule for any reason you will have to wait 2-3 MONTHS for the next appointment. They schedule the appointments a month to six weeks in advance and then life changes for whatever reason. We all have things that could possibly come up in life. It's not malicious. But sometimes we have to change an appointment. But when you do you will not get another appointment for at the minimum 2 to 3 months out. So a 2 year estimate to have braces on will turn into a 3 year reality. My son is miserable wanting them off. I don't understand if they are so beyond booked up why they would keep taking on new clients and contracts if they can't service them. read more

They are not honoring their contract with Anthem and are taking too long to resolve a billing issue (going on 6 months). Office staff passes me off from one to another without solving or addressing the problem. Then they send me an email stating that they are waiting to here back from Anthem. When I call Anthem they say that they are paying the claim exactly has stated on the EOB and that the doctor must comply with the discounts that is contracted. My suggestion is to get the entire treatment plan approved prior to starting any work read more

If you get Dr. Griffiths youre kids in good hands and a couple of hiss assistant are good.But the rest pretty much does a crappy job. We had to come back the same day because my kid had issues. My daughter started going to Dr Simister a couple years ago to help with a finger sucking issue; they installed an appliance that made it impossible to do that, therefore fixing some of her front tooth issues. At That time they also installed a a palette stretcher because it was discovered her palette was quite small. Now, a couple year later we are back for braces! WE love it here. The office has always been on time, we like all the staff and Dr Simister is always kind and attentive. They also have a fun incentive program for kids to earn tokens based on good braces behavior! My daughter wants sometime so bad and keeps her braces clean so she can, it's a good incentive program! They also have a fun summer pool party for the patients! I have held off writing this review for quite some time now but as I am about to spend substantially more on finishing what was done before, I thought​ it was appropriate. I paid upfront for Invisalign​ and also expressed I wanted laser gum shaping when finished. Towards the end of my treatment, Dr.​ Griffith was not very willing to order more trays for my small tweaks that were needed. In the end, I still have 2-3 teeth that are not straight up and down. I also never received the laser reshaping even though they assured me at the beginning​ that it was their reputation to make sure everyone looked great afterward​ and that I would get that done as well since everything was paid for up front. When I asked why it wasn't in the contract, they said it was basically a given for everyone at the end if needed. Instead,​ he gave me a referral for a surgeon and never offered the treatment even though I paid a premium for it. Finally, to top it all off, I was not even given a permanent retainer for sleeping in. Instead, he told me to keep using my Invisalign​ which everyone knows is not made for long term use. That has since cracked and I am left with my teeth to move as they wish. read more
