I am a woman who has been smoking cigars for over 20 years. I use to be a premium cigar rep and kinda know my stuff after selling them for years. I had been in before and purchased cigars here so when my husband had a meeting at the client nearby I just told him I was going to go get a cigar and listen to my book. I walked in and there were about six older men sitting around in some older well worn chairs smoking cigars. All eyes turned to me and they asked me what I wanted. Not being shy in this industry I said I wanted to purchase a cigar and sit down, smoke my cigar, and listen to my book. After a long pause from them I just walked into the humidor. The owner got up followed me in. He asked me if I had been in before and I told him I had. He then reminded me that he only carried his own hand rolled brand. Then he immediately directed me to the sweet cigars (insert eye roll here!). I told him I do not like sweets and only smoke maduro cigars. The reference that a woman could only like sweet cigars irritated me. I was a bit worried this visit wasn't going to go well, but again I'm not easily intimidated by a boys club. I paid and again had to explain that I was staying for a bit and needed my cigar cut and a lighter. I wasn't feeling overly welcome, but I took my seat and put my earbuds on. I asked if I could charge my extra bluetooth headset and phone and they easily accommodated. After sitting there for awhile and then getting up to take my pics for Yelp my cigar went out. I got up to relight it and the guys were very helpful and even a bit chatty. I think after they figured out what I was doing (just enjoy my cigar and minding my own business) they lightened up. We even talked about the movie that was on the TV. I will say I agree with one of the "One Star" reviews about the cleanliness.....it's not! If you are expecting a nice clean cigar bar this is not your place. If you just want to hang out and smoke a good cigar or pick up a good smoke to take this is your place. My maduro was a very easy nice draw that had great flavor. It was quite enjoyable especially at the around $6 price point. I wanted a quick smoke so I picked up the smallest maduro he had and I'm guessing it was about a 5 1/2 - 6 inch and a 46 ring gage, but I didn't see any names or sizes on the boxes. Richie the very personable owner has always accommodated me by mailing me his cigars to both the U.S. Virgin Island and now Florida. You won't get them anywhere else, unless you order from their website, so make notes of what you got so you can buy them again. Also, even though I felt like I was infiltrating the manly inner sanctum, the guys here were really nice to me while hubby shopped--asking if I wanted something to drink, somewhere to sit. I'm no good shopping unless there are labels and explanations, y'know how that goes. But the guy on duty helped my guy pick out some good stogies based on a friend's recommendation and also based on what hubby thinks he likes. If you're travelling somewhere and want to impress a cigar afficionado, think about picking a few up here and taking them with you in a travel pack. It would make an impressive gift from Vegas. Really good hand rolled cigars! Free beers & burgers (while watching the Army / Navy game) were offered to us even though no one had ever seen us in there before. That's crazy cool, if you ask me! The owner, Richie, was great. The atmosphere had a solid man cave feel to it with plenty of sunlight which I enjoy. That said don't expect it to be fancy like the Davidoff cigar bar with mood lighting & fancy drinks for the ladies. And I was more than OK with it since I get more than enough of that overpriced Vegas experience on the strip! LVCC was more like my hometown cigar lounge. Leaving Sunset Park we noticed a cigar company and figured what the hell and went in. I was surprised to find it wasn't a tobacco shop, but a handmade cigar line of cigars. I know, I know the name implies it, but I've seen some general shops go by "company" even when they don't make anything. We were greeted by the owner of the store who explained who they are and what they do. They do not carry any other cigars, just theirs. He apparently used to be on the strip, but has since scaled down and has been in this location for a long time. With over 25 years of business this is a cool support-your-locals stop, a solid Vegas institution of unique smokes. You can smoke there, there are various seats and billiards even. They have their standard medium bodied, a full bodied maduro, something labeled cubadom, their premium Don Bernardo line and flavor laced cigars. Each category had various sizes. We went with their medium bodied in a Montefino size. You can check out on their website what they sell and can order online as well. Reasonably priced, it was about $11 for both our cigars. He was very friendly and personable the whole time so the service was good. My only irk is man when people assume I don't smoke and when I say I do usually point me to a flavor because I'm a lady. I get it, I'm not the typical client, but there is a 60 year old refined man inside me that smokes cigars and drinks scotch in a 24 year old lady body. While we can smoke there, I decided to take it home where it can be enjoyed with scotch in my panties out on my porch at 3am (until nightbees made me run the hell inside). The cigar was a bit spicy for my personal taste, but very nice roll on these as the draw was easy and wonderful. While skinny ones tend to be easier to draw, some still don't hit to this easy level. It was quality indeed. If you're looking for a unique Vegas gift for a smoker or want something different for your everyday smoke, look no further. read more

This place is the greatest. So old-school without TRYING to be any particular way. The regulars work on their laptops or play poker or billiards while smoking some delicious cigars. In fact, about those cigars -- they are all made from a proprietary blend and process developed by the owner and they taste AMAZING. Definitely like going back in time, perhaps visiting the Water Buffalo Club a la The Flintstones! Lot of dusty merchandise but the cigars (hand made) are clearly a labor of love for the owner. I purchased 6 cigars, two of which were sweetened (the tobacco is sprayed with sugar cane water). I don't eat sugar so to my taste the cigar was like eating birthday cake.
