Exit and there is plenty of covered and uncovered outdoor seating while you wait for your order, which is called out at the counter window. We each got a coffee, and then split an Olga Rising breakfast biscuit sandwich, which was AMAZING. Soft and tender biscuit, perfect amounts of toppings, sweetness from the jam...just fantastic. Wouldn't hesitate to come back.

There are no tables inside, so I took my sandwich to a nearby bench. There are tons of places to sit and enjoy the views in Friday Harbor. I will absolutely come back here next time I come to FH.

One thin and narrow (1/2") slice of pre-cooked bacon was severely underwhelming). A thin layer of avocado spread(?) rather than avocado. Swiss fine. Mayo fine. Red onion fine. Two slices of bread that were not toasted...so essentially a turkey sandwich. I returned to ask about the correctness of the order and the woman behind the counter got chippy immediately stating that this is the turkey club and wrapped it up and handed it back without even long at it. I asked about the three slices of toasted bread listed on the menu. She said that the board is wrong and we don't do three pieces any more. I asked about the single piece of bacon and she wanted to hand me some more bacon. A $16 sandwich that wasn't as adversities and an unwillingness to make it right means we won't be returning. Until eating Orcas Island Market's carrot cake, I thought the best carrot cake I'd ever eaten was served at the restaurant atop Sax Fifth Avenue, New York. Potential carrot-cake connaisseurs should note that cakes are rotated daily albeit carrot cake is not offered daily. If you visit in the day carrot cake is served, buy a generous slice and enjoy.

What makes me sad is that I am not sure when I will get a chance to return to see if it was an off day for them and also, food prices are SO high it is disappointing to basically throw away $15 worth of food. Mixed reviews on the chicken rice bowl because the rice was slightly dry and teriyaki sauce tasted like soy sauce but the cabbage salad was delicious. Overall, I would come back. I'd definitely get the Mac salad and try some of their other dishes.

There seemed to be confusion on basic things and we saw our meal sit out for a good while before anyone brought it over. The bartender was trying hard and did recommend a terrific wine. Our meal overall was just ok and for the prices and high end focused menu (all $40-$50 entrees- no sandwiches and few apps to share), it felt like they should decide to either step up to run a high price restaurant or make this place more casual and better priced. Our dinner here fell flat and we will likely go into Eastsound for dinner next time.
