This is another reason that I am completely unhappy with the service, and will never choose them for any more of my laser hair removal services****** Oh, I'm writing this review I have had several procedures at LaserAway in Bucktown. I've had my under arms done my neck, my chin and a Brazilian front and back. I have to say when I had my first two procedures, which was the neck and chin they were pretty good, and this intern made me book additional treatments for other body parts. However, I have to say that my treatment for Brazilian was not the best. I do know that I am a heavier girl and I also had a hip fracture, and I made that abundantly clear to whoever it was that was servicing me on the day of my treatment. The reason I made this abundantly clear is because I am unable to do a butterfly when receiving the treatment so I have to have one leg, bent at a time and the other hanging over the table however, the problem is end was is that maybe because I'm a little heavier than what they're normally used to treating I would not know, but I would explain to the person who was doing my procedure the different areas that I noticed that had not Been addressed in a previous treatment. And I say that because certain areas would not grow back at all in certain areas where I was able to hold my leg or offer to hold my little belly set up was fine. I'm not a very hairy person, but I have certain areas that I feel like the hair was never removed, I was told when I called the 866 number/844 number that after having any procedure performed a hair assessment should be done this way is they feel that you may need some additional sessions at that time you would be made aware of it. I never received any of that, and to be completely honest I am very unhappy with my treatment for the Brazilian. On several occasions, I had to let the person know Who was performing my procedure that I am supposed to have resilient front and back. I had one time that the person did not do the back. And I normally don't complain about anything but seeing that this is something that was very pricey. I am going to complain because I was not happy with the service when I called to let them know I was told that a hair assessment is not done and they can't guarantee, the amount of hair loss normally they can only say 80% or however she phrased it. All I know is that I will never ever use laseraway hair again. Spending thousands of dollars for something that you're not satisfied with is horrible I was told that they can give me five treatments for 50% off which was still almost $700. I just don't think it's acceptable. I'm not very happy it was the worst experience ever. read more

I was recently seen at Laseraway for my second treatment after a hiatus since January due to having some medical issues arise. I was seen by a nurse practitioner named Aka who was the sweetest girl. She introduced herself and made me feel at ease within 30 seconds of meeting her. She asked me a few questions about my health history and any changes and thats when I informed her of a clot event that I had back in February. She knew exactly what I was talking about and asked me some more questions about it. I was very much impressed about her medical knowledge about this because I have been to other med spas where the practitioners have no idea what anything else in medicine is. She took the time to make sure that the medicines that I was on were not contraindicated and after that she completed my entire treatment with such thoroughness that I was really impressed. We somehow starting talking about dogs and she told me all about her new puppy. I felt at ease during my treatment and it went by without much discomfort. I then asked her about some botox treatment that I was interested in and she gave me very realistic information and never once tried to sell me anything. This makes me think that she does her job for the real reason of helping others and this is not a company where the employees are forced to sell treatments. I would like to schedule my botox treatment with her when I book because I feel as though we are good friends from my 45 minutes with her. When checking out the girls at the front desk were super nice and courteous and offered to help me make my next appointment. Also on a side note but something that is super important, they are doing a phenomenal job with covid cleaning. When I walked into my treatment room, it smelled like cleaning supplies which made me feel very nice to know that it had just been cleaned. I would suggest some lavender scented candles in the waiting room to add a nice aroma while you are waiting for your practitioner. Overall, excellent job LaserAway, I will definitely be back very soon! read more

Update: I had a disappointing experience with this merchant. After reaching out regarding an issue, they responded quickly, apologizing for my negative experience and directing me to contact a specific email address for support. However, the email provided (katrinav@laseaway.net) turned out to be invalid, and I have yet to receive any follow-up communication. This situation feels quite deceiving, as it seems like they are not genuinely interested in resolving my concerns. I hope they can improve their communication and support processes for the benefit of future customers. Original review: I am beyond frustrated with the appalling customer service I received at LaserAway. The level of negligence in communication I've encountered is astounding, and it feels like I've been misled from the start. I was explicitly told that upgrading to the 300-unit Xeomin bank would be more beneficial for me. I was assured that my initial payment of $1,150 would be reversed and that I would only need to worry about financing the new amount of $2,198.38 with Alphaeon. To my shock, I discovered that both amounts are still posted on my Alphaeon account, and the promised reversal of the $1,150 never happened. I've sent multiple emails about this issue, and nobody has reached out to me. It's infuriating that no one at your company has the decency to have a real conversation with me--whether over the phone or in person. I don't know if this is a case of outright lying or just a poorly executed business tactic, but either way, I am extremely disappointed. I trusted your business, and this experience has shattered that trust. I expect a prompt resolution to this issue. If you're going to promote a service, you need to ensure that your customers are treated transparently and honestly. Today will be my final day for my Clear and Brilliance treatment and this has been the most wonderful experience. There were a few bumps in the road at the beginning, but everything worked out and it has been wonderful. The young ladies at the Bucktown location are awesome. Sammy has been my contact person mostly when I have questions and she has provided me information on promos. They make you feel really comfortable during these treatments. They are very professional and really nice. I must admit, I had a lot of ambivalent feelings about going through these treatments, but it's well worth the money. Natalie has been the person doing my Clear and Brilliance treatments the last couple of times. She is so amazing and make you feel at ease. I have notice a major difference in my skin, but I still have a ways to go. Today Jasmine completed my last Clear and Brilliance treatment she did an awesome job. She and Natalie are very thorough. I love how they walk you through the whole process. They let you know what they're doing and ask you how you're feeling. It's a very comforting process. I would definitely recommend this treatment to anyone that's struggling with hyper pigmentation. I plan on starting my treatments again in 2022. After researching the Chicago area for an advanced medical spa, I am so happy that I found LaserAway. Jenna's friendly voice helped me through the free consultation scheduling process and never once pressured me to come in when I had to reschedule. She was patient and kind, given the fact that coming in for a consultation can be uncomfortable at times, I did not feel this way with Jenna. Not only did she reassure me that I am already beautiful but if I wanted to make any changes or book any appointments, that there are licensed nurses to help give recommendations and evaluations. I heard about Laser Away through a friend.  I attended the Grand Opening where I had a consultation with Alyssa.  She was very thorough, knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions.  I've been experiencing bumps under my skin on cheeks and chin so we decided on the Fire and Ice Laser Facial.  About 3 weeks later (due to my schedule and their availability) I went in for my facial.  When I arrived the women at the front desk was checking someone out but she made sure to acknowledge me and I was greeted with a friendly hello and smile.  Aaka and Kandace were the nurse practitioners that performed my service.  Before we started they gave me a good idea of what to expect  and consistently checked in throughout the service to ensure I was comfortable.  Very happy with the experience and could immediately see a difference in my skin.  I have a scar (I scar easily) on my cheek from a recent blemish and it is smaller and lighter.  IM SOLD.  I'll definitely be back! read more

I recently visited Laser Away and have nothing but great things to say about it! Street parking is easy, with free parking down the street or easy meter parking out front (parking in the city gives me anxiety, especially in this busy area!). The front desk staff was so helpful and friendly. The entire office is decorated really cute and is very clean. This was my 1st experience ever with laser hair removal: I had my Brazilian, armpits and legs done. The nurse practitioner Stephanie was so nice and made me feel extremely comfortable the whole time I was there. She was able to answer my questions and went into detail post care instructions. The pain was tolerable (waxing hurts 100000 times worse) and Stephanie was gentle and walked me through the entire process. Even after 1 treatment, my hair has grown in less coarse, making shaving a lot easier! I would 100% recommend Laser Away! read more

Such an amazing staff! :) Everything from start to finish was absolutely pleasant! When I first called to start my treatments and ask questions everyone who I spoke to was always so nice and helpful, couldn't have been a more pleasant and easy experience! I have had 10 sessions at the Bucktown location and I can tell you it is a nice place. Not only is it very clean welcoming, but it is a super efficient business. You get there and you're almost in and out for a session with an appointment. Their team is very good at what they do when it comes to actually performing the treatment. They're very patient and make sure you're comfortable, and also make sure you're getting exactly what you want done. Laseraway is my DEFINITE go-to place! My awesome nurse, Stephanie, does both my Botox and laser hair removal. For my Botox, she made sure I understood everything, including post-care instructions and what to expect. She made sure the white dots she placed on my crows feet were precise--double/triple checked everything! I couldn't even feel when the needles were in. For laser, she was very thorough and set the expectations as well. Made sure I didn't have any sun exposure before (and reiterated the importance of afterwards too!). She also even asked about any spray tans I have gotten recently--who knew those would affect the laser! She offered me a stress ball just in case. I've had a positive experience thus far at the Laser Away location in Bucktown for hair removal services. The staff are always friendly and helpful, answering all of my questions and making sure I felt comfortable throughout the entire process. I especially appreciated the nurses who performed the treatments as they were highly knowledgeable, and they took the time to adjust the laser settings based on my pain tolerance to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. In addition, the whole process is always very quick - appointments usually took between 15-30 mins but no more than that for treating three different areas. Overall, I would recommend Laser Away to anyone looking for laser hair removal services in Chicago. My First impression of LaserAway was How friendly and happy and excited The team was when I walked in. It made me feel super comfortable. Tamar was my technician and she was so amazing at explaining every detail of what was going to happen. I went in for the thermage treatment. She could tell I was super nervous because I heard that it hurt really bad, But she comforted me and made me feel very calm and talked me through every step of the entire process of the procedure. It really helped that she was telling me everything that was happening. She was very gentle, she did an amazing job, the results I could tell right away before even leaving the room. I heard of Laser Away from a YouTube ad, and honestly, calling was the best decision that I could have made! The ladies at the Bucktown location are the best. If you can be seen by Jazzy or Aseel, then rest assured that you're in good hands. Both ladies are so friendly, and knowledgeable. Best part is, Laser Away always has a promotion of some sort going on. I came in looking for treatment in one area, but got a deal on another. For reference: I am African-American, with a deeper skin tone. My main concern was if I would be burned, as it has happened in the past, under a different laser removal provider. I'm happy to say, I have received nothing but the best care for my skin, during each of my treatments at Laser Away. Nurse Vanesa is Amazing! it was my first visit at LaserAway, but she made it seem like I'd been there a million times and made it comfortable. They acknowledged me and my appointment, they got me into a room quickly and informed me really well on all the best things to expect and what brilliant results await. I really loved the way NP kandice and RN Vanesa worked as a team. Vanesa was very knowledgeable and walked me step by step throughout the whole process making it a piece a cake for me. Absolutely adore this place. I go for Botox, IPL facials and laser tattoo removal. The staff is the friendliest, their machines are top notch and their facilities are flawlessly clean. They often run specials so you can try multiple services and have fair prices! Making appointments is easy over the phone or online and they can always squeeze me in last minute whenever I need it. One if my favorite perks is the multiple locations which offer the same great service. LaserAway and the ladies that work here are truly the kindest, most accommodating group of people I've ever met. This the first place I've gotten laser removal done and they made me feel extremely comfortable immediately. I also love that the ladies who perform the laser removal are nurses or PAs. So I've had laser treatment in past for upper lip years ago and I remember it being so painful. Heading into my first treatment with laser away I was mentally bracing myself for the pain. The staff was so kind and noticed I was nervous about the pain. So they recommended to try numbing cream for more sensitive areas, and I'm so thankful I tried it! I was dreading my first laser treatment but I barely felt a thing! I appreciate the kind reception from the staff.
