Came to their pop-up, but they barely had any supplies we couldn't even get matcha because they were out. We all got the pandan hojicha, and it honestly felt like we mostly paid for ice. It was pretty expensive, and it might have been worth it if we were able to get the matcha. Maybe it just wasn't their day I'd still love to try them again on a better day. read more

I didn't get these drinks from the pop-up, but I ordered them through curbside pickup instead. I tried the Lucky Charms matcha, and the layering is so pretty. The matcha flavor is strong, while the cream top has a light vanilla note, so it's not too overpowering, but still good overall. For some reason, I assumed the French toast matcha would come with a cream top, but maybe I'm wrong. This one has a stronger flavor, and the cinnamon really stands out. It's good! read more

Amazing pop up shop! I've been here twice and she's exceeded my expectations both times. I first found out about the cafe through social media and went to one of the collabs with 313 Wellness at the Hayes Mansion just so that I could try the matcha! I love that she uses Nami Matcha because it's one of my favorite matcha brands. I personally use it at home but this cafe takes matcha combinations to the next level and is unmatched to any formal cafe. I was lucky to try the Sticky Dates matcha, Lychee Berry matcha (the best matcha experience I've ever had) and then the Mango Cloud matcha. Her cream top alone deserves a 10/10 rating by itself. Last Chapter has been my favorite cafe for almost a year now! Their drinks are creative, the taste is consistent and the staff are the kindest people. My absolute favorite drink is the Banana Matcha, it's just perfection! You can taste the premium matcha, it's creamy and the flavor of banana is not overpowering and pairs nicely with the matcha. Also, most cafes charge for a dairy free replacement, they do not. I follow their Instagram to see where they will be next and I'm hoping they open a permanent location soon. read more

Last Chapter Cafe has delicious matchas and hojichas! I was really excited to try their matcha since they use Nami Matcha, which is the same matcha powder I use at home. Next time I go, I'll have to try their coffees because those also look incredibly good. I highly recommend going to one of their pop-ups and trying their drinks! I got the Banana Matcha & Gingerbread Matcha at their Cupertino holiday pop-up, which I was happy to catch on a Thursday morning! Reasonable pricing. Baristas and owner were friendly and quick! Was super excited to try Nami Matcha, which is popularized on social media and seen all over my Instagram feed. The matcha is super earthy and had a strong bitterness that I enjoyed. It balanced pretty well with the milk. Of the two drinks I got, my favorite was the Banana Matcha! So yum! The matcha was fragrant and earthy, but the banana could definitely have a stronger flavor. I appreciate that the drinks aren't too sweet! It's about 25% sweetness naturally compared to other cafes. So if you're expecting a super sugary drink, this is NOT FOR YOU. read more

There was a pop up event at Rocksalt, so i decided to treat myself to a latte after my workout class. They had a good variety of options to choose from between espresso, lattes and Matcha lattes. I went with the Shamrock Latte because it seems so creative, and I haven't seen any latte like that before. The service was very quick, and I got my drink super fast. It was so cute to look at! I also loved the color of the latte! I think that shade of brown is perfect for my coffees. The cold foam on top was peppermint flavored and it was so delicious! I went to my Pilates class only to find a charming pop up right outside! It had gathered a line, so I decided to order after class. It was the perfect post workout treat! I ordered the banana mocha with regular milk, iced. It was the perfect blend of banana flavor, cream, and coffee. I am usually unimpressed with many coffee spots, but Last Chapter was a hit!! Last Chapter Cafe is my favorite home-based/pop up coffees. Her cookie butter latte is my absolute favorite!! I've been wanting to venture off and try her other creative drinks, but I feel like I'm cheating on the cookie butter haha. You can customize your sweetness and ice levels and type of milk. I got to try the salted matcha maple and the caramel apple crisp latte after my lagree class at Kai Lagree. They were both super yummy! They have a partnership with nami matcha and the flavor is pretty interesting compared to other matchas I've tried. Last Chapter Cafe, Nami Matcha, and Kai Lagree are all aapi and women owned (please correct me if I'm wrong) which is pretty great! I've been a loyal customer of Last Chapter Cafe since the very beginning, and out of all the matcha spots I've tried in the area, they are by farrrrr my favorite. The quality, consistency, and care they put into everything truly sets them apart. My absolute favorite drinks are the banana matcha and the cookie butter latte. The banana matcha does not have that artificial banana flavor that so many other cafes use, which I really appreciate. The matcha ratios are always spot on, never grainy and never watered down. The sweetness level is always perfect for my taste. You can really tell how intentional they are with every drink they create. They are always coming out with new seasonal drinks, which makes it so fun to keep coming back and trying something new. It never gets repetitive, and you can genuinely see the thought, creativity, and effort that goes into curating their menu. On top of the amazing drinks, the owner and employees are truly some of the kindest people. Their hospitality and service are top tier. There have been multiple times where I've ordered 10+ drinks, and they have gone out of their way to help me carry everything safely to my car, which they absolutely do not have to do. we picked up an order last week! we ordered 1 strawberry crumble matcha and 1 banana pudding latte, both are sooo delicious! only con ATM is the online ordering system, carts are timed and overall, you have limited time to purchase! deadline date and time are above menu on the website, usually showing when you have less than 24 hrs to order, and sometimes you only have until 4-5 PM to place your order ahead. I've been a huge fan of this popup for a while. In fact, this is honestly the only popup I've been returning to. I love all of the drinks I've ordered so far and this popup has one of the most diverse menus I've ever seen. I've tried the Banana Matcha, Double Strawberry Matcha, French Toast Matcha, Raspberry Cheesecake Matcha, and many more. All of them were thankfully not too sweet and the extra flavors don't overwhelm the matcha itself. The owner is super sweet and has been nothing but honest and down-to-earth. I have no complaints. I've tried going to their pop-up because I enjoy supporting small businesses. I also understand pop-ups run until sell-out, however, I was turned away for business, while witnessing other customers getting accommodated after being turned away. Perhaps these customers were her "homies?" Not sure. But I intently watched a woman prompt her colleague to turn me away as she smoked, yet happily serviced others as I walked away. Established in 2025.

Last Chapter Cafe started from my love for books, coffee, and matcha. I always dreamed of having a cozy place where people could meet up for book clubs, hang out, or just slow down with a good drink. But in the Bay Area, I couldn’t find a single cafe within 50 miles that was truly centered around books or created with readers in mind — so I decided to build it myself. What began as an idea turned into pop-ups, community events, and a growing group of people who love the same things: good drinks, good company, and good stories. Last Chapter Cafe is my way of giving the Bay Area a space that brings all of that together.

I got their EGGspresso Hanoi, which surprisingly, was not bad at all. I loved how consistent the egg batter was, and the consistency of the coffee was quite equal. I will be back to try their other drinks, and hoping that their customer service could improve just a little bit more. I know they have the potential, but being more courteous goes a very long way compared to being bland in attitude, obviously.

Also, they lacked the difference in taste and we couldn't tell apart the difference in orders. The Vietnamese iced coffee was horrible. It was so dark and bitter and left a really strange aftertaste. Though I will say the matcha guava was really good. The cream top tasted like fresh guava, and it complemented the matcha very well. That was the only redeeming drink here.

While the tables of the banquette seating along one wall were all taken, there were plenty of other tables and chairs available. My matcha was very pretty and tasted legit. The fancy pastries (some savory/some sweet) from Neighbor Bakehouse in San Francisco all looked beautiful and yummy. The ones I tried were all delicious. The selections were limited, but you didn't have to go all the way to SF to get them. This would be a great place to have a nice cup of coffee while getting some work/study done, too.

The custard cloud was on the sweeter side but I really enjoyed the eggy top which had a lot of flavor as well. Such a great coffee pop up and I'll have to try the matcha next time! They also sell the cutest matcha bowls!

They roast onsite. Real deal, Holyfield. I started with an espresso. Then a cortado. Then grabbed a bag of Yirgacheffe to go because I gotta see what else they got going on. . These guys clearly know what they're doing; and if they don't, they accidentally perfected it anyway. The espresso was balanced, clean, and intentional. Nothing hidden behind over-roasting or gimmicks. Just refined quality coffee handled correctly. I'm genuinely glad spots like this exist, and even happier one sits right here near my fam. When my husband asked about their most popular specialty drink, she mentioned the "Milky Way" and compared it to a Starbucks macchiato--which felt like an odd comparison for a specialty coffee shop that otherwise seems to take pride in its craft. More than anything, the interaction came across as disengaged and a bit uninterested, which stood out because places like this usually shine in both product and service. We'll likely still come back for the coffee and food, but I do think the service experience matters a lot--and this visit didn't quite meet expectations on that front.
