Hired 3 guys for 26' container to unload. We hired two separate moving companies to load and unload, we hired Last Mile to unload only. It took previous movers 11 hours to load. These guys unloaded in less than 2.5 hours and were professional, upbeat, cracking jokes along the way and personable. We had newly painted walls and there were minor scuffs. Only a few boxes were misplaced even though they were labeled but ill attribute that to my wife's chicken scratch handwriting on the labels. If you're curious to know, previous loading company hired skinny 20 year Olds who couldn't lift certain furniture which required me hours to disassemble and reassemble because of this. They were cheaper. Lesson learned l, spend the money to do it right with Last Mile movers! read more

I've moved in the past and finding movers or a moving company is always tricky. If you're reading this, I know you know my pain. Well that ends today because this is it, you don't need to look any further. They were fast, arrived on time, moved all the furnitures (and bajillion small stuffs) with care and followed instructions to the T. Yes they will wrap your furnitures with sheets so it doesn't get damaged on the way. Yes they will put plastic wrap around your mattress (if you want) so it doesn't get dirty. Okay you say other companies do it as well? But do they do it without adding some bogus hidden fees? Charging you $30 per Saran wrap type of bs (happened to me before)? With Last Mile, you'll know all the charges beforehand so there are no surprises at the end. And the best part? The price point is actually more than fair to begin with. Moving sucks, but having good movers makes it a little easier.  Excellent communication from the very first inquiry.  They were transparent, fair, and personalized the quote, which was refreshing after receiving dozens of ridiculous quotes that seemed to be pulled out of thin air and based on no information I provided.  On the day of the move, they showed up on time and prepared to start the job immediately. They were polite, efficient, conversational, and respectful and handled our items carefully.  They were strategic/creative with packing. Wow, sometimes you just hit the jackpot! Short and sweet: I've found all my movers through Yelp, and this was the best experience yet! Best pricing, fast and efficient, friendly, and on time! From cross country, to closing a business, to storing stuff and moving a couple times.. this has been the best -use them! (And thank you Will + teammate) The deets: I thought another moving company was pretty awesome, not even going to mention their name it was so lack luster (even with all the reviews) and after the price comparison - should have written a negative review.. still up for debate since I hate bashing businesses, but hey, we are here to talk about this business! (Side note, I didn't go back to my old mover after I saw the condition of where my stuff was stored and the non-negotiable costs for everything - I feel really taken advantage of ) In walk Last Mile Moving to the rescue! Really just amazing! Timing: showed up about 10 minutes early and in the afternoon -brownie points because I know we weren't their first move and they even called when they were a little out and when they got there. Best part: The move only took 3 hours. AND they had to make 2 stops.. 1 to my storage that had the worst elevator and 2 to my 2nd story condo! And we were moving from Scottsdale to MESA!!! Like how?? Still amazing and shocked! Again, given my last experience, I thought it was going to take at least half a day. We were so grateful we got them lunch and waters and of course a great tip! (IMO) When they showed up in a Penske truck, I did get a little nervous, like a reseller company, but I'd do it all over again! Not for the move clearly, but for the great work! They even had to take apart my bed and bring down my temur-pedic king size mattress!! Like just wow!! That thing is my only nightmare when moving Now to what everyone wants to know: cost. I will say we did pay more than what their Yelp page states, I think $125/hr vs the $115, BUT it was 50% less than that what I've paid with my other moves! We had a fee and idk if it was for the extra stop or what, but with how hard those guys worked, I'll do it over again, because it's still less than slow extra hours movers! Even uhaul charges for dollys, blankets, and boxes, this was all included - didn't need boxes, but they had the clothes rack boxes, which would have been clutch should I have known! Will and his coworker (I'm so bad with names! Sorry dude, but had fun hearing you and the hubby talk Hot Wheels!) - yes, they talked AND worked! Made it personable, AND still got the job done!! No complaining.. I think I did more than them, lol.. no excuses for breaks, no cigarette butts, just good hard work. So if you got this far, now you know why I had to write such a detailed review.. my husband said it was too much, but are there enough words to express how grateful a person can be :) Truly the best moving experience, for moving of course! RUN!! Please read before hiring! If you love your things and especially if it's expensive RUN!! Low budget, lacks character and has no care for your belongings. Where do I even begin. There's no way to make this a short post. This was by far the worst nightmare move nobody deserves. I did like most people read all the great reviews and ignored the bad ones, but if you really look the bad ones are VERY bad. The way they conduct business I am not surprised if they have family and friends leaving these "great reviews". This was my experience. I was quoted for $900 for 6-8 hours to pack my home and load everything in my uhaul. The owner called me 3 times to go over everything I have in my home. Apparently he doesn't take notes for each client. On the day of the move I had some simple requests, please keep all the screws with each piece of furniture and wrap my mirrors and TV's in boxes and blankets and wrap all of my expensive furniture. I asked to label each box so we know what room they go in. I was willing to pay whatever I needed to pay to make sure my things were protected. This was made CLEAR. During the move I asked and reminded them several times to label boxes and wrap everything in boxes and blankets. All three of them looked me in my eyes and said, YES we are doing that and not to worry. They did NOT. After about 10 hours, the owner told me that he needed to drop his guys off and that he would come back to finish the job because his guys were tired. It was literally one hour to finish the job. Before he left, he asked if I could pay them first and promised me that he would return in an hour. We waited for him for 3 and a half hours and he ignored my messages and calls. At this point my driver and I started to try to load the remaining things in the truck. These movers lodged the latch of the truck so hard that even my other professional movers needed tools to get it open! I was forced to leave many things there to have it shipped and pay someone else to come out the next day to take down all the brackets and things that were hung on the walls. The owner lied and deceived so he could quit when he thought he'd done enough, take my money and run. Completely unprofessional. The next day he texted me saying he fell asleep? He did not offer to come back the next day or do anything to help the situation. When we arrived in my new state my movers looked at the placement of the furniture and asked if I loaded the truck myself because there's no way a professional did this! Then they proceeded to take photos of the truck before unloading and during so they were not liable for all the damages. One TV had no blanket, no box, screen facing down with boxes on top of it. I had four TV's and only two were wrapped up the other two not even a blanket to protect the screen. Expensive Z Gallarie mirrors not wrapped no protection and pressed against heavy furniture and the walls of the truck. So many things damaged because they were too lazy to protect my things. The things they did decide to protect didn't have one scratch on it. Then I notice that only a quarter of the boxes were labeled. So now I'm outside in the heat paying extra for my new movers to open each box to see which room they go! The screws I asked them to keep together, were all scattered on the floor of the truck. Not only did they not keep it with the furniture as they told me they did, but they decided it was a good idea to put them in a ripped bag and throw it in the truck. These people are truly scum, they will look you in your eyes and say what you want to hear and be very convincing just so they can get your money and run. I ended up paying 1800 plus a 200 tip for an unfinished job. Even my receipt was on a cardboard box! When I contacted the owner with my concerns he blamed it on my "inexperienced driver". In reality this "inexperienced driver" is a truck driver and has been in that business for over 8 years. This owner made so many excuses blaming everyone else and did not accept the fact that things got damaged because it was not properly packed/protected as I asked. I paid them to PACK my things and not just throw it in the truck!! When I asked him for his insurance information he continued to deny that not protecting my things could lead to damages. He won't comment on the fact that he didn't come back to finish the job and deceived me, or the fact that they all lied to my face during the move about everything being wrapped. This low budget company will literally put the blame on anyone else but themselves. Run!!! Yelp doesn't allow me to post more photos but it gets worse!! read more

We got off to a rocky start. About N hour before our move was to take place, I texted to check on arrival. They informed me that they were going to be about 1 to 2 hours late as first move was bigger than described. After another couple hours I texted for an update and was told it was probably going to be another 3 to 4 hours. We were moving from storage facility which closed at 6 pm for access so I informed them that wasn't going to work. Long story but ultimately they came they for us the next morning. Justin did a great job and we were happy with the move. One other thing of note was that when I asked for quotes, I specifically said we needed someone familiar with assembling our sleep number bed at our new location. I reached out to Gkar, the owner of the company to move a 2 bedroom apartment to a different 2 bedroom unit within the same community. He quoted me $120 per hour for 2 movers and a $35 service fee. This is the quote I received after telling him I don't need a moving truck. This seemed reasonable so I hired him. On moving day, he showed up with himself and 2 movers. He never mentioned that the price would be increased SUBSTANTIALLY. Also keep in mind I didn't need a moving truck since I was moving within the same community. Apparently he thought it would just increase the price to $150 per person (now were at 3 movers as well). The movers and himself all were very nice, but they moved all of our stuff and threw it in a huge pile stacked on top of everything in the living room. They did not move anything into the bedrooms. They literally piled our beds, bed frames, and all of our furniture into one pile. Another thing to add, we helped them the entire time which was 6 of us and 3 movers. Considering the amount of people moving, you would think it would go by in a couple of hours. We had everything ready to be moved and packed up for them to move. They took 4 hours. We do not have that much stuff. Do not expect to have it moved room by room. If it does it will all end up in one big pile. After all of our belongings were moved, they said they were going to our vacant unit to collect payment. Right after they said that I received a call from a woman I never talked to saying she was outside my vacant unit to collect the payment. I'm assuming this the owners wife? I showed up to my vacant unit and the movers were no where to be found. Bolted out of the door and never said good bye. I went to my vacant unit and it was just the woman by herself and she gave me an outrageous bill. After questioning it once, she offered to take $90 off immediately. It seemed it was planned to give me a much larger bill to see if I would notice. She told me because I didn't have a moving truck it will now be $150 per person instead of $120. From the beginning he knew I didn't need a moving truck so that didn't make sense. Very disappointing experience. read more

Heads up people don't hire Last Mile Movers owned by a guy named Gkar. He has great reviews but I don't know why! When I first spoke to him he said he could send me three guys and a big truck. That was a month before the move and during that month I texted him a few times and it took him 3 to 4 days to get back to me. That should have been my red flag that he has poor communication follow-up, but duh me used him anyway! The day before the move the packers came. The two were relatively new to packing and it showed. They didn't label most of the boxes, so now I have boxes all over the place in the wrong rooms and can't find anything. I'm 67, my husband is 70, moving boxes around all day to unpack is killing our old bodies! If they had labeled things they would have been in the correct rooms and easier to find! Who doesn't label boxes when you move? Geez that's just common sense! I've moved cross country three times and had packers and this is the worst packing job I've ever seen! What a mess! Next on packing day he showed up with a giant truck. I was moving a four bedroom house with a three-car garage and I figured that truck would be big enough for the move the following day. But on the following day, on moving day, he showed up with a tiny Penske rental truck! It took three loads back and forth to the new house to get the job done! I asked for a big truck and three guys and he told me that was doable. He sent me three guys in the morning and then pulled a guy at noon. So now I had a little truck and two guys and the move took all day. It nearly killed me going back and forth all day and trying to make order out of their chaos! Because they did three truck loads they brought the boxes in first and then the furniture after and the furniture couldn't get around the boxes, once again common sense did not prevail here! After they unloaded the last stuff at 5:30, we started at 8:15 am, they were going to just leave without putting anything together. I talked them into staying to put our bed together and the backs back on the couches. They couldn't assemble my heavy oak desk because they lost the leg. Then they just left. So I have my yard furniture out back in the backyard on the rocks, not on any patio (geez). The couch that goes in my office is now in my garage. They broke my oak desk and then lost the corner leg so we can't assemble it. They took apart a day bed and never put it back together and lost all the screws. My $200 soundbar was found but the wires are not with it and neither is the remote (I'm hoping to eventually find it)! They broke a seat on one of my kitchen chairs and gouged a hole in the leather seat. They nicked up all my bookshelves. They took the top off of my husband's desk to get it out of the room and never put it back on. Plus it's going to take me weeks to find stuff! I'm sure there's more stuff I haven't unpacked yet that's broken. So he wanted $1,500 for the 5 mile move. I negotiated him down $1000 and already paid him another $800 to do the worst packing job I've ever seen. He was hoping if he negotiated down I wouldn't review him, but I'm still going to Google review him because I feel the need to save other people from his chaos, especially retirees! Stay far away from Last Mile Moving unless you want to be lied to and all your stuff broken, dinged up, disassembled and not put back together. read more
