I love a good bagel, so when my friend said he thinks these were the best bagels, I had to make a stop. Small quaint shop with friendly service. I placed an order at the counter to eat in, an egg everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, untoasted, and a side of home fries. It was only $7, which felt like a steal once it was placed in front of me. I was really happy they offered an egg everything bagel because they have been a favorite lately. The bagel was really good, a little average, but very enjoyable. I appreciated the thick schemer of cream cheese, and it tasted like they mixed it up in house. The side of home fries was massive! They were nice and soft but still crispy on the edges, I added some salt pepper and hot sauce at the table and they were perfect. They offer a ton of different breakfast and lunch options. I was surprised when we arrived to find the shop had a pretty large dining area with plenty of seating. The staff was very welcoming. We ordered 2 bagels, a jalapeño cheddar and a garlic bagel both with our go to veggie cream cheese. The jalapeno bagel was a little on the dense flat side, and had minimal jalapeno flavor. The garlic bagel was a stand out though, fat and not dense. The cream cheese was generous and had a Decent amount of veggies. Upstate New York just can't get its sh** together with bagels. I don't get it, just drive 2 hrs south and bite a bagel.. it's a WORLD of difference. Got a bacon, egg, and cheese on everything bagel. Cute cafe with plenty of seating. Convenient location as well, off Columbia St. The menu is pretty expansive and their bagel sandwiches are scrumptious. Really enjoyed the grilled ceasar on an everything bagel. The tuna pasta salad is also very yummy for anyone who like pasta salad and tuna. Employees are friendly and helpful when navigating the menu. The only thing I will note that I was a bit taken aback by is that the iced coffee is self serve. Could definitely cost less for the fact that customers do it themselves. read more

Finally got to try this place after hearing so many great things! I visited on a Sunday morning and unfortunately they were closing early that day so they were out of a lot of bagel flavors. I ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with honey walnut cream cheese, a sausage egg and cheese on a jalepeno cheddar bagel and a western omelet wrap. Everything came out fairly quickly and the service was very friendly. There are plenty of tables to sit at, however, I opted to take mine to go. Overall, everything was great. I do think the honey walnut cream cheese should be a little sweeter, but I definitely plan on going back to try more things! read more

My review is solely based on bagels. I can't speak to anything else. I honestly didn't like the bagel at all. It looked way better than it tasted. I would have given two stars but the prices were ok. Also they don't offer a vegan cream cheese, which in 2025 is absurd. I'm a bagel connoisseur and my favorite is NY style which this is not. It tasted like sourdough bread with bagel seasoning. We stopped by for breakfast and were happy with the convenient location. The bagels were fresh, soft on the inside, and really hit the spot. We appreciated the bagel chips, though they weren't really necessary alongside our bagels and I guess made the price higher. The tuna salad, unfortunately, was a bit bland and overly wet, but the pickle on the side was a nice touch and always appreciate a good pickle with my tuna salad. The tomato slices were cut too thick, which made the sandwich fall apart when biting into it, and the avocado portion was smaller than expected. On the bright side, the veggies tasted fresh and the service was quick and friendly, even during a busy time. I also tried an eclair, which had a generous amount of filling. The location is convenient and the service was great. However, I wasn't too impressed with my turkey BLT on a sesame bagel. The bagel itself was good, but the sandwich had a bit too much turkey and not enough bacon or mayo to balance it out. Stopped in during the week for lunch. My husband and I each ordered what we thought were hearty sandwiches because we were starving... I felt bad for my husband because his roast beef sandwich was so small it wouldn't have fed my five year-old. My sandwich was nothing special. Bagel sandwiches are hot and if you order ahead, they stick to the time they ask you to pick up, (can't stand when food is sitting there before pick up time.) It's Good! Very good, everything is fresh and cooked to order mostly except for the entries in the front cooler like polish favorites. They owners are kinda new when they took over from Golden Crust so i think they kept most os the same menu and recipes. Does not live up to the hype, unfortunately. After hearing about lines around the door at an authentic New York bagel shop, I decided to take the hour trek south to give them a try. As a lifelong New Yorker new to the Adirondacks, I was excited to try their bagels! Unfortunately, the cinnamon raisin bagels were *disgusting*; they did not taste of cinnamon, they had no raisins in it, and were gooey, with no crust. They needed to be cooked longer. The everything bagels tasted the same as what you get from Price Chopper up here. Also, they are on the small side. I wasn't expecting Ess-a sized bagels, but something more than what I got. The owner asked me to let her know what I thought of them, after telling her I have been looking for a good New York bagel ever since leaving Manhattan, so here's my review. I had a very unfortunate customer service experience with Latham Bagel today. I have patronized this restaurant in the past and recently starting to order under the current ownership. The food has always been excellent, very nice menu. Today however, one of the sandwiches in my online order was not correct (instead of Ham and Cheese, only cheese). Not a big deal, mistakes happen. My Husband called to make the shop aware and just wanted the correct sandwich or a refund for the difference in price. During the call, when the employee he was speaking to relayed his concerns to another worker he clearly heard in the background "what do you want me to do about it". At this point my husband told the employee he heard the comment and said it was poor customer service, we did not make the error and he was just expecting then to correct the mistake. My husband was frustrated about being questioned about how the order was placed and the rude comment but did not yell or swear. He was told they would make another sandwich and I went to pick it up. When I went in I explained to the young female employee, mistakes happen, it just caused frustration to hear the comment "what do you want me to do about it". The employee explained she made the comment because she is new and did not know what to do with online orders. She apologized and I told her no worries mistakes happen. All was good until the owner comes to the doorway and rudely said "it that her"? I asked the employee if the owner wanted to speak with me. At this point the owner came to the front counter and raised her voice and told me my husband was rude and people make mistakes and her daughter, the person he spoke to was in tears and told me never to order from them again. I was taken back for sure. I did not do anything. I was calm and was waiting for the sandwich. I had a nice conversation with the employee helping me prior to the owner's outburst. I asked the daughter if she cried, she looked fine to me (I was there within 5 minutes of the call). I was very surprised the conversation with my husband would cause tears. Then a male working the counter yelled to me to get out of the store, I was disrupting the business. I was not, I never raised my voice. I just wanted to get the sandwich and go home to finish my disrupted lunch. It was the owner who was disruptive. I found it interesting, the behavior the owner displayed to me (I had done nothing), the very same behavior she accused my husband of. However, my husband was not rude at all in his conversation. The owner was to me. As I was being loudly kicked out of the store, I gave the guy the finger. Not something I prefer to do but, this was so frustrating. Now in the meantime, before I got to the store, the owner also called my husband. She was very rude and accused him of being rude. Providing your phone number for orders is not for this type of call. I felt this was harassment. I guess she did not get her frustration out of her system and needed to go off on me as well. Sets a great example for her daughter. So just wanted to share. The owner really did not need to tell me not to order from them again, Latham has many similar business, also excellent food, who welcome customers and strive to provide excellent customer service, so I did not plan on returning. read more
