This was the second time going because the first time was such a good experience so we decided to go back but this visit was terrible. We got sat in the corner of the restaurant and forgotten about after that. We placed our order and somehow got our food after tables that got there way after us. And I know this because when we were sitting in the corner right by the glass wall where everyone that comes in walks by. After 30/40 minutes of the waitress not coming by she finally showed up and we asked for an update on our food and let her know if it hadn't been placed yet we would just leave, at that point we had been waiting for a ridiculous about of time. When the food came there was about 5 people that came out with our food and giving us not very nice looks and to top it off a couple things were not right with our order. We let the waitress know and after that we didn't get checked on not one time, not for water or coffee, a box or even the tab. We had to get up and go ask for our bill after we realized no one was coming back. I know restaurants get busy Sunday morning but that doesn't excuse bad service and huge wait times. Not once did they say it would take a whole, not once did anyone apologize for the many things that went wrong. This is the last time I'll ever go there. read more

I came here for a birthday breakfast and even though i was a little hesitant die to the emptiness with very few people inside, but i said "heck why not" and continued to dine here. The environment was very cool retro-like. Very clean and neat! Service was great, no complaints. Food was VERY delicious. We ordered the Swedish pancakes and biscuits and gravy. The pancake was very flavorful and so was the gravy. The biscuits seemed handmade. I would highly recommend this place, i will definitely return! read more

Wanted to go out for breakfast thought I would give latifs a try.... I ordered the Spanish omelette with hash browns and biscuits and gravy everything was really good except for the omelette... It was supposed to have chorizo in it but I could not find it anywhere there was a spaghetti sauce on top and inside.... And instead of bell peppers and onions I found myself drowning in celery.... I don't know why anyone would put celery in an omelette? read more

The food here is excellent. But due to poor service, I will not be supporting this local business. 20 minutes went by and all 4 waitress working at that time had brought drinks to every table except ours. People who arrived after us were served food before we even got water. I had to ask the waitress to take our drink order. She looked really annoyed and then brought us our drinks. Then another 30 minutes went by and nobody had taken our food order either. We had to ask to get helped right away. It was busy and we were expecting to wait- but when people who arrived after us were getting friendlier and quicker service we realized they were just ignoring our table of two entirely. It's sad to say but there seemed to be no remorse either. I love supporting local but service like that makes it really hard sometimes. read more

Stopped in for Friday night happy hour, the place is so cute with their retro diner vibe. We sat at the bar, lots of friendly people and our waiter Travis was so nice and on top of it! Good selection of drinks, apps and food. We got the Frose (fun slushy alcoholic drink), Nashville hot chicken and a burger- all so good! Good fries and ranch too! I used to like the place but each time I recommended it to my friends and relatives they said " no, how you even like the place" so last Sunday I went there with my son and ordered my favorite, Swedish thin. I ate 1/4 of it and found 1 piece of metal, not foil. So I search it and found 2 more. I told the waitress to take care of the problem so it won't be in others plate. I hate to complain out loud (bad for business). What bothers me is that I told them I'm not paying for it they were ok with it but still charged me for my son and for coffee. I guess being polite these days takes you nowhere and people take advantage of you. The manager didn't even bother to talk to me. I am never going back again. Had breakfast here after a hair appointment and was pleasantly pleased. The 2-egg breakfast with waffle was delicious, hash browns weren't greasy and crispy. Waffle could have been a little more crispy, which I will ask next time. My mom had the half biscuit and gravy which was plenty and the gravy was good with a well prepared sunny side up egg. Finally got the chance to try this place out! After hearing so many great things about this place and it's pies, we were excited to hear it was reopening. We stopped in for breakfast and were seated promptly. The service was great and the servers were very nice. The location itself is very nice and aesthetically pleasing. We ordered coffee to start the day. The coffee was very bitter and strong. I went for the eggs Benedict which had a delightful whipped hollandaise sauce. I opted for the country potatoes that were slightly cold when they came to the table. Overall, the food was okay. Still no pie on the menu. read more

So Happy to see Latif's back open again! I've been back in a few times already, because I missed it so much. I can tell you, I have NOT been disappointed! Each time I go in I make sure to order something different. The food and service have been Great! The best part of all this is that I was worried that the old vintage charm would of been changed or replaced. That is NOT the case at all. It's all still there, down to President Bush and Barbara Bush's chairs they sat in! There are some new faces, but a lot of original staff has returned. They seem to be so happy to be back. It's like a big family reunion between staff and return customers. Cheers to a job well done!! read more

Gave me food poisoning then when I called to ask for compensation I received an apology and a 15 dollar gift card after a rushed 60 dollar meal that they couldn't even properly prepare. Latif's is a step back in time to the days of diners with booths, tables, and 2 large counters. Colors are a nod to an era gone by. Service was disappointing as it took close to 15 minutes for a server to come to the table; hopefully that's a one-off experience. Ordered a patty melt and it was delicious! Friendly service, wait not too long. We really wanted to love this place. Cutely remodeled. Bright colors. Food was mediocre...I had the Swedish pancakes which had an odd flavor. My dining partner had regular breakfast of eggs and pancakes. Pancakes were spongey and lacked flavor. We might go back and try the lunch if in town but won't go out of our way. read more

I heard latifs had reopened and thought I would try it out. The restaurant looks great and I love that they added a bathroom downstairs. It was Labor Day and busy but I was seated right away. My friend and I ordered. We had coffee. The waitress refilled my friends coffee and walked away without refilling mine. 10 minutes later she finally came by so I could ask for a refill. We received our food almost an hour after ordering. My friends order was not right. It was missing something she had added. About half way into my omelette I bit into some eggshells and found two more pieces. The biscuits were not great (I make better at home). I am hoping that these were just some kinks since they just reopened. I will try again in a few weeks. read more

So glad this iconic restaurant is back open! The inside still has the same retro look which I love. I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and it was delicious. They have a great beer and wine selection! My drink of choice was their Froze' and it was delicious! The staff was very friendly which is hard to come by these days.
