Amazing bar service! All the cocktails were incredible. Pie, hot wings (extra toasted), smash burger that gives VFW a run for their money and salad with their homemade ranch is the best in town!

Detroit clumpy meringue. Not worth the $25 for the pie. I will buy the boxed Marie calendars next time.

Tastey or WasteY???? Kind of a waste, if you're getting the lemon meringue Pie. I know they stopped making their pies for a while and then brought them back. The lemon meringue pie is clumpy. Twice now that we bought a lemon meringue meringue was deflated not fluffy at all. Maybe they need a new chef to make their pies. I haven't bought any other flavor other than the lemon meringue because it used to be my favorite... Now not so much. I took two bites and I will be getting rid of the rest of this $25 pie.

If you are driving down 99 by Turlock, CA, you need to take the time to stop by this landmark restaurant. Family owned for three generations (so far) when I come back to visit family, I make it a point to stop for pie. They serve other items but peach peach and ice cream are my favorites www.latifspedretti.com

I've been working as a chef in the area for 12 years and I've never stopped inside. Today is a first. The bacon habanero burner is to die for, that first bite quite literally changed my life. I didn't expect that burger patty to be so hot and you can taste the char on it, it was a perfect medium temp. The hot honey made it perfect! Best burger I've had in a long, long time. The service was exceptional! Thank you so much, Taylor! The ambiance was perfect, great for relaxing mornings with your loved ones. Will definitely be back to try more menu items! Thank you!

I would have given this place better rating. However, this place is PRICEY. The three of us ended up $70. That's ALOT for my wallet. The food quality is above expectation but for me, once is enough. I would rather revisit a restaurant that's more of mom-n-pop than something "trendy" and expensive. We can't afford visiting this place. It'll break us before we can retire. Quality of food: A Quality of service: A Price: $$

Very close to getting 5 stars. Continues to improve since re-opening after the fire. Great canned beer selection in fridge by the entrance. Weekly specials and happy hour prices are hard to beat in the downtown area. Old school vibe of the original Latifs still exists, but Pedretti family making great improvements to attract a younger crowd too. Excellent service every time I've been here and breakfast options are very filling.

AMAZING to say the LEAST. Experience it for yourself!Crunch wrap had everything: crunchy, slight heat, freshness firm lettuce, sweet & savory. Espresso martini hit! The crew took great care of us! Love the down to earth ambiance.

French Dip sandwich and really good onion rings.

What a cool dinner. It's an old school dinner in a cool old building. We were there for brunch on a Sunday around 11 and it was packed! Always a good sign. The service wasn't the quickest understandably, but they have the friendliest servers. They offer great breakfasts and sandwiches. My French dip was pretty decent and Amy's Denver omelet was delicious. Others in our party had a tasty chicken wrap, an awesome breakfast combo, Swedish thins and more. I definitely recommend checking out this place.

It's since been sometime that I've been in a vintage restaurant with remnants of the 50s, 60s, and 70s! The ambiance is electric with everything community and the people love it! The food and staff are pleasant (Thanks Jenna!) Looking forward to the next time!

Shrimp Louie was a little bland and forgot tomatoes on my salad.

Went after a day downtown. My oldest got the chef salad, I got the shrimp Louie and youngest got fish and chips. Service and staff were all very nice. My daughter enjoyed her salad, but partially through mine, I noticed it was missing tomatoes and had to ask for them. My youngest ate her fries and Cole slaw, but didn't like the fish. I ended up eating hers. Maybe would try again for breakfast.

We were visiting from out of town and decided to stop by because of the excellent reviews this place had received. When we first walked in, one of the employees asked what I wanted. I explained that I was waiting for my husband before ordering. She responded by saying, "Oh well, they're waiting," referring to the customers behind me. I immediately replied, "That's fine, go ahead!" so the other customers could order first, but her reaction afterward felt dismissive and somewhat annoyed. We later placed and paid for our order. Shortly after, my husband decided he wanted a Biscoff latte instead, so we politely asked if the drink could be changed. Another employee kindly stepped in and said she could do it, which we appreciated. I specifically asked for the drink to be changed to an iced Biscoff latte. Unfortunately, when the drinks came out, mine was still hot instead of iced. I went back up respectfully and let them know there had been a mix-up. Both employees looked at each other and chuckled in what came across as annoyance. I even apologized for the inconvenience, but the first employee responded by saying, "We are just too busy." I completely understand that working in customer service can be overwhelming, and I always try to be patient and understanding. However, at the time there were only a couple of seated customers and just the two of us waiting for our drinks, so the comment felt unnecessary. By that point, the interaction from the moment we walked in had already made the experience feel uncomfortable. We ended up grabbing our drinks and leaving disappointed. I usually enjoy leaving positive reviews, especially for small businesses, so it was unfortunate because we came in excited after reading such wonderful things about this place.

While i wait for my fur baby to be done I pick up coffee at a new place each time. It's a cute little coffee shop with limited seating. I ordered a biscoff latte, hot, and a pesto turkey sandwich. The sandwich was delicious, the coffee was delicious, but it arrived iced. I was disappointed but didn't want to complain and the drink was good so I just dealt with it. My mom ordered a simple breakfast and she enjoyed it. It's a cute space and I would try it again.

Wonderful friendly helpful waitresses, who are attentive, great customer service, inside and outside seating-weather permitting. Right of Fwy 99 and Main St., in Turlock. Opens at 6:00 am and closes at 3 pm everyday- its a diner, and casual atmosphere! I would highly recommend my family, friends, and new comers. UPDATE: Went again a week ago, and yes the soup was delicious! We learned today that they have a variety of soups of the day. Even the lentil soup was delicious that we decided to take a bowl home to share or not.

So after church…read moretoday we decided to try the one in Turlock, thinking we'd experience the same quality food and service. We were sadly mistaken. Entering the restaurant, the first thing that caught our attention was the dirty floor, littered with food and paper products throughout the restaurant. Coffee and water came out quickly but never had a refill on the coffee until I had finished my meal. Not because I didn't want any, but our server was busy with other tables and didn't get to us until we were almost done. My wife's meal was mostly ok, but the English Muffin was hard enough to use as hockey pucks. My chicken fried steak had a weird flavor and not sure if it was on the gravy or the seasoning used on the meat. But it was just so-so, nothing to write home about. Best thing was the eggs, done perfectly and hashbrowns were pretty decent. Biggest complaint was the slow service, probably due to it being grad weekend and they were pretty busy with families (according to the cashier), and the extremely dirty place. The bathroom was also dirty, obviously nobody had cleaned it for quite a while. I blame management for not planning ahead and having at least 1 or 2 extra servers/busboys on hand to handle the larger crowd. We decided to return to the Ceres location and call that our home for Hod Rod Diner food. As another recommendation, I suggest taking the carpet out and just having a plain floor; much easier to keep clean than a carpet.

Even though the restaurant wasn't busy, the service was VERY slow. Luckily I was not in a rush. After my first experience and a few weeks later, I decided to go here for a steak dinner. I figured service would be slow, but I didn't care. I wanted good food. The burger was good the last time I was here, so I figured the steak couldn't be bad. WRONG. Ordered the Prime ribeye ($36). The ribeye quality was poor. If i had to guess, it was not prime but was more like a low quality choice steak. It was chewy. There was a big chunk of fat and it felt grisly. Honestly - if I had to guess what cut of steak it was, I would have said it was a "choice cut of chuck." (Note: I am not accusing them that it was a chuck steak, but felt like I was eating a chuck steak.) Then for dessert, I ordered the creme brulee cheese cake to go. I rarely order dessert, but I love both creme brulee and cheese cake. Back in my hotel, I opened up the desert and was disappointed. It was basically a cheese cake there they had a THICK hard caramelized sugar on top. I guess it was the caramelized sugar that mad them call it creme brulee. You couldn't eat the sugar because it was HARD. Disappointed in the dessert. I would go back there for the same burger. However, I don't think I would ever order anything else from this place. If I had to rate this restaurant, I would have given it a 4 on my first visit but a 1 on my second visit.
