a meal in a styrofoam container

This place is the definition of a cheap but good place that gets the job done. There were a fair assortment of offerings and sizes. I went with the standard 1/4 pound chicken with plantains and yuca fries. Most of their customers must be there for take-out but there are still tables for indoor dining. It's a fairly no-frills place but what did you expect?

    1/2 chicken and yucca fries

First order out after our move and with so many Peruvian chicken places around we have this a shot. My wife ordered the lomo saltado and I did 1/2 chicken with yucca fries and rice & beans. The lomo saltado was good. Saucy, a bit of flavor from maybe fresh cilantro, decent beef, and I think the white rice was seasoned slightly (might have just been salt, but like the right amount.) The chicken had a nice, subtle smokiness to it. Now I know for delivery you're not going to keep a crispy skin, but it was hot from the grill. Yucca fries were a good size. Yucca isn't that flavorful, but they were great dipped in the green sauce (a little spicy). Rice & beans were fine. A solid meal and now I think it's a good bar to compare other local chicken places with.

They definitely skimmed on the fish for the price. Ceviche de Pescado is $18 and I feel like I got $10 worth of fish.

This place is nasty. I order food from this restaurant. And I'm so disgusted!!! It was hair in my food TWICE!!! THAT DISTURBING & DISGUSTING . Never again will I eat from this restaurant. was 5 orders and after what we saw, all went to trash.

Half chicken with yuca and salad. Chicken and yuca were great! Salad..ehh

If you are a fried chicken connoisseur as I consider myself, you know that Popeyes taste different from Royal Farms and it taste different from Bonchon and you can put Jollibee in that list as well because you're going to get a different type of spice flavor that is very good.

Unfortunately, our visit on Saturday, August 1st was very disappointing. The biggest issue was the cleanliness. We waited about 20 minutes just to use the restroom because one bathroom was locked the entire time. After asking an employee to unlock it, we found it in unacceptable condition. The toilet hadn't been flushed, paper towels and toilet paper were scattered all over the floor, the sink was filthy, and it honestly looked like the restroom hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The service also left a lot to be desired. We had to repeat our order three separate times because it kept being entered incorrectly, and the order displayed on the screen still wasn't accurate. After ordering, we waited 15-20 minutes for our food. The dining area wasn't much better. The tables, floors, and overall restaurant were noticeably dirty, our table wobbled the entire meal, and there weren't any forks available when our food was served. However, despite those issues, the food itself was exactly what we've come to expect from Jollibee. Everything was served fresh, hot, and tasted great. That's the main reason we keep coming back. I just hope this location improves its cleanliness and overall customer experience because it has the potential to match the quality of the food it serves.

Most of this operation appears to be take-out. We placed a pickup order online and it was waiting for us by the time we showed up. We ordered two small chicken bowls and one "feast mode". The "feast mode" size was actually challenging for three people to finish! The "hive sauce" tastes like a honey mustard with maybe mayo? It's pretty good. I really wish Flavor Hive would have additional toppings - just cucumber tomato onion cilantro etc are quite minimal. Would be awesome if they could add something like beet salad or beans! The value at this place is excellent compared to the numerous other rice / slop bowl places in the area. It is a lot of food. I usually keep it simple -- ground beef, white sauce, cheese, cilantro with Doritos as the base. Smacks every single time. Though I had their loaded fries once and they were tasty as well. With so many locations across the DC Metro area there's plenty of location options to go to if one is more convenient than the other.

I noticed immediately that you made orders on a touch screen kiosk and typed in the number on a restaurant pager buzzer to alert you when your food was ready. We signed up for points on our order with Taco Rock by giving my email address and earned a $2 off reward on our first order to use that day. We ordered takeout - 6 lengua tacos. I sat at the bar and was served an iced water without realizing it. The bartender asked what I was ordering, so I decided to sample the happy hour classic margarita for $6. It was fancy for a $6 Margarita with a toasted lime on it. Delicious. I was impressed at how courteous and efficient the bartender was at her job. Idk if it was the captain and cokes but my wife and I went back for 3rds, and she went in for the ceviche. I'm telling you that alone rivaled anything I've had overseas, and after 6 years in LA trolling just about every taco joint there, Taco Rock could hold their own against anything in Cali. We actually ordered a huge catering package when we had some friends over this weekend and they didn't disappoint.
